Parham -- Edward Giddens Parham, who resided in Albuquerque for more than 35 years, died on August 23, 1998 in Port Isabel, Texas. Mr. Parham is survived by his wife, Evangeline; a son, Abraham; and his sister, Pat Attaway of Greensboro, Georgia. Mr. Parham's son, Rob, predeceased him. After attending the University of Georgia and playing on its football team, Mr. Parham served in World War II and then enrolled in one of the first classes at UNM Law School. He practiced for more than 30 years in areas ranging from successfully defending freedom of speech before the U.S. Supreme Court to criminal and domestic cases. Those who knew Mr. Parham will miss his very original wit, unique perspective of life, legal talents, and his ability to relate to people form all walks of life.
