WANEK -- MaryAnne Wanek, 63, born in Santa Fe, New Mexico on November 2, 1945 passed away on May 30, 2009 in Surprise, Arizona following a lengthy but courageous battle with diabetes. She was preceded in death by her father, Apolonio Moya and brother Patrick, an infant. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of over 30 years, Michael S. Wanek, her mother, Mabel Moya and her brother, George Moya of Cortez, Colorado. She is also survived by her children, Walter Roybal Jr. and wife Christine, Erik Roybal and companion Tammy Martin, Michelle Roybal and companion Orlando Archuleta, Lesley Lacy and husband Keith, Sherrye Lovato, Anna Brown, and Katie Orozco and husband Carlos. In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren, Walter Roybal III, Nichole Edwards, Candice McCloud, Monica Roybal, Jessica Roybal, Kevin John Lacy, Brandi Herrera, Jacob Griego, Samantha Wanek and Carlos Orozco Jr. MaryAnne, a woman of great faith, spent the majority of her life in White Rock, NM raising her family and was a very active member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. She had a beautiful smile, a cheerful attitude, and was always willing to help out those in need. Even during her illness she was positive and hopeful, as she was throughout all of the trials she faced in life. A Mass celebrating MaryAnne's life will be said on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. at the Shrine of St. Bernadette, 1800 Martha Street, NE in Albuquerque. Mass will be said by Fr. Tom Zotter, a long time and close friend to Michael and MaryAnne. Immediately following Mass, the Burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Albuquerque, followed by a reception in the parish hall at the Shrine of St. Bernadette in Albuquerque. BOMBER -- Margaret Isabella Bomber passed away peacefully on June 2, 2009. Margaret was born on March 22, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan to James and Annie Taylor. Margaret married Thomas Bomber on June 21, 1962. They had three children Cheryl Agosto of Mesa, Arizona, Mark Bomber of Denver, Colorado and Karen Bomber of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Margaret is survived by; her husband, three children, brothers Colin and John Taylor, a sister Barbra Taylor and four grandchildren Christina, Michael, Angela Agosto and Kayle Bomber. Margaret Graduated from high school in Detroit and worked as a certified dental assistant until she married. Her husband Tom was an Air Force officer and they were an Air Force family for 20 years. Margaret made every new location a loving and nurturing home environment for her family. After retirement the family settled in Albuquerque. Margaret saw her children grow up, graduate from college and go on to successful careers and happy lives. She is truly missed by her family having been taken from them so young. There will be a viewing for family and friends to pay their respects at Daniels Family Funeral Services on Wyoming from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday June 4, 2009. MAREK -- Tom Marek, 68, resident of Carlsbad for more than 35 years passed away Friday, May 29, 2009, in Lubbock, Texas. He was predeceased by his parents. Thomas Lee Marek was born April 16, 1941 to John Thomas and Marcita Mae (Bobbie) Marek in Waco, Texas. Tom earned his Bachelor's degree at Baylor University, majoring in History and Economics. In 1959 he moved with his family to Albuquerque. While attending UNM, he met his future wife, Shila Jeanne Craige. They were married on August 31, 1968. He graduated from the University of New Mexico, School of Law in 1968. After Law School, Tom practiced for a few years in Albuquerque with Lorenzo Tapia and Mark Prelo and later with Joe Paone and Jim Vaughan. In late 1972, he moved south to Carlsbad with his beautiful bride and started practicing law with the McCormick and Forbes Law Firm. Tom is survived by his wife, Shila, of the home; his son, Tom Jr. of Dallas, Texas; son, Grant, of Albuquerque; son, John, of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Natalya, of Beaverton, OR; sister, Claire O'Dowd and husband, Gary of Albuquerque; his brother, John Marek and wife, Lillian of San Antonio, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation of the body will be held at West Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at 3 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church. A reception for family and friends will be held in the parish hall at the conclusion of the services. CAMPBELL -- Bonnie Sue Campbell was born October 4, 1939 and passed away May 12, 2009 after a long illness. She is survived by her son David Campbell and friend Sue Kayser; former daughter-in-law Denise Braden; and grandchildren Ian and Mikkaila Campbell; sister Donna Leach and husband Denny: niece Barbara Morris and husband Tom; nephews Thomas Scalf and wife Diane and Rick Scalf and Kate Holmes; and several great-nieces and nephews; and friend Michele Montoya. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

SCHOPPE -- Marilyn A. Schoppe, 76, the Queen of our hearts, the lovable, huggable little mamacita, died Thursday, May 28, 2009. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Malcolm E. Schoppe; children, Tom Tomlinson, Michael Holman, and Malcolm Schoppe, all of Seattle, WA, Jeanne Tomlinson, Renie Ray and husband, Chett, Angie Tomlinson, Tracy Tomlinson, Robert Schoppe, and Karen Schoppe and husband, William Nelson, all of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren, James T. Ray, Catherine A. Ray, Michael L. Holman, Kevin W. Nelson and wife, Eileen, Kimberly M. Nelson, Daniel R. Schoppe, and Julia A. Schoppe; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Savanna, and Ryan; sisters, Margaret Hargrave of Albuquerque and Evelyn Cardinal of Ogdensburg, NY; and numerous other relatives and friends. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mary Sovie; sister, Jeanne Brown; and first husband, Jimmy Tomlinson. She was born on November 10, 1932 in Ogdensburg, NY and graduated from St. Mary's Academy in Ogdensburg. Marilyn moved to Albuquerque in 1958 where she worked for Dr. Denzler for many years. She married Malcolm E. Schoppe in December 30, 1977 and they moved to Seattle where she was proud to be a price analyst in the Civil Service. Among many contracts she was most proud to have negotiated for Air Force One, made by Boeing. After her retirement they moved back to Albuquerque and Chama and enjoyed traveling in their motor home. Marilyn loved to fish, do ceramics, play cards and read. She was a member of Risen Savior Catholic Community. Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Friends may visit Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE on Tuesday, June 2, 2009, 8:30 a.m. until the Rosary at 9:30 am. WITTICH -- Paul A. Wittich passed away on September 5, 2008, at the age of 83 with his daughter Karen and son-in-law Richard at his side. Paul served his country in WWII at the age of 17. He put his many skills to use throughout his hard-working life including his own construction company in Toledo, OH and his own mobile home service company in Albuquerque. He loved family gatherings, dining out and playing the nickel slots. His remains will be interred in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery near Cleveland, OH on June 1, 2009. Karen and Richard Toledo, their sons and daughter-in-law, Zachary Viamontes, Benjamin and Ecko Viamontes, Matthew Viamontes, and Paul's sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Tom Beebe will honor Paul as he is laid to rest.

MILLER -- Irene Hall Miller, 89, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2009 after a short bout with cancer. Irene was born on March 29, 1920 in Red Springs, Wisconsin to Herman and Fancies Hall. She was a woman of strong faith and has left us for a better place. When Irene married Roland Miller and his career with the Civil Service and when he took the opportunity of promotions, Irene would cheerfully pack-up and move their belongings to each new location which after his career included nine different states. Irene was very active in raising her four children, she was a leader in and "flew up" in Brownies, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and baseball leagues where she was often the loudest spectator. Irene loved to play golf and was a league bowler all her life. She competed in the Senior and National Olympics where she earned numerous ribbons. Irene loved to travel especially on cruise ships and visited many ports of entry, her favorite trips were to Alaska and New Zealand. She was a long time member of Christ Lutheran Church and the Haskell Club of New Mexico. Irene enjoyed small stakes gambling, which included handheld poker as well as nickel and quarter slot machines. Family gatherings and social gatherings often led to raucous games of liar's dice, where small wagers were made. Irene will be remembered by her children as always being there when needed, for her sense of humor, and for active life, for love of travel and her complete devotion to her entire family. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her ability to always see the best in others and to mentor her children in love. She leaves behind a strong legacy for her family to enjoy. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Roland, parents Herman and Fancies Hall and brothers Herman, Fritz and Charles Hall. Irene is survived by her children Kay Janisch and husband Tom of Phoenix, Lee Miller and wife Mary, Carol McFall and husband George and Jeff Miller and wife Cindy all of Albuquerque, brother Robert Hall of Shawno, Wisconsin; five grandchildren Cari and Chad Payne, Jenifer Metz, Zoe Enright and April Serrano; eight great-grandchildren Mathew McClung, Samantha and Jamie Payne, Ryder Metz, Ava Enright and Daniel, Devin and Dorothy Serrano with one more girl on the way, plus many nieces and nephews. Visitations will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2009 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at Daniels Family Funeral Services Carlisle Chapel, with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 am also in the Chapel. Interment will be held on Monday, June 1, 2009 at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00pm. Pallbearers will be Jeff Miller, George McFall, Brett Metz, Rex Enright, Kevin Rolfe, and Dan Serrano. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tom Janisch, Chad Payne and Mathew McClung. The family has established a Cancer Foundation to assist daughter Kay Janisch with costs associated with the cancer treatment she is receiving. CRAWLEY -- Florence Madeline Crawley went to be with the Lord on Saturday May 9, 2009. Florence Casaccia was born in Glen Lyon, PA, a small coal mining town near Scranton, PA, the last of eight children. She graduated from King County Nurses College in 1938 and joined the Navy, serving as an officer during WWII where she met and married Thomas V. Crawley, Jr. of Lamesa, TX. Thomas and Florence moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1951 where they lived for more than 50 years and raised three boys, Thomas IV, Joseph Michael and Jerald M. Florence worked as a registered nurse for Albuquerque Surgical Group for 30 years before retiring in 1992. She and Tom celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary shortly before Tom died in 1999. She relocated to Flagstaff, AZ in 2005 to live near her son Jerald. She is survived by Jerald M. and his wife, Leslie, three grandchildren, Thomas V., Sharon, and Diane and three great-grandchildren. The family is planning a celebration of her life in Albuquerque in the near future. RUTLEDGE -- Therese Meyer Rutledge, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2009. Therese was born March 3, 1932 the daughter of Jesse and Carmen Meyer in Albuquerque. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School, graduating in the class of 1951. Therese went on to get her degree in nursing from Hotel Dieu in El Paso, TX. She spent 34 years of nursing at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque. Therese was a very resourceful person, and nursing and caring for people was her passion. She is survived by her three children, Carmen Nourse, John Brian Rutledge of Albuquerque, and Ann Marie Rutledge and fiance Tom Swisstack of Rio Rancho; five grandchildren, Ruben John Garcia of Austin, TX, Katrina Celest Trout of Rio Rancho, Miranda, Brianna, and Audrey Bella Rutledge of Albuquerque; brother, Jesse Meyer of Albuquerque; sister, Ann Marie Adams and husband Len of Phoenix, AZ; nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. We all love you mother. It's time for you to go with the Lord.
