CRAWLEY -- Florence Madeline Crawley went to be with the Lord on Saturday May 9, 2009. Florence Casaccia was born in Glen Lyon, PA, a small coal mining town near Scranton, PA, the last of eight children. She graduated from King County Nurses College in 1938 and joined the Navy, serving as an officer during WWII where she met and married Thomas V. Crawley, Jr. of Lamesa, TX. Thomas and Florence moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1951 where they lived for more than 50 years and raised three boys, Thomas IV, Joseph Michael and Jerald M. Florence worked as a registered nurse for Albuquerque Surgical Group for 30 years before retiring in 1992. She and Tom celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary shortly before Tom died in 1999. She relocated to Flagstaff, AZ in 2005 to live near her son Jerald. She is survived by Jerald M. and his wife, Leslie, three grandchildren, Thomas V., Sharon, and Diane and three great-grandchildren. The family is planning a celebration of her life in Albuquerque in the near future.
