SCHOPPE -- Marilyn A. Schoppe, 76, the Queen of our hearts, the lovable, huggable little mamacita, died Thursday, May 28, 2009. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Malcolm E. Schoppe; children, Tom Tomlinson, Michael Holman, and Malcolm Schoppe, all of Seattle, WA, Jeanne Tomlinson, Renie Ray and husband, Chett, Angie Tomlinson, Tracy Tomlinson, Robert Schoppe, and Karen Schoppe and husband, William Nelson, all of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren, James T. Ray, Catherine A. Ray, Michael L. Holman, Kevin W. Nelson and wife, Eileen, Kimberly M. Nelson, Daniel R. Schoppe, and Julia A. Schoppe; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Savanna, and Ryan; sisters, Margaret Hargrave of Albuquerque and Evelyn Cardinal of Ogdensburg, NY; and numerous other relatives and friends. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mary Sovie; sister, Jeanne Brown; and first husband, Jimmy Tomlinson. She was born on November 10, 1932 in Ogdensburg, NY and graduated from St. Mary's Academy in Ogdensburg. Marilyn moved to Albuquerque in 1958 where she worked for Dr. Denzler for many years. She married Malcolm E. Schoppe in December 30, 1977 and they moved to Seattle where she was proud to be a price analyst in the Civil Service. Among many contracts she was most proud to have negotiated for Air Force One, made by Boeing. After her retirement they moved back to Albuquerque and Chama and enjoyed traveling in their motor home. Marilyn loved to fish, do ceramics, play cards and read. She was a member of Risen Savior Catholic Community. Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Friends may visit Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE on Tuesday, June 2, 2009, 8:30 a.m. until the Rosary at 9:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Kevin Nelson, James Ray, Wayne Hargrave, Paul Hargrave, Jack Owens, Rand Rensvold and Mark Thompkins.
