BOMBER -- Margaret Isabella Bomber passed away peacefully on June 2, 2009. Margaret was born on March 22, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan to James and Annie Taylor. Margaret married Thomas Bomber on June 21, 1962. They had three children Cheryl Agosto of Mesa, Arizona, Mark Bomber of Denver, Colorado and Karen Bomber of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Margaret is survived by; her husband, three children, brothers Colin and John Taylor, a sister Barbra Taylor and four grandchildren Christina, Michael, Angela Agosto and Kayle Bomber. Margaret Graduated from high school in Detroit and worked as a certified dental assistant until she married. Her husband Tom was an Air Force officer and they were an Air Force family for 20 years. Margaret made every new location a loving and nurturing home environment for her family. After retirement the family settled in Albuquerque. Margaret saw her children grow up, graduate from college and go on to successful careers and happy lives. She is truly missed by her family having been taken from them so young. There will be a viewing for family and friends to pay their respects at Daniels Family Funeral Services on Wyoming from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday June 4, 2009. BROWN -- Horace J. Brown, 90. A lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on June 1, 2009. He is survived by his sons Robert Keith of Folsom, California, Kenneth of Auburn, California; granddaughters Sara and Theresa, and daughter Carol Rae Otto of Montrose, Colorado. Mr. Brown spent five years in the Air Force and retired from Sandia National Laboratories after 28 years. Cremation has taken place. No Services are planned. Interment will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family would especially like to thank the staff of The Woodmark at Uptown for their tender loving care.

CHAVEZ -- Mary A. Chavez, 73, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on May 31, 2009. Mrs. Chavez is survived by her husband, Salbador Munoz; her children, Theresa Chavez, Frank Chavez Jr. and wife Lori, Bonnie Finkley and husband, Keith, and Gene Chavez Sr. and wife, Ruby; her sisters, Lupe Nejmeh and husband, George, Castula Angel and husband, Mino, and Chavela Montez; brothers, Domingo Arellin and wife, Eloisa and Julian Arellin and wife, Jane; nine grandchildren, Andrea, Gino, Cisco, Johnny, Lisa, Anthony, Carlos, Angela, and Isaiah; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. CURB -- Carroll Clyde Curb, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died June 1, 2009. Mr. Curb was born July 9, 1926 in Ft Worth, TX. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Doris, daughters, Carla Diane Hall and husband, Rodney, Judith Ann Wagoner and husband, Matthew and Peggy Nail and family. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Christine Wagoner, brothers, Reilly Curb and wife, Laura and Bill Hunter and wife, Patty. Mr. Curb served his country in the United States Navy during WW II, specifically in the Philippines. He graduated from the University of New Mexico with degrees in Math and Science and taught Math for 25 years in the Albuquerque Public Schools. Carroll was a member of First Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors, gardening, especially flowers and he was an exceptional photographer of wild flowers. Cremation will take place at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory and at his request there will be no memorial service. FOX -- Eric T. Fox, a loving husband, father and grandfather entered into a peaceful state on Friday, May 29, 2009 at his home while surrounded by family. He was born in Rolla, Missouri on September 6, 1944 and in 1950 returned to Albuquerque with his family. Eric graduated from Albuquerque High School and went onto UNM to complete a BS in Mathematics in 1966. Eric's mathematical interests led him to become a senior computer programmer for Honeywell FM&T, NM where he had a distinguished career spanning 37 years. His kind and gentle manner attracted the love of all who met him, especially children and animals. Eric's keen intellect created a love of problem solving- always seeking solutions to puzzles whether jigsaw or the conundrums of life. His playful nature was especially evident around his grandchildren. He thought therefore he was. He is survived by his loving wife, Catie; son Craig; daughters Carla and spouse Steve and Chelsea and spouse Scot; grandchildren Stephanie, Katie, Bailey, Kenzie and Madison; sisters Gretchen and Terri. GLASS -- JOHN STRIDER GLASS John died on May 30, 2009 at his home in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 29, 1924 to David W. Glass and Florence W. Hess. John grew up in Baltimore, where he graduated in 1949 with a Bachelor of Engineering from John Hopkins University. His education was interrupted by one year's service in the Army in 1945-46. John moved to Albuquerque in 1950 where he worked for the City of Albuquerque as an engineer and then for the Sandia Air Force Base as a personnel specialist. In 1951, he met Margaret Helen Ewing of Salem, Oregon who was also working at the Base. A year later they married. Their only child, Nancy L. Glass was born in 1954. Margaret, the love of his life, died on August 22, 1956. John never remarried. In 1955 he began his career in hospital administration, taking a managerial position with Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque. In 1957-58, he attended the University of Minnesota, where he earned his Master of Hospital Administration. He served as assistant administrator at Presbyterian Hospital until 1962. From 1962 until 1968, John was administrator of the Carrie Tingley Hospital for Crippled Children in Truth or Consequences. In 1968 in Santa Fe, he created the Northern New Mexico Comprehensive Health Planning Council (NORCHAP), which he directed until 1976. After a brief time as a private health care consultant, John became vice president at Presbyterian Medical Services in 1977. He retired in 1990. John is survived by his daughter, Nancy who resides in Salem, Oregon with Neil McKay; cousins Robert Hess of Fairfax, VA and Joseph Hess of Tiburon, CA; brother-in-law, Robert Ewing of Brentwood, TN; nephew, Fredric Ewing, and his wife, Vanessa Ewing, also of Brentwood, TN and their children Kimberly Ewing Owen and Michael Ewing; niece, Janet Ewing of Brentwood, TN; and Ralph, his faithful ole dog. John was pre-deceased by his brother, David Glass and his sister-in-law, Martha Glass, formerly of Fairfax, VA. John had many interests, which included golf, photography, birding, jazz, travel, and reading. He was a devout Christian and was very active in St. Bede's Episcopal Church. The family thanks all those who provided wonderful, loving care for John, including Evelyn Chavez, Laura Hiserote, Carol Powers, Rachel Whitney and the staff at Presbyterian Medical Services Hospice, and the members of St. Bede's Episcopal Church. A Wake will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Bede's Episcopal Church which is located at the southeast corner of W. San Mateo Road and St. Francis Drive in Santa Fe. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2009 at St. Bede's Episcopal Church (same address) with a Graveside Service to follow at 2:30 p.m., at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery, 700 Yale Blvd, SE in Albuquerque. LEE -- Jean Bell Merritt Lee passed away peacefully on June 1, 2009. She was born December 18, 1917 in San Diego, California to Dwight Day Bell and Lucy Clark Bell. She attended The Francis Parker School in San Diego and The Bishop's School in La Jolla, California. She graduated from Stanford University in 1939. She was elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In 1942 she married Robert Howard Merritt also of San Diego, California. They lived in Houston until his death in 1975. In 1980, Jean married her Stanford classmate H. B. Lee. They moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where they lived for 25 years until returning to Houston in 2006. Family and friends were her special loves. Her love of life will be missed by all who knew her. She also appreciated her time with the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and the Junior League in San Diego, Houston and Albuquerque. She is survived by her husband, H. B. Lee; her daughter Jean Merritt Johnston and husband, Fred Lee Johnston, III of Houston; her son Robert Howard Merritt, Jr. and his wife Peggy of Raleigh, North Carolina; granddaughter Catherine Tift Merritt and husband Zeke Hutchins of New York City; and grandson George Mero Merritt and wife Elizabeth of Denver, Colorado. She was predeceased by her sister Lucy Day Bell Grace; and her nephew, James Willard Grace, Jr. The family would like to thank Maria Lusia Zapata, the Hallmark staff and their caregivers who gave extraordinary care during her final days. A Memorial Service will be held at the Hallmark on Friday, June 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m., and a Family Graveside Service is planned at a later date. LUCERO -- Fidel M. Lucero, age 69, passed away peacefully, Monday, June 1, 2009, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 29, 1939. Fidel retired from the City of Albuquerque after 28 years of service. He will be remembered for his passion about the outdoors. Fidel had a love for fishing and hunting. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and compassion to each person who had the privilege of knowing him. Fidel will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Felipe and is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 49 years, Janet P. MAEZ -- Sadie G. Maez, 85, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, was received by our Lord and placed into His Kingdom on Sunday, May 31, 2009. She is survived by her two sons and their families, Gary Sanchez and Ella Sandoval and Larry Maez and his wife, Susie Maez; five special grandchildren, Orlando, Christopher and Samantha Sanchez, Larry Daniel Maez and Mikayla Sandoval; her beloved sister, Martha Vasquez; and many loving nieces, nephews and close family friends. Sadie retired from the State of New Mexico, where she supervised, instructed, and mentored many special co-workers. Sadie was a strong woman, yet never put herself above anyone. MATHISON -- Charles Glenn "Moose" Mathison, 90, resident of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2009. He is survived by his daughters, Constance M. Henslee, and Carla Mathison; grandchildren, Anthony C. Henslee and wife, Gina, Brian Mathison and wife, Cassandra, Torrie Smith and husband, Brian; great-grandchildren, Brian Charles Henslee, Jared Anthony Henslee, Finnegan Jacob McCain, Oliver Owen Mathison; beloved nieces, Margot Alexander and husband, Judson, Barbara Taylor and husband, John, and Linda Bancroft and husband, Joe; beloved nephew, Larry Garrett and wife, Shari; and extended family, Michael and Margaret Creedon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy to whom he had been married for 68 years; sisters, Enid Mathison and Leora Laskey; and brother, Hendrix Mathison. He served with the US Marine Corp, Navy, Army and Air Force. In the Air Force, Charles was a test pilot, worked with satellite and missile research and development. He closed out his career as Base Commander at Kirtland AFB. Charles retired from the US Air Force in 1973. He was a member of the DAV, TROA and American Legion. From fighting forest fires in Montana to recovering satellite capsules from the sea, Charles was a devoted servant to his country. MORA -- ANGELITA MORA, "LALA," 91, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, went home peacefully in her sleep on May 28, 2009. At the time of her passing she was "Lala" to FIVE generations. She was born November 11, 1917 in Albuquerque, New Mexico daughter to the late Bartolita and Nicolas Alderete. She was one of four children, and a loving wife to the late Federico Mora. Survived by her only daughter Annie Gutierrez; four grandchildren Jose, Marie, Teresa, Eva and the late Robert "Gordy"; ten great-grandchildren Angela, Shayna, Bobby, Salomon, Angel, Leroy, Lorenzo, RJ, Adrianna, and Nicco; 5 GREAT-GREAT-grandchildren, Ernest Jr., Rickey, Kenny Jr., Esseney, and Elias. NIXON -- Amy Nixon, 42, resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2009. She is survived by her mother; five sisters; two nephews; one niece; two brothers-in-law and her beloved cat, Clarisse. There are many friends who will miss her as well. She was preceded in death by her father. Amy was born at Sandia Base, NM to Lt. Colonel Robert and Alice Nixon. She graduated from Albuquerque High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of New Mexico. She served as a photo journalist in the United States Army Reserve, 156th Support Group from 1984 to 1993. Amy worked as a team leader/mental health advocate. Amy touched many people's lives as she had friends from all walks of life. She was optimistic, sympathetic and she had a great sense of humor. PADILLA -- Casimiro (Casey) M. Padilla Jr., 81, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on June 1, 2009. Mr. Padilla is survived by his partner in life, Dulcy Padilla; his seven children, Annabelle Montoya and husband, Frank, Fermin Padilla and wife, Maya, Patricia Padilla, Annette Padilla and Terry, Harry Padilla, Michael Padilla and Diana, and Sonya Lopez and husband, Alfredo; his sister, Lila Sanchez; brother, Joe Montano and wife, Kathy; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. ROSS -- GERALD HENRY ROSS 9/9/35 - 6/3/08 THOUGH YOU ARE GONE FOREVER, WE STILL HAVE MANY MEMORIES OF THE ONE WE LOVED SO MUCH. TENNYSON -- Harold Tennyson, 83, passed away on June 1, 2009. Mr. Tennyson was born on January 29, 1926 to Charles E. and Nancy (McPherson) Tennyson of Denoya, OK. He served in the U.S. Armed Forces before moving to Albuquerque in 1961 and was an insurance adjustor prior to his retirement. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years; Marge (Delph) Tennyson, daughters, Trena B. Woods, and her husband James of Albuquerque, NM, and Jack A. Tennyson and his wife Patsy, of Los Lunas, NM; grandchildren Jimmy Hinson, Trish Hinson and Amber Tennyson; four great-grandchildren; and a sister Virginia Jaramillo. VIGIL -- Aiden Joshua Saxton Vigil, infant, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2009. Aiden was born February 7, 2009 in Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his paternal great grandfather, Benny Herrea; and maternal great grandparents, Donald and Virginia MacWillie . Aiden is survived by his father, Joshua Vigil of Albuquerque and his mother, Alexis George of Albuquerque; aunts, Ashton Ashe and husband John of Albuquerque, NM and Arian George of Rio Rancho, NM; maternal grandmother, Nanci George of Albuquerque, NM; paternal grandmother, Patricia Vigil of Rio Rancho, NM; paternal great-grandmother, Albina Herrea of Albuquerque, NM; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and other family members.
