ALEXANDER -- James Knox Alexander II, 86, long-time resident of Albuquerque and Santa Fe, went home to be with the Lord on July 24, 2010. The family is grateful for the excellent care Mr. Alexander received at Raymond G. Murphy Veterans Medical Center in Albuquerque. Mr. Alexander was born November 11, 1923, in Paris, Texas, to James Knox Alexander I and his wife, Edith Colvard Alexander. At age 17, he enlisted in the Navy to defend his country during World War II. In addition, he served during the war in Korea and the Cold War. He was a charter and lifetime member of the National World War II Memorial in Washington D.C. His family is proud of the many commendations he received from the Navy. Mr. Alexander married Catherine May Rushford on March 25, 1946. They had two children, Evelyn Alexander and James Knox Alexander III. Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Ross Goodman Alexander; and sister-in law Marian Watkins Alexander Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife, Catherine; his son James Knox Alexander III; his daughter-in-law Diane Alexander; and his daughter, Evelyn Alexander. He also is survived by grandchildren, Wendy Sultzman and her husband Kurt Sultzman, Jennifer Williams and her husband James Williams, Paul Kennerly and his wife, Rebecca Kennerly, Daniel Kennerly, James Knox Alexander IV, and Joshua Alexander; In addition, he is survived by great-grandchildren Kelsey, Eric and Dominic Sultzman, Katharine, Matthew, Brennan and Benjamin Williams, and Alexis and Anya Kennerly; He also is survived by niece Laura Alexander Taylor and her husband Alan Taylor; and niece Vicki Alexander Gaudet and her husband Michael Gaudet. A celebration of Mr. Alexander's life will be held Saturday, July 31, 2010, 11:00 a.m., at Calvary of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna Rd. NE, Albuquerque. Internment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery, date and time to be announced.

C DE BACA -- Shirley Ann Chavez C De Baca, 63, a resident of Bernalillo, was called to heaven on July 23, 2010 at 4:45 p.m. with her family and friends by her side at Presbyterian Hospital. The daughter of the late Benny G. and Mary Chavez, Shirley was born on December 30, 1946 in Albuquerque. She was a graduate of Albuquerque high school in 1965, where she was a majorette. Shirley was a very active member in her community and strong supporter of St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis TN, the Make a Wish Foundation, as well as the Muscular Dystrophy Association. She also held the position of, New Mexico State President of the National Association of Letter Carrier Auxiliary for the past fifteen years, and the treasurer for the Albuquerque local NALCA for the past ten years. She has also been an active member of the NALCA for the past thirty years. She was a loving and devoted grandmother, mother and wife to her family, as well as a faithful friend. Anyone who has ever met her would know what a wonderful women she is. Shirley was preceded to heaven by her son Daniel R. C De Baca, JR. She is survived by her husband Mr. Daniel R. C De Baca; daughters, Miss Julia Ana C De Baca and her partner Ron Rael, Miss Angelica C De Baca and her fiancee Gary English; grandsons, Daniel and Diego Sedillo; sister Julie Chavez; and mother-in-law Mrs. Anita C De Baca; and late husband Raymond C De Baca. Her Pallbearers will be Patricio Chavez, David Lee Chavez, Ken Mark Chavez, Gregory Torres, Gary Chavez, and Ron John Soto. CATON -- Oran T. Caton died Friday, July 23 at age 93. He was born on August 24, 1916 in a half-dugout near Plain, NM in Quay County. He was the youngest of nine children born to homesteaders Nimrod Lemuel Caton and Consuela Gilmore Caton, all of whom predeceased him. In 1979, he was preceded in death by Mary Virginia "Ginger" Miller Caton, his wife of 41 years. He is survived by his daughter Sharon Caton Wright, and her husband Sheldon; grandson Derek and wife Michelle; grandson Brennan and wife Marie; and great-grandchildren Cameron, Sydnee, Morighan, Alexandra and Samantha. He was the last family member of his generation to pass away and is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. Oran graduated from Forrest High School and was a member of the legendary 1933 NM state championship basketball team. Oran received a BA and MA from New Mexico Highlands University, where he was a basketball letterman. Oran coached and taught in Cliff, NM from 1938-1941 and worked for the US Forest Service in the Gila Wilderness during the summers. From 1942-1945, he was an Experimental Planner at Douglas Aircraft in California. He returned to New Mexico and coached at Santa Rosa High School from 1945-1947. From there, he was recruited for a coaching position with Albuquerque Public Schools. He was the first principal at Sandia Base Elementary and served as principal of Monte Vista Elementary for 22 years. He was also an assistant principal at Bel Air, Hodgin, Carlos Rey and Rio Rancho elementary schools. He was a past president of the New Mexico Schools Master Club and was active in numerous other educational organizations over his 40 year career. He retired from APS in 1980 after 33 years of service. Oran was an avid sports fan. For decades, he never missed a Lobo football or basketball game, the state high school basketball tournament or the state track meet. He loved following his nephews, nieces, and grandsons who were involved in high school and college athletics. He was a member of Albuquerque Masonic Lodge #60 and Trinity United Methodist Church. After retiring from APS, he worked as a real estate agent and moved to Bosque Farms where he lived for over 25 years. In 2008, he returned to Albuquerque where he resided until his death. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are encouraged to consider an organization of their choice that supports and encourages children. DAILY -- Paul J. Daily, 81, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, July 23, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jean Dammarell Daily; sons, Mark and wife Catherine of Hagerman, ID and Michael James and wife Leslie of Thousand Oaks, CA; grandchildren, Logan, Brian, Ashley, Daniel, Katlyn, Teresa, and Sean; and brother, Richard Daily of Lewiston, ID. Paul was born in Winchester, ID to Ted and Annabelle Daily. He retired from the US Air Force as a Colonel, after a distinguished career as a Research Scientist and pilot. After retiring in 1978, Paul taught Laser Electro-Optics at Albuquerque TVI. He was a member of the Open Space of Albuquerque volunteers for 15 years, receiving the Albuquerque Volunteer of the Year Award. EMPLEO -- Purificacion "Puring" Empleo, 97, loving mother, grandmother, great - grandmother, and friend, passed away at her home on Monday, July 26, 2010. She is survived by her daughter, Marianita Alonzo; daughter - in - law, Remedios Jayme; and many, many grandchildren thru great - great - great - grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, in 1978 and her son Maximo in 2008. Puring relocated to New Mexico from San Francisco in 1980 to be close to her daughter. Because of her life - long dedication to her family, she traveled between New Mexico and the Bay Area over the years to spend time with her entire family. FERNANDEZ -- Theresa Fernandez, age 69, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, passed away peacefully, Monday, July 26, 2010, while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Springer, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque. Theresa loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them especially with her precious grandchildren. She also enjoyed working on her garden, painting ceramic figurines, camping and traveling. She was preceded in death by her father, Ike Trujillo. Theresa is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Carlos Fernandez; her daughters, Anita Fernandez of Albuquerque, and Debbie Dayringer and husband Jim of Sacramento, CA; her grandchildren, Robert, Emily and Eric Dayringer also of Sacramento, CA. Also surviving are her loving mother, Carlota Trujillo of Springer, NM; her brothers, Julio Trujillo and wife Dixie of Raton, NM, Adolfo Trujillo and wife Anita of Albuquerque; sisters, Elsie Ortiz and husband Richard of Springer, NM, June Crespin and husband Phil of Farmington, NM; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. HARRIS -- Anna S. Harris, a 53 year resident of Albuquerque, died of natural causes, on July 24, 2010. A descendant of Ukrainian parents, she was born June 27, 1916. Anna was raised in Baltimore, MD, and came to Albuquerque in 1957, when her first husband was stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base. In her 60's, she returned to college and achieved a degree in education and taught elementary school for nearly ten years. She enjoyed gardening, music, collecting many things, visiting casinos and dining out. She is preceeded in death by her first husband, Herman Spencer and second husband, Jerome Harris. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Gardner; son, Ronald Spencer; grandchildren, Kathy Truong and her husband, Thuy, Thomas Gardner and his wife Christina; Chad Spencer, Jason Spencer, and Joshua Spencer; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Jack and Ellison Truong, Olivia and Gherig Gardner, Matthew, Ashton and Cheyenne Spencer; sister, Fritz Kitz; brothers, Michael and Bill Shenk; and longtime companion, Mike Baca. KELLY -- Anne J. Kelly died peacefully at her home Monday, July 5, after a short illness. She was born June 8, 1922 in Allentown, PA. She first came to Albuquerque in 1942 when her husband was stationed at the Army Air Corp base that later became Kirtland AFB. They returned in 1949 and she lived here the rest of her life. In the 60s, she graduated from UNM with honors, then taught English, French and the Bible as Literature at Highland High School until she retired in the mid eighties. Never one to be idle, she volunteered to teach French at a Catholic preschool, began taking painting lessons and spent even more time in her garden. Anne loved flowers, especially roses and once grew the roses she painted. Later she took communion to the sick and housebound when she wasn't traveling in foreign countries with her husband, Christopher T. Kelly. She was an active and beloved member of the Newman Center at UNM, involved in marriage enrichment and Catholic faith sharing groups and on August 27, 2000 she took her vows as a Lay Dominican. Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher T. Kelly; and her brother and sister-in-law, Herbert and Barbara Johnston. She is survived by her two daughters, Sheila Cooper of Alcalde, NM and Michele Connelly of Gila Hot Springs, NM; and her nieces and nephew. Many, many people will miss her warm loving smile. A memorial rosary will be recited Friday, July 30 at 10:00 a.m., at Aquinas Newman Center followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. also at the Aquinas Newman Center, 1815 Las Lomas NE. KNICKERBOCKER -- Elizabeth "Betty" Knickerbocker, 85, formerly of Peekskill, NY and a longtime Albuquerque, New Mexico resident, passed away July 14, 2010. She was born on May 4, 1925 in Peekskill, daughter of the late George B. and Elizabeth Knickerbocker. She was a 22-year veteran of the United States Air Force, serving as a flight nurse. Nikki entered the USAF in 1951 and retired 1973, as Lt. Colonel. She was part of many assignments around the world as a flight nurse, going to Alaska, Texas, then stationed at Scott AFB in Illinois. She did a TDY mission to Vietnam as a flight nurse. She received numerous commendation medals and AMD area ribbons. When she retired in Albuquerque in 1973, a big part of her life was golf. She was the Albuquerque City golf champion in 1997, the NM State senior golf champion twice; she played and was champion seven times at the course in Kirtland AFB, New Mexico. Nikki never stopped being a nurse at heart; stepping in to help her many friends in their time of need and volunteer work with numerous organizations. Betty is survived by her brother Richard Knickerbocker; sister Kay Lynch; sisters-in-law: Mary and Idola Knickerbocker; brother-in-law William Shirin; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. She was predeceased by her five brothers; and three sisters: George "Botsy", Edwin, William Knickerbocker, Christopher and Walter McGrath, her twin: Georgett Gaydos, Mae Shirin, Dorothy Knickerbocker. The family received friends on Friday, July 16, 2010 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home, Peekskill, where a celebration of her life was held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 17, 2010. Interment will be private at the convenience of her family. The family requests any donations be sent in Nikki's name to Hospice Association of Rensselaer County NY or the Alzheimer's Association.

KOEBERLE -- Theodore (Ted) P. Koeberle passed away July 23, 2010. He was born July 7, 1932 in Tucumcari, NM. He was a resident of Cedar Crest, NM since 1991. Over the course of his lifetime he enjoyed success in multiple career fields and unselfishly gave of himself for the betterment of his family and his community. He was in the First Marine division during the Korean War. He attended the University of Colorado earning a degree in 1958. He was an engineer for the US Department of the Interior, residing in Alaska, Washington DC, Arizona, and Colorado. In 1966 he earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver. He practiced law in Colorado until he retired to New Mexico in 1991. In New Mexico, he was an Arbitrator Mediator. Ted was a member of several organizations. For over 50 years he was a Girl Scout, providing training for leaders and serving on the Board of Directors. He was a member of the Ghost Ranch Foundation and an Elder of the Presbyterian Church. Ted Koeberle is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jan Koeberle; and two daughters. Kris Koeberle and her husband Sandy Arthur of Port Orchard, WA, Karena Wells and her husband Dan Wells of Papillion, NE; grandchildren are: Ted Arthur of Washington, DC, Athena Wahlstrom and husband Dan of Port Orchard, WA, Sydney and Robyn Wells of Papillion, NE. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church, 1801 Montano RD NW. Ashes to be scattered by family and friends at a later date. LLOYD -- Cecilia D. Lloyd "Cissy" born in Corrales, NM to Alejandro and Teofila Gonzales on April 29, 1927, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 in Albuquerque, NM. Prior to living in Albuquerque, she was a longtime resident of Reserve, NM. Cissy was the last remaining member of the Alejandro Gonzales family of Corrales, NM. She enjoyed cooking. Cissy was friendly, outgoing, and always had a smile, and she enjoyed meeting new people. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Lloyd on June 19, 2006; and sister, Esther Martinez. Cissy is survived by her step-sons, Stephen Lynn Lloyd and family, and Dudley Eugene Lloyd, and family; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 2532 Vermont NE., off of Menaul Blvd, just west of Wyoming NE. on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. She will be interred with her husband, Richard, in Reserve, NM at a later date. METOYER -- Anthony (Tony) Metoyer, Sr. at the tender and wise age of 84 years old, joyfully awakened in the presence of his Lord on Thursday, July 23, 2010 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Tony Sr. was born to Ernest and Emily (Sarpy) Metoyer on February 24, 1926 in Derry, Louisiana. He honorably served his country in the U. S. Navy during World War II, and then returned to Louisiana to marry his life-long love, Marie C. Chevalier of Alexandria, LA, whom he faithfully loved and cherished for more than 60 years. Tony was a long-time and loyal member of St. Therese of the Little Flower Catholic Church where he proudly served as a Lector and Usher. He re-located his family to Albuquerque in 1957 for better employment opportunities but was best known as the kind, whistle-blowing, finger shaking, gentle giant, "Crossing Guard" in the North Valley area for many years. Tony Sr. will be endlessly missed by his devoted wife, Marie and their eight children, Greg Metoyer and his wife Fran, Marsha Metoyer, Emily Stock and her husband Stewart, Tony Metoyer, Jr. and his wife Stephanie, Paula Metoyer, Marty Metoyer (deceased), Kevin Metoyer and his wife Diane, Lynne Martin and her husband Brian, 23 grandchildren, more than 20 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, kind neighbors, and countless friends. Tony was a loyal and simple man of steadfast integrity, brutal honesty, and unwavering love who took great pleasure in his ever-growing family, his faith, his country, the North Valley, and his sports. MONTOYA -- Edras Montoya, age 93, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, July 24, 2010. Edras is survived by is wife of 64 years, Elena Montoya; sons, Carlos, and wife, Grace; Frank and wife, Jean; daughters, Angie Dawson and husband, Bill; Lydia Cote and husband, Raymond; Eileen Henz and husband Jim; grandchildren, Rachel Greene and husband, Colt; Christine Montoya, Jacob Montoya, Andy Montoya, Melissa Cote, Janelle Cote, Lucas Baca, and James Henz; great-grandchild, Emery Greene; brothers and sisters, Prospero Montoya, Perfecto Montoya, Isabel Bernal, Elias Montoya and Ofelia Ramos. He was preceded in death by parents, Polidoro and Barbarita Montoya; sister, Manuelita Montoya and brothers, Eloy Montoya and Jose Montoya. Edras was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and son. Although he resided in Albuquerque, he was born and grew up in Monticello, NM. He retired from Kirtland Air Force Base after 29 years and was a faithful and active parishioner at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church for over sixty years. As a member of the 200th Coast Artillery, he survived the Bataan Death March, was awarded a Bronze Star, three Purple Hearts and numerous other unit medals. His life experiences are documented in "Four Trails to Valor" (D. Cave). He was a dedicated family man and an avid gardener. Our family would like to thank the caretakers throughout his life, VA Hospital, nurses, doctors, home health aides, and SolAmor Hospice. MORA -- Benjamin (Bengie) Jerry Mora, Sr., age 55, passed away Monday, July 26, 2010 at home surrounded by family. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He is now reunited with his son, Benjamin Jr.; Mother, Mary; and brothers, Victor, Joe, Gene and Anthony. He was greatly loved and will be truly missed. PALLADINO -- Rachel (Kirby) Palladino, 79, a resident of Albuquerque for 63 years, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 25, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, John; and her son, Tommy. She is survived by her daughters, Virginia Kozlowski, Amy Palladino and Jean Garcia and husband Chris; granddaughters, Jessica Brunacini and Amanda Kozlowski; grandsons Chris Garcia, Jr. and Joshua Garcia. QUINN -- Charles (Chuck) Quinn, 82, of Albuquerque died on July 22, 2010. He was born in Trenton, New Jersey, on April 23, 1928. After graduating from Dickinson College, he joined the Marine Corps and served in the Korean War, followed by a career at the Department of Energy in Albuquerque. He is survived by his wife, Therese (Terry); son, Michael; daughter, Bridget; son-in-law, Stuart Cataldo; grandchildren, Justin, Aedan, and Catherine Cataldo; sister, Barbara Marciante; He is also survived and loved by stepchildren, Anne Rubin (Jeff), Christine Kamm (Andrew), and David Billing and their children Josh Kamm, Nate Kamm, Alex Rubin and Zach Rubin and many loving nephews and nieces. An avid life-long tennis player, he treasured his regular matches and friendships at the Albuquerque Tennis Club. Other passions included contact with his beloved grandchildren, reading and his daily walk with his dogs. RIVERA -- Marc Rivera, age 41, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2010. He was a kind, loving, sunny and humorous soul. He had a wonderful little giggle that endeared him to everyone around him. When he hugged you, you knew that he really meant it. He missed his father, Robert, who preceded him recently in death, along with his beloved Naney. Christopher was born on May 9, 1996 to Pam Martinez Sanchez and Ronnie Sanchez of Albuquerque, NM. He was preceded in death by his "Uncle Ray," Ramon Garcia. SANCHEZ -- Donald Ray Sanchez Sr. September 22, 1961 a child is born and struggles with life. Through the love of his family one year later he is able to leave the hospital and join them. With that love and strong family support he went on to honorably serve his country and his city. Father of three, Donald Jr., Steven, and Ashley, grandfather of two, Lilian and Isabella. SANTANGELO -- Vincenza "Zina" Santangelo, 78, went home to be with her Lord on July 25, 2010. She was born on August 21, 1931 in Sicily, Italy to parents Luciano and Giovanna Marchese. She immigrated to New York with her family at the age of 17. She moved to Albuquerque with her husband and children in 1971. She is survived by the love of her life for 56 years, Vito; children, Gina Seeley and husband Fred, Greg Santangelo and wife Reina, and Joann Santangelo; grandchildren, Cristopher and wife Amy, Jessica, Melissa, Melanie, Benjamin and Kenneth; great-grandson Noah; her sister Rose and husband Jack, and brothers, Diego, Joseph and Charlie; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister Maria; and brother Pat. She was an amazing seamstress, a wonderful cook and worked hard for her family her entire life. She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she will be greatly missed by all. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the rosary. SIEGLER -- Milton H. Siegler, 85, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ruth L. Siegler; step-children, Carl Shearer and wife, Sheila, and Joanne Pagni and husband, Frank; two step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Boswell of St. Louis; several nieces and nephews; and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Emma Siegler; and half-brother, Theodore Burger. Milton was born in St. Louis and attended school there. He then entered the U.S. Navy during WWII and served for eight years. Milton worked in various machine shops in St. Louis. In 1958, he came to Albuquerque to work for ACF, and in 1967 he went to work for General Electric until his retirement in 1985. He was a member of the International Aerospace Machinists. Milton resided in Albuquerque until 2007, when he and Ruth moved to Rio Rancho. Memorial services will be held Friday, July 30, 2010, at 2:00 p.m., at Fairwinds Retirement Homes, 920 Riverview Drive SE, Rio Rancho, NM. WEBB -- Gladys Webb, 90, of Georgia and Florida most of her life, died peacefully Monday, July 26, 2010 in Albuquerque, NM. She is survived by her two children, MaryAnn Hathaway and husband, Bob, of Albuquerque, NM and Andrew "Andy" Lupo Webb and wife, Gretchen, of St. Augustine, FL; five grandchildren, Angela Coddington and husband, Jeff of Goldsboro, NC, Mary Dahlberg and husband, Jeff of Brooklyn Park, MN, Karen Hamilton of Albuquerque, NM, Andrew Lupo Webb, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL, and Christina Webb Williams and husband, Brett of Nashville, TN; seven great-grandchildren, Krista Coddington, Preston Coddington, Tyler Dahlberg, Bobby Hamilton, Connor Dahlberg, Rhiannon Hamilton, and Benjamin Andrew Williams; her dear friend, Irene Wolff of Edgewater, FL; and numerous other relatives and friends. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband of 65 1/2 years, Lupo Webb; grandson-in-law, Ronald Hamilton; brothers, Dick, Jack, John, and Emory Burgess; and sisters, Bessie Spillers, Lillie Mae Henslee, and Mary Ellen Jones. She was born on November 20, 1919 in Chester, GA to John A. and Jewell Burgess and lived most of her childhood in South Georgia. Gladys married Lupo Webb on January 7, 1939 in Thomaston, GA and raised her children there. They moved to Florida in the 1970's where she resided until late September of 2009 when her health required her to move to NM to be close to her daughter. She was very active in her church. Gladys was a social butterfly who would light on everybody's shoulder, never meeting a stranger. She was the "Georgia Peach" to the wonderful staff at The Cottages of Albuquerque, where she lived at the time of her death. Gladys was a true "Southern Belle". She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. WYCHE -- Nelline Medora Mauldin Wyche went to be with our Lord and her heavenly family on July 22, 2010 at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix Sanford and Mattie Mauldin; two brothers, Glenn and Earl Mauldin; and her beloved husband of 68 years, James Bryce Wyche. She is survived by her son Fred Wyche and wife Monica; her daughter Martha Sullins and husband Dennis; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; one sister, LaVerne Bratcher; one brother, Gayle Mauldin; plus many extended family members and friends. Nelline retired from the University of New Mexico in 1983 where she had worked as a lab technician. Prior to that she worked for APS. She believed her most important job was caring for her husband and family. Nelline will be remembered for her devotion to God. She welcomed strangers into her home and fed them with the same love and care as she did her own family. She was famous for her home cooked meals and desserts. We were privileged to have Nelline as an example of a truly godly mother and wife. May the Christian heritage she brought to this family continue for generations to come. The family wishes to thank the loving and caring people at Presbyterian Hospice who held our hands through this long journey.
