HARRIS -- Anna S. Harris, a 53 year resident of Albuquerque, died of natural causes, on July 24, 2010. A descendant of Ukrainian parents, she was born June 27, 1916. Anna was raised in Baltimore, MD, and came to Albuquerque in 1957, when her first husband was stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base. In her 60's, she returned to college and achieved a degree in education and taught elementary school for nearly ten years. She enjoyed gardening, music, collecting many things, visiting casinos and dining out. She is preceeded in death by her first husband, Herman Spencer and second husband, Jerome Harris. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Gardner; son, Ronald Spencer; grandchildren, Kathy Truong and her husband, Thuy, Thomas Gardner and his wife Christina; Chad Spencer, Jason Spencer, and Joshua Spencer; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Jack and Ellison Truong, Olivia and Gherig Gardner, Matthew, Ashton and Cheyenne Spencer; sister, Fritz Kitz; brothers, Michael and Bill Shenk; and longtime companion, Mike Baca. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 28th, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd., with a graveside funeral service, Friday, July 30th, 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park.
