ARCHULETA -- Manuel Archuleta, 75, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2009. He was born in 1934 in Torreon, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque for 66 years. Manuel is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary; daughters, Maxine and husband Paul Chavez, Margaret and husband Vince Krawic, Monica Archuleta and Joe Roberts; sons, Matthew and wife Wanda, Mark Archuleta and Cara Williford; grandchildren, Joseph, Emily, James, Veronica, Phillip, Nicole, Devin, Taylor, Sierra and Curtis; and special godchild Melina. Manuel had a smile that could light up a room. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and was a friend to all. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church for 49 years and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Kennedy Council. He retired from Sandia labs in 1994 and then ran several successful businesses. After his retirement he was very active in charitable organizations and in his community. He was an avid Lobo and Norte Dame football fan. The rosary will be recited Tuesday, September 8, 2009, 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas NE. Mass of the Resurrection will be Wednesday, September 9, 2009, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery. BELLINGAR -- Kathleen W. Bellingar, 88, resident of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2009. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lee Bellingar; sister, Johnnie Wesson; granddaughters, Denise Twellman and husband, Craig, and Laurie Elias; nieces, Diane DeFlon-Ray and husband, James Ray, Kimberly Brooks, and Victoria DeFlon; nephews, Kevin Brooks, Eric DeFlon, and Brandon DeFlon. BRIGNON -- Margaret Reyther Brignon, 91, was born March 27, 1918 and passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2009, the daughter of the late, Suzanne and John Reyther of Ennis, Texas. She was also the wife of the late Robert Hugh Brignon of Ferris, Texas and Dallas, Texas. She was always involved in so many activities, a board member of many garden clubs, both in Dallas, TX as well as Albuquerque, NM. Margaret was an avid bridge player, aspiring artist, a music lover, as well as a beautiful homemaker. Margaret is survived by her son, Robert Fredrick Brignon, of Dallas, TX; and her daughter, Michelle Brignon Tinsley, of New Orleans, Louisiana. The family thanks Mary Helen Kelly for her sincere concern, attention, and kindness during Margaret's stay in Princeton Place Nursing Center, and the staff of Heartland Hospice for their wonderful care of her. BUNNELL -- Jennifer "Jen" Bunnell, age 41, of Albuquerque, and formerly of Idaho Falls, ID and Salt Lake City, UT, passed away peacefully in her sleep, after a hard fought battle with cancer. Jennifer was a vibrant light that filled this world. She loved and was loved by every life she touched. With her passing, the world has dimmed and the heavens are now a little brighter with her presence. She was and is our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Jennifer is survived by her parents, Dale and Darleen Bunnell; sister, Katherine Gallegos and husband Francisco; brother, David Bunnell and wife Raechel; nephews, James, Jonas, Alexander, and Asher; grandparents, Jack and Donna Ker; and a large, loving, extended family. Jen was preceded in death by her brother, James Dale Bunnell; and grandparents, Jesse and Carma Bunnell. BYBEE -- Barbara L. Bybee was born October 11, 1934, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She lived most of her life in Borger and Dallas, Texas, until retiring to Angel Fire, New Mexico, in 1995. In 2000 she moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. She passed away on August 28, 2009, at age 74. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Ira L. and Juanita Davis Edwards; and her grandson Kenneth Gibbon. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Cleburne; daughter Lynne Bybee Gibbon; son Christopher Bybee and wife Colleen; daughter Alice Bybee and partner Susan Miller; her sisters and brothers-in-law Betty Picquet and husband Norman, Madelyn Pons and husband Al, Jo Wilson and husband Jim, Jennifer Miesse and husband John; numerous neices; nephews; and cousins; Grandchildren include Barbara Lynne FitzPatrick and husband Daniel, Katherine Gibbon, Parker Bybee, Will, Danielle and Kayla Hafey, great grandchilren Jake Hafey and Zoey Zeller; and her two therapy Chihuahuas Baby and Sandy. Barbara was an avid tennis player, skier and golfer. She was active in PTA. Her hobbies included painting, sculpting, bargain hunting and watching the Dallas Cowboys. She was office manager for many years of her husband's dental practice in Texas. Barbara was a fun-loving person, who enjoyed the outdoors and time spent with family. We would like to thank the staff of UNM Hospital's Neuro ICU and 5 South Unit for their excellent and compassionate care. Her memorial service was Saturday, September 5, 2009 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. CANNON -- Randall W. Cannon, 49, went on his eternal outdoor adventure on Thursday, September 3, 2009. He was born in Fairbanks, Alaska and served for 12 years in the US Air Force. Most recently, Randall had been working for Abacus Technologies at OMC on Kirtland Air Force Base. He is survived by his loving parents, Art and Jean Cannon; brothers, Alan Cannon and wife Elissa, Mike Cannon and wife Cordelia, Greg Cannon and wife Rene; aunt, Mary Lou Mixon; as well as numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends that loved him and will miss him. CHAMIER -- Scott L. Chamier, 79, passed away on September 3, 2009. Scott was born October 19, 1929 in Patchogue NY. He joined the Air Force in 1951. He was honorably discharged as a Major. Scott married Joan (Cinquemani). They recently celebrated 51 years of marriage. Scott was a Captain with American Airlines. 14 years ago Scott and Joan retired to Placitas, New Mexico. Scott was active in the local Pilots Club, American Airlines Grey Eagles, and the Commemorative Air Force. Scott is survived by his wife Joan, sons Colin, NY; Craig, OH; daughters Aimee Gremmo, NY; Courtenay (Laszlo Sandor), CA; ten grandchildren; and sister Claire Gutman, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Edward. CRISPIN -- Celine Aurora Crispin, 89, passed from this life peacefully Wednesday evening, September 2, 2009, at her home in Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe E. Crispin on May 19, 2009; her father, former NM Secretary of State, Manuel Martinez; mother, Juanita F. Martinez; sister, Alice Romero; and her brothers, Judge Rafael M. Martinez and Arnold Martinez. Celine is survived by her children, Joe E. Crispin (Tina) of Lake Elizabeth, CA, Jeneane Schneider (Cal) of St. Charles, MO, and Kathryn Clark (Dean) of Albuquerque; 12 grandchildren, Joey Crispin (Chrissy), Mauree Hamilton (Brownie), Rohn Engh, Michelle Wallace (Dave), Tracy Claflin (Jim) and their mother, Anna Marie Crispin, Vanessa Peralta (Chris) and her mother, Margie Ings, Kimberly Schneider, Joy Bouton (Kim), Kyle Schneider, Brendan Clark, Kevin Clark and Tony Crispin; 16 great-grandchildren, Jack, Haley, Ronin, Aubrianna, Kade, Mikailin, Devon, Marcus, Emilio, Lily, Amanda, Justin, Lindsey, Sayra, Jami, and Loren; niece and Goddaughter, Patty Alfred (Jerry) of Llano, CA; nephew, Pat Martinez of Llano, CA, and many other friends and family. Celine was born in Harding County in 1919. She and Joe lived for many years in Santa Fe, NM, where she worked for St. Vincent Hospital and the State of New Mexico. They retired and moved to Albuquerque in 1989. She will be remembered for the loving, kindness, generosity, and humor she brought to family gatherings, her garden, her pets and her kitchen. DELGADO -- Felipe Delgado (Phil) November 9, 1943-September 3, 2009 Peacefully passed away at UNMH surrounded by his family Mr. Delgado was preceded in death by his parents Guillermo and Pelagia Delgado; and sister Beatriz Mares. He is survived by sisters Cris O'Grady and Maria E. Delgado; Brothers Willie and wife Yvonne Delgado, Alfredo and wife Ana Delgado; and many nieces; nephews; and friends. Mr. Delgado was born and raised in Santa Rosa. He received his formal education at NMHU in Las Vegas, NM where he graduated with honors with a masters degree in business administration. His working career was as an accountant employed by Molly Corp in Questa, NM, Uno Cal in Castle Rock, Colorado to his present job as office manager at American Legion Post 13 in Albuquerque. Mr. Delgado will be greatly missed by his family and his close friends whom enjoyed his humorous personality. Cremation has taken place and services are scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at the Catholic Center on 4th and Parklake in Santa Rosa, NM. DUNN -- Robert Earl Dunn, "BOBBO", left us on Monday, August 31, 2009 after a short illness. He was born to Edwin Earl and Opal Marie Dunn on December 21, 1931 in Wichita, Kansas. Bobbo moved to New Mexico in 1993 and resided in Tijeras. He began his artistic career at the age of ten. Bobbo was a pioneer in the field of car painting, flame painting and pinstriping, becoming known as one of the "Original Eight after Dutch", and one of the "Original Seven". Bobbo made a life with his gift and made quite a name for himself across this country, being published in numerous magazines. He continued his extreme passion with the brush right up until his death. Bobbo loved the "Brush Bashes", "Car Shows" and spending time with the Disabled American Veterans. Bobbo honorably served in the US Army from January 1949 thru December 1953. He was an extremely proud Disabled American Veteran and truly loved America. He earned three Purple Hearts and two Bronze Stars. Bobbo is survived by his three daughters, Cheryl Ann, Terri Lynn and Deborah Earlene all of California; his brother (and best friend), John Thomas Dunn of Colorado; sister, Phyllis Yvonne, of Arkansas; as well as numerous friends who loved him and will miss him greatly. A Viewing will be held in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 from 5:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. He will be privately interred at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with US Army Honors at a later date. ESQUIVEL -- LeAnne Esquivel, beloved daughter and sister passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2009. LeAnne is survived by her father, Mike Esquivel; mother, Rebecca Pirkey and husband, Gary; brother, Milo Esquivel; grandmother, Dorothy Esquivel; paternal aunts and uncles, Chris Ayala, Richard and Kathy Esquivel, Larry Chavez and Bev Esquivel-Chavez; maternal aunts and uncles, Patricia Maestas, Cindy Harris, Priscilla Caruthers, Ray and Jennie Montano, and Rick and Pat Montano; and special friends, Sarah Koster and Sean Ondes. LeAnne nurtured a lifelong love of reading, and was an excellent student, having graduated from UNM with a BS in Sociology, and graduated from the CNM School of Nursing with an RN. She was an avid traveler, who loved and supported her family dearly. LeAnne enjoyed a particularly close and enduring relationship with her brother Milo. LAW -- DAVID HILLIS LAW IV, 82,of Seminole,died Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Bay Pines VA Hospice. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on July 24, 1927, Dr. David H. Law IV moved to Florida in 1996 after having lived in New York City, Nashville, Albuquerque and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. U.S. Army (1945-46).Cornell University (1950), medical doctorate-Cornell University Medical College-New York City (1954). Predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Cindy Law. Survived by brother Richard Law and wife (California); sister-in-law (Arizona); five children, Linda Law Clark (Louisiana), Wendy A. Law, Ph.D.(Maryland),David H. Law V and Kimberly Law Rankin(New Mexico) and Cassandra M. Law (California); nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two nieces and spouses of above. He dedicated his life to public service in health care, nutrition and education, served on innumerable national and international boards, committees and task forces, consulted, co-authored abstracts and mentored many. Special Consultant to the National Institutes of Health and the Interdepartmental Committee on Nutrition for National Defense to conduct the Jordan Nutrition Survey(1963). Received numerous awards, including the David M. Whorten award for national contributions toward education in the health professions. Fellow in the American College of Physicians, member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Institute of Nutrition and the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States. Renaissance man, he savored and shared the music, art, food and cultures experienced in his worldwide travel. He and Cindy loved entertaining, be it a country picnic or a five star gourmet meal. Christmas he enjoyed being mistaken for Santa, sharing a jovial laugh and a Merry Christmas to all. An avid supporter of the International Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, he attended each since its inception. A man of his word, he treated others as he wished to be treated, regardless of position or status and worked tirelessly to help those in need. Each and every person he touched remembers him with love and respect as a man of integrity and honor. LOVATO -- Richard Lovato, 62, a lifelong resident of Bernalillo, New Mexico, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Geri Lovato; sons, Ryan Lovato, Patrick Lovato and son James Lovato; daughter Wendy Aguilar and husband Lawrence; daughter, Glynis Valenzuela and husband, Hector and children, Dominic and Bryanna Valenzuela. Richard loved to go hunting, he always welcomed all who came to his door and loved to feed everybody. He will be especially remembered for giving good advice, as he helped others. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m. at our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, New Mexico. MARTINEZ -- Lawrence Martinez, born December 11, 1921 in Algodones, NM, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2009, in Albuquerque at the age of 87 . He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice; and daughters, Rosie Lucero and Margaret Martinez. Lawrence is survived by his children, Herman Martinez, Larri Baca, and Lawrence Martinez Jr.; ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Carmen Archibeque; as well as other family and friends who loved him and will miss him. Lawrence was a member of St. Theresa little flower Catholic Church, and was an advisory council member of the Northfourth Senior Center. He was a great father and grandfather and also loved to fish and camp. MCMAHAN -- Adrian O "Mac" McMahan, 91, died peacefully at home September 4, 2009 in Albuquerque. He is survived by his son Bill Murray and wife Marilyn of Belen, NM; grandchildren Ted Murray and wife Cindy of Ft Wayne, IN, Billie Gibson and husband Mike of Ft. Wayne, IN and Connie Murray of Marana, AZ; seven great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his good friends Jack and Joni, Lois and his caregiver Marty. Adrian was preceded in death by his wife Bernice, parents John and Lottie, brothers, Richard, Oberlin, Virgil and Robert, sisters Patricia and Priscilla. Mr. McMahan served in the US Army during WW II. He and his wife moved to Albuquerque in 1953 from Fort Wayne where he had worked for Eckrich Meat Company. MCQUAID -- Jean (Helen Jean Nethery Bradley) McQuaid was born in 1912 in DeBeque, CO. She was the eldest of three daughters of Margaret and James Nethery. She was blessed with two daughters, Sally Scrivner (Lairie) and Martha (Marti) Crapo (Tom); four grandchildren, Steve and Brian Scrivner, Katherine Crapo, and Michelle Betsch; two step great-grandaughters Emily and Amy; two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Averie Betsch; and one foster great-grandaughter Eyde. Her family includes her sister Phyllis Angell; niece Barbara Angell; nephew Dick Angell; niece Mary Peck, whom she called her daytime daughter; nephew Tom O. McQuaid; niece Pat Prather; nephew Jim Bradley; niece Diane Ray; niece Patsy Richardson; niece Donna McQuaid; and nephews Mike; Douglas, and Tommy McQuaid. Jean loved all of nature's beauty, Colorado and New Mexico, gardening, rock-hounding, reading, and camping, particularly with her LOW camping friends and her family. Many of her friends and family celebrated her 85th birthday with a camping trip to Coyote Creek State Park near Mora, New Mexico. She and Walter moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1950, and her heart belonged to the Land of Enchantment for 48 years. She moved to Denver, CO in 1998, and then to Frederick, CO in 2006 to live with her daughter Marti until a recent move to Fort Collins, CO. Our Mother, Grandmother, great-Grandmother, Aunt, and Sister passed on to her next life on September 1, 2009 at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her husband Jay G. Bradley in 1941; her husband Walter B. McQuaid in 1983; and her sister Alice Rodgers in 1991. A private celebration of her life will be held in Fort Collins, CO. PEDERSON -- Richard ("Dick") Pederson, a life long resident of Albuquerque, passed away on August 30, 2009. He was born to Clarence E. Pederson and Mary Katherine Suffolk Pederson on March 1, 1930. He graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1947 and attended the University of Colorado and the University of New Mexico. He enlisted in the Army during the Korean conflict, attended OCS and was commissioned in Ordnance Corps in 1952. He owned and managed Pete's Safety Lane until retirement in 1983. As a young man Dick enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was active in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, serving as exalted ruler in 1967-1968. He was the current chairman of the 1947 Albuquerque High School Reunion Committee and a member of American Legion Post 49. He also was a member of the Chaparral Motor Home Club and enjoyed traveling throughout the country. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sue Mullings Pederson; one daughter Lea O'Hanlan and husband Edward (Ted) O'Hanlan; one grandson Edward (Teddy) O'Hanlan; one niece; two nephews; and many cousins. RAFF -- Celine Davis Raff, 96, a life-long resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, August 29, 2009. She is survived by her sister, Anne Davis Walker; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins; and many friends. Celine was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles D. Raff in 1984; and siblings, Isabelle, Helen, Concepcion, Mary, Lucy, Joe, Celso, George, Frank, Paul, and Charles. She was born on November 16, 1912 in Moriarty, NM to Joseph and Juanita Martinez Davis. Celine was a graduate of Loretto Academy in Santa Fe. She married Charles Raff in her early 20's. In the early 1940's, at a time when most women stayed at home, Celine started her own loan business, Sun Money, which she operated for many years. She was also very politically active in the Republican Party, including running for political office. A lead member in the Albuquerque segment of the Parliamentarians, she was still advising Albuquerquians on appropriate business etiquette until 2006. Celine spearheaded Brother Matthias's Corn Beef and Cabbage, St. Patrick's Day Fundraising Dinner. She was a major contributor in the building of the Sacred Heart bell tower, constructed from a steel beam from 9/11, and was also very generous to the Archdiocese. REYNOLDS -- Robert Stanton ("Stan") Reynolds, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died peacefully on September 1, 2009 at the age of 84. Stan was the son of J. Franklin and Nelle Reynolds and was born in Greeley, Colorado on January 28, 1925. His family moved to Albuquerque in 1929, where he graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1943. He interrupted his studies at Harvard University to serve in the Army Air Corps in World War II, where he was a radar countermeasures officer in the 20th Air Force, 19th Bombardment Group, flying seven bombing missions over Japan. After returning from the war, Stan married his childhood sweetheart, Louise M. Keena, with whom he spent 63 wonderful years of marriage. He completed his physics degree at Harvard and an additional degree in electrical engineering at the University of Colorado. Upon graduating, Stan took a position with Sandia National Laboratories as a member of the Field Test Organization. He was a Senior Member of the Technical Staff and served 44 years in various assignments, including Operation Dominic at Johnston Island in 1962. He was a senior member of IEEE; received the Pioneer Award from the International Foundation for Telemetering in 1995; and was a member of the Range Commanders Council. Stan was a member of First Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, where he sang in the choir and served as a deacon. He is survived by his wife, Louise K. Reynolds; by his sisters, Jane Ash and Harriette Bolling; by his sons, Dean S. Reynolds and wife Susan; Gary A. Reynolds and wife Cheri; and David G. Reynolds and wife Michele; by grandchildren Brianne, Jeff, Chris, Erin, Kristen, Shannon, Amanda, Kathleen and Meredith; and by several nieces and nephews. SANCHEZ -- Della Pauline Sanchez, 91, native of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2009. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews including, Mary Gallemore, Mary Ann Sanchez, Marcella Hoehne, Viola Ulibarri, Raymond Sanchez, Gilbert Sanchez and Martin Sanchez. She was preceded in death by her parents, Olegario and Adela C. Sanchez. Della was born July 6, 1918 in Old Town. She loved her parents and family, and they were the most important part of her life. She was the last of the Alvarado Hotel's Harvey Girls and was so proud to have been able to be one of them. Della's time at church, Our Lady of Fatima, and her time with friends in the Women's Guild were her most treasured moments. Gallagher Hall was where everybody knew her name. He was born April 8, 1927 near Millport, AL to James Trapp and Maudie Bell Trapp and was the third of seven children. Ed served in the US Army during the occupation of Germany after World War II. In 1949, he moved to Albuquerque and began a business with his brother, Bob. Trapp's Texico operated until 1968 when Ed surrendered to the Lord's call and entered the Southern Baptist Ministry and pastored several small country churches throughout New Mexico. In 1957, Ed married Dorothy Bates and was father to her three young girls as well as their son. Ed was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Bob; and sisters, Celeste and Adele. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy; daughters, Phyllis McClure of Virginia Beach, VA, Sandra Lawhorn and husband, Dennis of T or C, and Laurie Noel Squires of Placitas; son, Dr. Timothy D. Trapp and wife, Christine of Corrales; grandchildren, Anthony Costa, Theresa Johnston, Anna Pollack, Kimberly Noel Woodruff, Stephanie Slagle, and Geoffrey and Cameron Trapp; sisters, Virgi Rickman, Myrtie Sansing, and Penny Justice; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many brothers and sisters in Christ. Ed was known for his unerring ability to remember people's names and faces even when he had not seen them for years. He could recall a customer or church member from 25 years ago and not only remember their face, but their name and personal history. It was an amazing quality. We will miss our dear brother, who through his tireless service to his Lord and Savior has secured so many of us into the fellowship of Christ. We know that we will see him again, and that our loss is Heaven's gain. WERNER -- Theresa Werner passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September2, 2009. Theresa and her parents came to the United States from Belgium when she was a small child. The Werners settled in West Virginia. Theresa graduated from Mount St. Joseph Women's College in Cincinnati, Ohio, in the early 1930's. Upon graduation, she returned to West Virginia and worked in accounting for a large mining company. In 1970, Theresa retired and moved to New Mexico. She fell in love with the people, sky, traditions, and the many other charms of New Mexico. Theresa will be laid to rest next to her parents in West Virginia. WILEY -- Clella C. Wiley, 95, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, September 1, 2009. She was born in St. Clair Missouri on July 6, 1914 and moved to Albuquerque in 1955. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Wiley. She is survived by her son, John Nelson and his wife Erma, of Arkansas; her daughter Margaret Kiscaden and her husband Bill, of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Audrey Palmer, of Albuquerque, NM; and many, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
