Lawrence Martinez, born December 11, 1921 in Algodones, NM, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2009, in Albuquerque at the age of 87 . He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice; and daughters, Rosie Lucero and Margaret Martinez. Lawrence is survived by his children, Herman Martinez, Larri Baca, and Lawrence Martinez Jr.; ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Carmen Archibeque; as well as other family and friends who loved him and will miss him. Lawrence was a member of St. Theresa little flower Catholic Church, and was an advisory council member of the Northfourth Senior Center. He was a great father and grandfather and also loved to fish and camp. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Theresa little flower Catholic Church, 4th and Mildred NW on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at a later date.
