YOUNGBAR -- Mary Patricia Youngbar, 64, passed away peacefully, on November 11, 2008: after battling a long time illness of MS. She is survived by her family, two children, John Youngbar of Port Clinton, OH and Kathleen Youngbar of Albuquerque, NM. Two grandchildren, Jonathon and Isabella Youngbar; and three sisters Ruthanne Bierne of San Diego, CA, Deirdre Kennedy and Nuala Fafiani of Ireland; and eight nieces and nephews. Even though Ireland was her home and birthplace, she always loved New Mexico. First moving here in 1990 with her children, she always said New Mexico reminded her of Ireland in its own way and this became her new home. Although having dealt with such a debilitating disease for the majority of her life, she was always laughing and telling jokes. She never let the disease reflect her attitude; even on her worst days she would smile through it and make everyone else smile too. She had a great sense of humor and loved making others happy. Since Mary always wanted to help make a difference in MS research with finding a cure, she decided a few years ago that when the time, came she would donate her body to science in hopes of making a difference for others with this disease. Services will be held in eight - ten weeks, due to pending medical procedures with Science Care.
