Obituary for BARONI

Lena C. Baroni, 89, a long time resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, November 16, 2008. She is survived by her five children Elena Baroni - Rabel and husband John of Albuquerque, NM, Mary Ann Baroni and husband Michael Vitiello of Seattle, WA, George E. Baroni and wife Laurie of Southington, CT, Eva Baroni and husband Jeff Brown of Richland, WA and Helen Baroni and husband Rod Low of Honolulu, HI; eight grandchildren Audra Gollenberg, David Baroni, Sarah Brown, Lena Low, Philip Low, Stacy Visconti, Monica Kiser, and Thomas Rabel; five great- grandchildren; and four nieces and nephews Diane Annis, Peter Caminati, Ronald Caminati, Beatrice Smith and Linda Netsch. Lena was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years George Baroni; her parents Elvira Aluzio and Vincenzo Caminati and three siblings Renato, Gedio and Eva. Lena owned a florist shop with her husband in Connecticut, Riverview Gardens, before retiring to Albuquerque. Lena was an avid reader who enjoyed arts and crafts and excelled at Trivial Pursuits. She was a member of Our Lady of The Annunciation Catholic Church for twenty five years and received home bound services for the last four years. She was very active in and was past president of Annunciation Golden Agers. Lena's family would like to give a special thanks to Father Voorhies, The Marianites, and three special caregivers Cynthia, Carol, and Birdie. Friends and family may visit French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2008, with Rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at Our Lady of The Annunciation Catholic Church, Claremont and Vermont Streets, 8:30 a.m., on Thursday, November 20, 2008, with interment taking place on Friday, 10:30 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
