Margery Wilding Papich, 90, widow of retired FBI agent Sam J. Papich and a resident of Albuquerque since 1972, died Friday, November 14, 2008. She is survived by her son William and his wife JoAnn of Farmington, and by her daughter Louise of Albuquerque. She attended Northwestern University, class of 1940, and later was an editor of women's magazines at Faucet Publications in New York City. When Sam was stationed at the American Embassy in Brazil, she contributed to the first English language newspaper in Rio de Janeiro. In New Mexico she was a co-author of the 1984 novel, The Balloon Affair. At her request, Cremation has taken place and no Services are planned.
