Roberta Crowder Massegee The Lord called home Roberta Crowder Massegee, age 80, a resident of Belen, on Sunday, November 16, 2008. Mrs. Massegee loved to read and crochet and was always active in the Baptist church, even serving as a Sunday school teacher at one time. She was always there for her family and friends and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James A. "Jim" Massegee in 2006. She is survived by her children, Jimmy Massegee and his wife, Julie; Donna Bernard and her husband, James and Brenda Hales and her husband, Jack; three sisters, Marilyn, Joyce and Cynthia; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 5:00 p.m., at the New Life Fellowship with Pastor John Kennedy officiating. Inurnment will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Riverside Funeral Home of Belen, 418 W.
