Brodeur -- Marie Ange Brodeur went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 11, 2001. Marie was born May 26, 1905 in St. Jean des Piles, Province of Quebec, Canada. She is survived by her children, Rosemarie Briggs and husband, Peter of Albuquerque and Richard Brodeur and wife, Jean of Londonderry, NH; grandchildren, Chris Briggs and wife, Heather of Albuquerque, Rachel Briggs White and husband, Scott of Sandia Park, Ruthanne Briggs Hamrick and husband, Dan of Cedar Crest, Sharon Briggs Tindle and husband, Eric of Derry, NH, Robert Brodeur and wife, Sonia of Manchester, NH, and Aimee Brodeur of Londonderry, NH. In addition, she leaves behind nine great-grandchildren who adored her. She was preceded in death 27 years ago by her beloved husband, Ernest Brodeur. Marie was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She attended Foothills Fellowship. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Saturday, December 15, 2001, 2:00 p.m., at Foothills Fellowship, 12504 Candelaria NE, corner of Candelaria and Tramway. Interment of cremains will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Salem, MA.

Clark -- Robert Arthur Clark, 80, a resident of Albuquerque for 20 years, passed away on December 12, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Joan W. Clark; children, Denise Sprague, Robert Clark, Christi Hatch, and Julie Clark; grandchildren, Nathan, Bonnie and Joel Sprague, Jesse, Cameron, Candace, and Christan Hatch, Breanna, Nicole, Michael and Sean Sly; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Matthew Sprague and Jamie Hatch; sister, LuAnn Hall; brother, David Clark. Robert held the office of Bishop for 18 years and Patriarch for 19 years in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He devoted his life to the service of others through his faith in Jesus Christ. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was affectionately known as "Grandad" by those who cherished his association. Grandad is parted from us briefly, but death has not separated us. Service will be held Saturday, December 15, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, North Valley Ward, 1100 Montano Rd. NW, with Bishop Robert Clayton officiating. Fischer -- Thomas Edward Fischer passed away at the age of 51 on December 14, 2001 in Tijeras, New Mexico, from a brain tumor. He was first diagnosed in 1994 and had a few years in remission to enjoy his life. Tom is survived by his wife of 30 years, Marie Fischer, in Tijeras; and two children, Ben Fischer of Phoenix, Arizona and Michelle Fischer of Tijeras. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela, in 1974; his parents, Edward and Mary Fischer; and his brother, John Fischer. Tom was affectionately known as Tyrone Pelon by many close to him. His gentle smile and positive strength will be missed dearly. Tom was born August 2, 1950, in South Bend, Indiana. He attended Indiana State University and moved to New Mexico in 1970. He loved the blue sky and mountains of New Mexico and his sweetheart, Marie. Tom was proud to have attained conscientious objector status in 1970 towards the draft for the Vietnam War. He was a peaceful man who always wished for world peace. His family believes he is already assisting in the effort toward world peace from the spiritual realm. Tom primarily worked as a Paralegal throughout his life, but his passion was his store in Tijeras, "The Best of New Mexico" which sold New Mexico food and gifts. In February of this year, Tom attained the First Degree in the Reiki method of Natural Healing. Tom's favorite motto was"Keep on Dancin". In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Brain Tumor Foundation, 785 Market St., Suite 1600, San Francisco, California , 94103. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, December 16, at 10:00 a.m. at Pinon Canyon Center (YWCA), 11778 South Highway 337, Tijeras, New Mexico.

Garde -- Mauricio Garde, Jr., age 78, passed away December 13, 2001 at the Guadalupe County Hospital following an illness. Mauricio was born May 25, 1923 in Vaughn, NM to the home of Mauricio and Emila Marcilla Garde. After graduating from Vaughn High School, Mauricio attended New Mexico State University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture. He was a WWII Veteran serving in the United States Army as a Military Policeman. He ranched cattle and sheep in the Vaughn area for many years. Mauricio was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vaughn, the Cattle Growers Association, Wool Growers Association, and the American Legion Post 0053. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother and sisters, Mariana Garde, Emilia Garcia, Alfonso Garde and Ines Alvarez. Survivors include his two sisters, Susie Hindi and husband, Brahaim of Duran, NM, Helen Lewis and husband, Wesley of Vaughn and his brother, Raymond Garde and wife, Phyliss of Espanola, NM. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at the Garde Family home (10th and Walnut) in Vaughn on Sunday starting at 10:00 a.m. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening also from the Garde Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. from St. Mary's Church in Vaughn with Father John Jasinski officiating. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Vaughn. Serving as Pallbearers will be Brahaim Hindi, Jr., Jamil Hindi, Isidoro Manzanarez, Victor Garde, Joe Garde, Tom Garde, Ramon Alvarez., Joe Alvarez, Orlando Garcia, and Jaime Garcia. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Emilio Torrez, Richard Gonzales, Armando Panebouef, Ray Gallegos, Leandro Abeyta, Frank Marcilla, Jaime Marcilla, Tony Romo and Pat Maes. Gonzales -- Robert L. Gonzales, 60, a resident of Corrales, passed away on December 14, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Betty Gonzales of the family home; daughters, Dana Trujillo and husband, Lee of Corrales, NM, and Roberta Fanelli and husband, Bill of Murfreesboro, TN; eight grandchildren, Robert, Rachel, Emily and David Trujillo, and Amanda, Billy, Troy and Matt Fanelli; devoted mother, Josephine Gonzales of Corrales, three brothers, Leroy Gonzales, Ernest Gonzales and wife, Marie and Lawrence (Pat) Gonzales and wife, Deborah; special uncle, Tony Gonzales and wife, Zita and many other relatives and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Luciano R. Gonzales and infant son, Robert Joseph Gonzales. He was a native of Corrales, NM and loved farming. Gunn -- Thelma Hazelhurst Gunn passed away on December 8, 2001 of complications from diabetes. She was born October 13, 1906 in Junction City, OR to Ed and Chole Bryant. She married Glenn C. Hazelhurst February 17, 1930 in Bend, OR and they had two daughters, Marty Heigh Lester and Phyllis Eskew Stearns. Glenn died in 1970. Thelma then traveled extensively with her good friend, Ruth Fetzner for the next few years and then moved to La Grande, OR to be with her daughter, Marty; her grandchildren, Wes, Bill and Kate Heigh, and her mother, Chloe Bryant. After Cloe's death, Thelma married Lawrence H. Gunn in 1976. They traveled all over Canada and North America. They settled down near Albuquerque on South Highway 14. Thelma's diabetes became brittle around 1992 and she and Larry joined households with her daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Wilbur Stearns. Larry died in 1995. Thelma lived on with Wilbur and Phyllis until soon after her 95th birthday, when severe ill health put her in Manor Care. Thelma brought joy to everyone she met with her keen wit and sense of humor. She was a good friend. The family is thankful to God for the joy of Thelma's presence with them on this earth and are comforted by her continued life with our Lord in Paradise. Thelma is survived by Phyllis and Wilbur Stearns and Phyllis's children, Mike Eskew and wife, Patricia, and Jim Eskew and wife, Sydnie and Marty Lester and children, Wes Heigh and wife, Marcia, Bill Heigh and wife, Bobbie and Kate Saporta and husband, Victor; great-grandchildren, James Heigh, Chela Saporta, Nikki and Kelly Eskew and Ashley Eskew. Houston -- Lucille A. Houston, 85, a resident of Albuquerque since 1940, died Saturday, December 8, 2001. She was born in Sydney, Iowa on December 23, 1915. She worked as a seamstress and dry cleaner at several cleaning establishments around Albuquerque for over 50 years, not retiring until the age of 75. She was preceded in death by daughters, Sandy Otterbach, Lila Smith; and son, Mike Hiatt. Johannessen -- Margaret B. Johannessen, 84, a resident of Tome, NM, peacefully passed away at an Albuquerque hospital on Friday, December 14, 2001. She was born of German decendent to John and Anna Fritz on August 23, 1917. Margaret was a Grand Past Matron of the East Star Turquoise Lodge #71 and the Jasmine Eastern Star Lodge #45. She was also a long time member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, The Telephone Pioneer Club, The German Club of Belen, and Women of the Moose Chapter #1648 of Belen. Margaret is now reunited in heaven with her husband, Haldor O. Johannessen who passed away in 1996. She is survived by her two loving sons, Bob and his wife, Barbara of Tome, NM; and Richard and his wife, Patti of Southbury, CT; and one loving daughter, Karen Johannessen of Chicago, IL; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Margaret was a fun loving grandmother, who loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Kincaid -- Dr. Linda Kincaid, 52, a resident of Albuquerque for eight years, died Thursday, December 13, 2001. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Kincaid of Paso Robles, CA; sister, Jackye Blackburn and husband, Steven of Warwick, RI; nephew, Sgt. Thomas Blackburn of Tyler, TX; niece, Stacey VonSeeberg and husband Matt of West Warwick, RI; nephew, Robert Blackburn of West Warwick, RI; and many dear family members and friends. She was a member of MENSA. Linda was a teacher and coach at Gallup High School for 19 years. She received her doctorate from UNM and graduated with highest honors. She was currently teaching 7th grade at Hope Christian School where she also coached volleyball. She was actively involved in ministry at Midtown Fellowship. Love -- Robert J. Love, 82, a resident of Albuquerque for 56 years, died Thursday, December 13, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rachel Love; 10 children; 24 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters; and many nieces, nephews and many friends. Robert Joseph Love was born on September 17, 1919. He was an army veteran and served in North Africa, Italy and France during WWII. He was a former union leader and activist in the Asbestos Workers Local #76. In recent years, Robert was a craftsman and artisan. He was also a philosopher and educator and was well loved by his family and friends. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 9:30 a.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal SE, with Father Joseph Thai Tran, S.S.S., Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Parker -- John E. Parker, 85, a resident of Albuquerque for more than 21 years, passed away on December 12, 2001 after a short illness. He was born in Marianna, Arkansas on February 22, 1916. He married Wanda M. Parker on June 30, 1942 and together they enjoyed living in many different states including Mississippi and Colorado. John served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII as a photographer. In the 70's, he owned a popular music store in Durango, CO then retired to Albuquerque in 1980. He is survived by stepson, Dr. Harve Chappell, DVM of Grand Junction, CO; daughter, Kathy Komonko of Anacortes, WA; and son, John Parker of Edgewood, NM; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford L. Richmond. Turner -- Wilma Jane Turner. Mrs. Turner was born on March 5, 1905 to John Virgil and Carrie (Noblet) Pharr. She was one of 13 children. She passed away on December 13, 2001 peacefully from this life. As a young lady she moved with her family to Silverton, TX where she met her future husband and best friend for life, Amos Turner. They were married at a double wedding with Wilma's sister Grace. Mr. and Mrs. Turner were married for 63 years before his death in 1989. Amos and Wilma farmed and ranched in Silverton, TX and Drum, TX before moving to McIntosh, NM. Wilma was a Postmistress at their General Store, retiring after 30 years. The Turners then moved to Belen, NM. Wilma and Amos loved going to auctions, buying and selling antiques. Amos and Wilma moved to Bokchito, OK. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Barbara and husband, Charles Nicholson of Bokchito, OK; grandchildren, Todd and Denna Nicholson of Woodlands, TX, Charlotte Jane and Tom Young of Midland, TX; six great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Grace Schell of Ukiah, CA; brothers, Leon Pharr of Kingsland, TX, George Pharr of Lubbock, TX; special friend and care giver, Rae Ryker, Madera Reedy and family, Christine Payne; nurses and aids at Kings Daughters and Sons Nursing Home, Dr. Khatpal, Jason Squires, and Melody Cocho. Villanueva -- Lorenzo Villanueva, age 22, beloved son, brother, and grandson was called home to be with the Lord our Savior, Wednesday, December 12, 2001. Lorenzo was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque; a parishioner of Holy Rosary; and a member of the Moose Lodge. He is survived by his loving mother, Stella D. Sanchez and Rick Mora; four brothers, John Sanchez and wife, Roxanne, Robert Sanchez, Paul Sanchez and wife, Carol, Christopher Contreras all of Albuquerque; two sisters, Rosa Wersonick and Steve Wersonick, Lorraine Storie and husband, Michael all of Albuquerque. Also surviving are his maternal grandmother, Connie Bartlett; maternal grandfather, Ben Lovato; his girlfriend, Rena Garcia; several nieces, nephews, other relatives; and a host of friends. Lorenzo will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those who knew and loved him. A Rosary will be recited Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 5415 Fortuna NW. Casket bearers will be Chris Contreras, Paul, Sanchez, Robert Sanchez, John Sanchez, Steve Wersonick, Mike Storie and Rick Mora. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. also at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to family. Funeral services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth Street NW.
