Obituary for Parker

John E. Parker, 85, a resident of Albuquerque for more than 21 years, passed away on December 12, 2001 after a short illness. He was born in Marianna, Arkansas on February 22, 1916. He married Wanda M. Parker on June 30, 1942 and together they enjoyed living in many different states including Mississippi and Colorado. John served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII as a photographer. In the 70's, he owned a popular music store in Durango, CO then retired to Albuquerque in 1980. He is survived by stepson, Dr. Harve Chappell, DVM of Grand Junction, CO; daughter, Kathy Komonko of Anacortes, WA; and son, John Parker of Edgewood, NM; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. The family will have a small private ceremony at St. Stephens United Methodist Church 4601 Juan Tabo Blvd. NE.
