Garcia -- In Loving Memory of RENETTA (RENEE) E. GARCIA September 30, 1960 - February 19, 2000 Forever in our hearts. Renetta Eligia Garcia, 39, a lifelong resident of Carnuel, NM, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2000. Rene was a parishioner of Holy Child Catholic Church; a 1978 graduate of Manzano High School; she was employed as a secretary with the Albuquerque Public Schools; she enjoyed football and was a Greenbay Packer fan. She was preceded in death by her mother, Delia Brionez Garcia; and a sister, Bernadette Garcia. She is survived by her daughter, Bernadette V. Garcia; her father, Johnny A. Garcia; two brothers, Richard Brionez of San Jose, CA and Leslie Garcia of Carnuel; three sisters, Judy Griego and husband, David, Emerald Martinez, both of Albuquerque and Norene Garcia and husband, Theodore of Tijeras; Godparents, Bernardino and Augustine Garcia, Richard and Alvita Garcia, all of Carnuel; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. A rosary will be recited this evening at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Garcia Mortuary, located on the corner of 8th and Iron. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, 1:00 p.m., at Holy Child Catholic Church in Carnuel, with the Reverend John Carney as Celebrant. Casket bearers will be Leslie Garcia, Eddie Brionez, Ralph Brionez, David Griego, Jimmy Gutierrez and Dennis Aragon. For floral assistance, please call 243-5222. Garcia -- Richard"Wayne" Garcia, 48, was in an automobile accident and went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2000. He was born in Pueblo on May 3, 1951 and currently lived in Albuquerque. He was employed as Payroll Manager for Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1974. He was 1969 graduated of Pueblo South High and the University of Southern Colorado in 1976. His wit and humor will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was a friend of Bill W. for the past 13 years. He is survived by his children, Desi and Brandi Garcia of Albuquerque; parents, Jerry and Helen Garcia of Pueblo; grandmother, Agnes Vallejos of Walsenburg; brothers and sisters, Gerald (Frances) Garcia of Pueblo, Anna (LeRoy) Payne of Aurora, Bill (Michelle) Garcia of Arvada, Loraine Aranda of Pueblo, Janice Garcia of Pueblo, Greg (Jacki) Garcia of Pueblo, Charles (Kim) Garcia of Pueblo; special friends, Jackie Garcia, Jean Bierner and their families; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and friends. Preceded in death by grandparents, Abelino and Delia Garcia, Benito Vallejos; and sister, Joanne Garcia. Hayden -- Lt. Col. Curtis B. Hayden, U.S. Army Ret., 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1973, died Friday, February 18, 2000. Mr. Hayden was a veteran of WWII and Korea. He retired as a Lt. Col. from the U.S. Army in 1961 with over 20 years active duty in the Philippines, Italy, Germany and Korea. He continued his service to his country in the Disaster Preparedness and Contract Management Offices at Kirtland, AFB. He is survived by his wife, Lucille Hayden of Albuquerque; sons, Robert K. Hayden of Clearwater, FL, Edward B. Hayden and wife, Alma Lynne of Myrtle Beach, SC, and John S. Hayden and wife, Melba of Orange Park, FL; daughters, Susan Baca and husband, Jude of Albuquerque and Linda Topmiller and husband, James, also of Albuquerque; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jude Baca, Jr.; and granddaughter, Melissa Ann Baca. Services will be held Wednesday, 11:00 a.m., at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul, NE, with Pastor Frank Thompson, officiating. Entombment will follow at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum. Herrera -- Raymond J. Herrera, 47, was called to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 19, 2000 after a long illness. Raymond was born on August 27, 1952. He is survived by his mother, Julie S. Herrera; his son, James Herrera and fiancee, Cindy Gallegos of Albuquerque; wife, Elaine; sons, Tony and Mike, all from San Francisco, CA; close friend, Samantha Baker; brothers, Paul S. Herrera and wife, Orie, Lee Rudy and Herman Herrera, all from Albuquerque. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe C. Herrera; and brother, Ronald S. Herrera. Raymond's wishes were that he be cremated and no services be held. The family would like to thank all their family and friends for the kindness and support shown to them during their recent loss.

Hettick -- Inez"Dusty" Werner Hettick, 70, returned to Jesus, Thursday morning, February 17, 2000. Inez came to Albuquerque in 1937 with her family, where her father E.R. Werner opened and managed the city's first JC Penney Department store. She received a Masters of Arts degree from UNM in 1966, and was a 50 year member of Alpha Chi Omega. Mrs. Hettick was a dedicated elementary school teacher, who blessed many children in Albuquerque, Western Samoa, and Southern California. Dusty spent her retirement years enjoying her children, David, Todd and Roger; her grandchildren, Heidi, Josh, Jared, John, Cristy, L.T. and Cassie; and great-grandson, Rowan. She will be remembered in a memorial service held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 23, at the LDS Chapel in Taylor Ranch.

Magee -- Graveside services for Ollie B. Magee, 74, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 22, 2000 at Mount Pisgah Cemetery, Gillette, Wyoming. She died Friday, February 18, 2000 at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home, Gillette, of natural causes. Ollie Bell Magee was born April 8, 1925 at Kiowa, OK to Ollie L. and Marie C. (Paris) Hollabaugh. She was raised in Texas and had lived in various places. She moved to Gillette four years ago, where she had been a resident at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home. She is survived by a son, Donald F. Whitehead, Cortez, CO; a daughter, Darlene Lemons, Gillette, WY; a step-daughter, Winona Williams, Albuquerque; five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and a sister. Wilson Funeral Home, Gillette, is in care of arrangements.

Mccoy -- Jessie McCoy, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on February 20, 2000. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Andy McCoy, also surviving are her children, Vangie and her companion, Miguel, Mary Jane Lujan and husband, Richard, Gregory McCoy and wife, Grace, Arthur McCoy and wife, Loretta, Richard McCoy, and Robert McCoy; 14 grandchildren, Elizabeth Gonzales, Betty Trujillo, Georgia Marquez, Bridgette McCoy, Aaron Lujan, Fabien Lujan, Miranda McCoy, Gabriel McCoy, Geniva McCoy, Marcus McCoy, April McCoy, Matthew McCoy and Nicholas McCoy; 21 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Manuel Delgado. Services are pending and will be announced by the Alameda Mortuary. Morgan -- Alex A. Morgan, 79, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on February 18, 2000. He is survived by his loving wife, Esther Morgan; son, Alex W. Morgan and wife, Martha of Albuquerque; daughters, Peggy Blancherd and husband, Mike of Anchorage, AK and Mary Stanbury and husband, Ravi of San Jose, CA; five grandchildren, Pam, Monica, Cynthia, Alex Jr. and DeAndra; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Morgan was a Man Power Specialist at the New Mexico Department of Labor before his retirement and had served with the Albuquerque Police Department for five years. A Rosary will be recited this evening, 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Parish. New -- Rita S. New, 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, died Monday, February 21, 2000. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Henry"Bill" New of Albuquerque; daughter, Rita A. New of Albuquerque; sons, James A. New and wife, Vickie of Bosque Farms and William A. New of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Nathan New, Sarah New, and Tyler New of Albuquerque; and Anita New and Amy New of Bosque Farms; and sister, Agnes Heasley and husband, George of Greensburg, PA. Mrs. New was a member of Holy Ghost Parish, where she was active in the Rosary Altar Society. She worked as a volunteer Teacher's Aide at Holy Ghost Catholic School. Pallas -- Joseph D. Pallas, 79, of South Paris, died Friday, February 18, 2000 at Market Square Health Care Center. He was born in Washington, DC on March 8, 1920, the son of James A. and Hattie V. Plummer Pallas. He was educated in Washington, DC schools. He proudly served in the U.S. Army in WWII in the Pacific and in Korea as an M/Sgt. Prior to his retirement in 1976 he spent 30 years under Civil Service in the Dept. of Environmental Services as an engineer in the city of Washington, DC. He resided in Myrtle Beach, SC for 16 years before moving to South Paris in 1996. He was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Myrtle Beach, SC and the Myrtle Beach Lodge No. 353, A.F. & A.M. He is survived by his wife, the former Irene R. Major of South Paris; one daughter, Anne and her husband, Stanley Lane of Albuquerque; one son, James Pallas of Concordia, MO; a granddaughter, Nicole Pallas of Greensboro, NE; and a grandson, Christopher Lane of Las Vegas, NV; two step-daughters, Carol Williams of Upper Marlboro, MC and Virginia Murphy of South Paris; a step-son, David Ragland of Virginia; three step-grandchildren, Chip Williams and Michelle Williams of MD and Carrie Hayden of Lewiston; one great-grandson; and three step-great-grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews of MD. He was predeceased by a brother, John; and a step-granddaughter, Laura Williams. Memorial services will be held on Monday, February 21, 2000 at 1:00 p.m., at the Weston-Chandler Funeral Home, 45 Main St., South Paris, ME, with the Rev. Henry Male officiating. Proffer -- Gail C. Proffer, 61, a resident of Albuquerque, died Monday, February 21, 2000. Storm -- Ramona Mary Storm, 81, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past year, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2000. Ramona had been a writer up until her death. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Gayle Storm Tanaka Montoya. Ramona is survived by three children, Todd R. Storm of Rochester, NY, Jill Storm Dougherty of Rio Rancho and Randall Storm of Lakewood, CO; two sisters, Phyllis Simon of Gary, IN and Adrienne Steinorth of Deerfield, IL; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Aurelia, Dayna, Heather, Chad, Sara, Nick, and Benjamin; one great-grandchild, Cassy; special friends,"Sunny" Larue Storm, Charles DelCurto and Margaret Lang. Tarman -- Annabelle Mae Tarman, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, canine aficionado and friend to many, died February 16, 2000. Annabelle was born in Las Animas, Colorado, on May 9, 1926. She lived her early years in Paonia, Colorado, with her mother and father, Jessie and Olen C."Jack" Tarman; her sister, Phyllis; and her beloved dog, Pat. The family moved to Denver in 1943 and Annabelle graduated from Edgewater High School in 1944. She graduated from Mercy Hospital Nursing School in 1946 and became a Sister of Mercy, ministering to many, as she continued to do throughout her life. She furthered her nursing career while she was a Sister of Mercy, earning her registered nurse anesthetist certification. Her life changed in 1950 when she began working in private hospital nursing at National Jewish Hospital in Denver. She also held positions at Mercy Hospital and Colorado General Hospital before moving to Albuquerque in the early 1970's. She worked as a nurse anesthetist at Presbyterian Hospital and other hospitals until her retirement in 1992. Annabelle was a very active member of the Rio Grande Kennel Club and showed her three Yorkshire Terriers,"Nemo","Sunny" and"Archie." Nemo was officially recorded a champion by the American Kennel Club in 1995. Annabelle donated her body to the University of New Mexico Medical School for research purposes. She requested that no memorial or service be held. However, remembrance contributions may be made to a dog charity, a medical research foundation or by planning a tree for love. She is survived by her sister, Phyllis Tarman Dodd of Denver; and her niece, D'Anne Dodd Huot of Northridge, CA; and her three dogs. Over 30 people associated with the Rio Grande Kennel Club have said they will provide homes for Annabelle's Yorkies. The Dodd/Huot family appreciates all the love and concern expressed by Annabelle's many, many friends.

Torres -- Fernando C. Torres, 23, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on February 20, 2000. Fernando was the beloved son to Robert and Jackie Torrez. He is also survived by his fiancee, Francene Mora; three daughters, Marissa, Alyssia and Destine; two sisters, Roberta Mora and husband, Rick and Angela Torres and fiance, Anthony Gutierrez; special cousin, Robert Romero Jr.; maternal grandmother, Viola Lopez; Godfather, Jerry Torres; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Fernando was a member of the Catholic Church, he loved his daughters, was an avid Cowboy's fan; he was loving, kind and will be missed by all. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday evening in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, with visitation after 6:30 p.m. Gabriella Nieto reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning, 10:00 a.m., at the St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, with viewing at the church after 9:30 a.m. Father Nieto Celebrant. Vigil -- Jessie Milton Vigil passed away on Friday, February 18, 2000 in Albuquerque. He is survived by his brother, John Henry Otero and his wife, Mary West Otero and their four sons, Steven Jordan, John Vigil Jr., Mark Vigil and Paul Vigil. Jessie was a veteran of the United States Army and was in the Elite Army Unit, the Green Berets. He was a paratrooper. Jessie will be sorely missed by his family, who loved him very much. Services will be held at the International All Faith Center, 217 Iron SW, Albuquerque. Pastor Ernest Francia will conduct the service at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 23, 2000.
