Obituary for Garcia

Richard"Wayne" Garcia, 48, was in an automobile accident and went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2000. He was born in Pueblo on May 3, 1951 and currently lived in Albuquerque. He was employed as Payroll Manager for Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1974. He was 1969 graduated of Pueblo South High and the University of Southern Colorado in 1976. His wit and humor will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was a friend of Bill W. for the past 13 years. He is survived by his children, Desi and Brandi Garcia of Albuquerque; parents, Jerry and Helen Garcia of Pueblo; grandmother, Agnes Vallejos of Walsenburg; brothers and sisters, Gerald (Frances) Garcia of Pueblo, Anna (LeRoy) Payne of Aurora, Bill (Michelle) Garcia of Arvada, Loraine Aranda of Pueblo, Janice Garcia of Pueblo, Greg (Jacki) Garcia of Pueblo, Charles (Kim) Garcia of Pueblo; special friends, Jackie Garcia, Jean Bierner and their families; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and friends. Preceded in death by grandparents, Abelino and Delia Garcia, Benito Vallejos; and sister, Joanne Garcia. Viewing will be Monday at Imperial Funeral Home, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Vigil at 7:00 p.m., Monday; Funeral Mass, Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., both at Holy Family Parish. Father Jesse Perez officiating. Interment to follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens. Military Honors by the Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team. Family will receive relatives and friends in the parish hall immediately following both services. Arrangements for memorial services in Albuquerque are pending.
