Franz -- ORA MAY FRANZ OCTOBER 30th, 1903 - JUNE 2nd, 1999I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength and I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come down to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says,"There she's gone. Gone where?" Gone from my sight...that is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and just as able to bear her load of living freight to the place of destination. Her diminished size is in me, not in her, and just at the moment when someone at my side says,"There! She's gone," there are other voices ready to take up the glad shout,"There she comes!" and that is dying. Ora May,"Nan" Franz, a resident of Albuquerque since 1978, slipped away peacefully on Wednesday, June 2nd. She is survived by her son, Norman Franz; two grandsons, Tom Franz and wife, Cindy, David F. Brown; two granddaughters, Pamela Orner and husband, Ed and Mary Anne Russo. She also leaves behind ten great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She helped us lay our moral foundations and always reminded us to"take a receipt for your experience." She will be remembered with love and smiles. Private services are pending. The family would like to send special thanks to the staff of Valle Norte Caring Center and Sandia Hospice for their care and support.

Whatever part the Lord had you play to console our hearts, we thank you so much, and my He bless each one of you. The family of Luis Garcia. French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
