Miyoshi -- Isamu Miyoshi, 88, beloved husband, father and grandfather, and a resident of Albuquerque for 3 months, died Thursday, June 3, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Michie; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Geri; daughter-in-law, Sandi; granddaughters, Dina, Christie, Laurie, Lani and Wendie; great-grandson, Caleb; brother, Kenneth; and numerous nephews and nieces. Sam, who endeared himself to all he met with his sharp intellect and kind manner, dedicated 40 years of his life to educating Hawaii's youth. He spent the last 19 years of his career as principal of Kauai High School, whose library bears his name. He was, in every respect, a true leader in the Kauai community, as an active member of the Lion's Club, and member of the Board of Directors of several service organizations. Sam and Michie moved to Albuquerque to be near their son, Dennis, who works at Sandia Labs, and his family, in March of this year. Private disposition has taken place.
