Obituary for Patten

James"Pat" Patten, 90, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, June 3, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Helen Patten; son, John Patten; granddaughters, Valerie Cook and husband, Gordon, Monica Patten and Melanie Patten; and great-granddaughter, Helen Chavez, all of Albuquerque. Mr. Patten worked for Albuquerque Indian School for over 35 years. He was a certified Doctor of Motors. Mr. Patten was a decendent of Cochise. He was a former member of Gideons International. Mr. Patten was an avid fisherman and he invented the"jet" lure. Services will be held Monday, 1:00 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1100 Indian School NE, with Pastor Melinda Wagner officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Sunday, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
