Kennedy -- Donna Jean Kennedy, 37, longtime Santa Fe resident, died in a fatal car accident in Las Cruces in the early morning of May 28, 1999. Donna was born in Houston, TX on March 16, 1962, was a 1980 graduate of Santa Fe High School, and had studied pharmacology at UNM and TVI. Donna had made her residence in Las Cruces for the past three years, helping care for her grandfather and great-uncle, Lewis. Donna is survived by her parents, Donald G. Kennedy of Santa Fe and Mary A. Loomis of Elephant Butte; sisters, Ramona Kennedy Efird, her husband, Lloyd, and daughters, Jessica Lynn and Amanda Renee of Grass Valley, CA; Rebecca J. Kennedy of Houston, TX and Cinda L. Kennedy of Santa Clara, CA; surviving brothers, Ronald L. Kennedy, his wife Judy, son, Joshua Lee, and daughter, Jamie Ann of Westmont, NJ, and brother, Michael W. Curtin of New Iberia, LA and his children, Melissa Rose and Michael Jay; extended family members include, Betsy and Stuart Meerscheidt; William J. and Melissa Loomis, Jr.; Patricia Kennedy Lappe; Dorothy Kennedy Torres; Richard and Nadine Kennedy; and Shirley Kennedy. Also Sherry Kennedy Brown; Peggy Kennedy Cowder; John Kennedy; Larry Kennedy; Wayne Fincke; Kenny Fincke; Caroline Fincke; Jason Armijo; Jessica Armijo; Sean Kennedy; Marilynn, Jim, Mary Therese and Stuart Morris; Janette and Charles Brunt; Paul Loomis; Jay Loomis and John Loomis. Memorial services were held at the Elephant Butte Lake home of her maternal grandfather, William J. Loomis, Sr. on Monday, May 30, and at the Elks Lodge in Santa Fe on Thursday, June 3rd, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Donna's name may be made to the Kelly Clark Memorial Fund at the Bank of the Southwest at T or C, P.O.
