Baca -- Amalia Baca, 87, a resident of Veguita, NM, passed away on October 8, 1998. She was a member of San Juan Catholic Church in Veguita. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She also enjoyed quilting and sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Evaristo and Luisa Baca; three brothers, Cristobal, Domingo, and Boleslo Baca; one foster sister, Anuncia Chavez. She is survived by one brother, Berada Baca of Veguita; one sister, Mary B. Sanchez and her husband, Felix of Belen; two nieces and two nephews who she raised, Dolores and her husband, Benny Cruz, Gilbert and his wife, Betty Baca, Lilly Baca, Paul and his wife, Melinda Baca. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews who she loved very much. She made her home with her niece, Lilly. Viewing will be held on Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Romero Funeral Home, main chapel, in Belen. Rosary will be held on Sunday, 7:00 p.m., at San Juan Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, 10:00 a.m., with Father Bill Sanchez officiating. Interment will follow at the Veguita Catholic Cemetery. Criner -- Gary D. Criner, 56, a resident of Albuquerque for five years, died Thursday, October 8, 1998. He is survived by his wife of 35 years in February, Frances Criner; two daughters, Cynthia L. Criner of Clemont, FL and Tracy L. Dowell and husband, Daniel of Cedar Crest, NM; two sons, G. David Criner of Layton, UT and Jason Parks Criner of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; one grandson, Ross Emerson of Clemont, FL; parents, Jack Criner and wife, Marion of Spring Hill, FL; and one brother, Dennis J. Criner and wife, Donna of Schererville, IN. Mr. Criner had a career with Borden/Meadow Gold Dairies for 35 years. He began as a staff accountant and worked to the position of CFO. D'angelo -- Maria Tripodi D'Angelo, 85, a resident of Albuquerque for 32 years and the matriarch to many families and a blessing on the earth to all who entered her 85 years of life is gone. She will be remembered by her only sister, sister-in-law, cousins, son and daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She came to America in 1926 from Italy at the age of 13 with her mother, Domenica Tripodi and her younger sister, Domenica ("Dottie") and brother, Carmine ("Charlie"). Her youngest, and only surviving sister, Natalie was later born here in America. In 1931 she married Joe D'Angelo. They had three sons, Dominic, who died after 5 days, Vince D'Angelo, an Albuquerque attorney, who preceded her in death in 1992 and Saverio ("Sami"). She moved to Albuquerque in 1966 where she spent her remaining 32 years. Her love of family gatherings, cooking, and sewing were a joy we all loved and shared. I wish to thank Ann Candelaria D'Angelo Snail whom she loved; her most beloved Catherine Zimmerman D'Angelo, the daughter she never had, and also Sharon for all the beloved grandchildren they gave her. Dickson -- Gwendolyn W. Dickson, 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1946, died Friday, October 9, 1998. She is survived by her daughters, Denis Norlander and husband, Bill and Dana McCausland all of Albuquerque; grandsons, Matthew McCausland of Albuquerque, Damon McCausland of Ft. Collins, CO, and Daniel Norlander of Albuquerque; and dear friends, Phil and Charlotte Dailey, Jan Cummings, and DeAnn Filmer all of Albuquerque. Mrs. Dickson was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, William R. Dickson. She was born in Arizona Territory to a pioneer family. Mrs. Dickson resided on Sandia Base for 17 years. She was active in PTA, Girl Scouts, the Alter Guild at St. John's, and was an avid bridge player. She was a talented seamstress, collected antique china and glass, loved to fish, and enjoyed music and sports. Cremation has taken place and interment of cremains will take place in Phoenix, AZ. The family is grateful to the staff of St. Francis Place for providing care and a loving environment for her during the past two years. Griego -- Jordan Jacob Griego, beloved infant son of Joe and Shawntel Griego of Edgewood, NM, died Thursday, October 8, 1998. Jordan was born on August 25, 1995 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Hatch -- Dorothy N. Hatch, a resident of Albuquerque since 1989, died October 6, 1998. She was 93. Born and raised in Lexington, Massachusetts, she graduated from Smith College in 1926. She taught Latin in several Massachusetts high schools before her marriage to George C. Hatch. They raised their family in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, and she resumed high school teaching there after the children left home, teaching English for many years before her retirement. A lifelong member of the Universalist/Unitarian Church, she believed strongly in service to others. She was active in the Red Cross, her church AUW, a Senior Citizens group, the North Smithfield Garden Club, the library, and the Heritage Club; she also was a volunteer in literacy groups, teaching English to immigrants. She organized clothing and food drives, and with her late husband, George, spearheaded a drive which culminated in the establishment of the Ballou Home in Woonsocket for senior citizens. For years she and the family (including her brother, Dana, and sister-in-law, Louise Norris, of Orrs Island, Maine) enjoyed summers together on Bustins Island, located in Casco Bay, Maine; we all cherish these memories. The example she set with her life has been instrumental in helping shape the lives of her three children (Cynthia H. Brueck of Albuquerque, George L. Hatch of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, Gardner N. Hatch of Peoria, Illinois); eleven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Hendricks -- Robert Early Hendricks, resident of Albuquerque for 54 years, born August 24, 1911 in Newport, TN, passed away October 7, 1998. He was the son of the late Dr. Walter Scott Hendricks and May Early Hendricks. He was preceded in death by two brothers. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Leigh Bittick Hendricks of the family home for 45 years; two brothers, Walter Henderson Hendricks of Abingdon, VA and Evan Scott Hendricks and wife, Mary of Huntsville, AL; two sisters, Elizabeth Crow of Elizabethton, TN, Lillian Lyles and husband, Dr. Albert Lyles of Charlotte, NC; several nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee. He was employed by Delta Airlines of Monroe, LA and was an Air Route Traffic Controller in Cleveland, OH, Cincinatti, OH and Albuquerque. He later was an Engineer at Sandia National Laboratories. Mr. Hendricks was a member of Central United Methodist Church, the Sons of the American Revolution, the Sons of Confederate Veterans, the Military Order of the Stars and Bars, and the Zia Sun Dial Clock Club. A family memorial service will be held at a later date in Adingdon, VA. Interment of the cremains will be at Holston Conference Cemetery of the United Methodist Church in Emory, VA. Those who desire, may make a memorial contribution to the Central United Methodist Church in Albuquerque or to the Animal Humane Association. Cremation services were performed by the Sunrise Society, 891-8200.

Henneman -- Anne L. Henneman, 87, a resident of Albuquerque, since 1987, died Thursday, October 8, 1998. She is survived by her sister, Kathryn Henneman Peloquin and husband, Paul of Albuquerque; nieces, Dr. Christine Braden and husband, Gary of Los Alamitos, CA, Mariann Peloquin-Croucher and husband, Dr. Doug Croucher of Boulder, CO, Theresa Dietrich of Kodiak, AK, and Patricia Lester of Bemidji, MN; nephews, Dr. Paul M. Peloquin and wife, Reva of San Anselmo, CA, Phillip Peloquin and wife, Mary of Colorado Springs, CO, Dr. Steven Peloquin and wife, Leslie of Manhattan, KS, John Dietrich and wife, Cindy of Onalaska, WI and Fritz Dietrich of Cadott, WI. The three priorities in her life were family, church, and education. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church and Legion of Mary. Ms. Henneman was preceded in death by her parents, Marie and Fred Henneman; brothers, Robert Henneman and wife, Pauline, Eugene Henneman and wife, Loretta; sister, Ellamae Dietrich and husband, Edward; niece, local attorney Kathy P. Dockweiller. Ann's interesting life took her to all parts of the world from Alaska, China, Manchuria, Japan, Korea, all of Europe, and many South American countries plus Mexico. She was quite a linguist when employed with the United States Department in Washington, DC, WWII War Crimes in Neuerenberg, Germany as a court reporter, as well as the Japanese Trials. Ann graduated with a BA degree from Wisconsin University at Eau Clair and earned a MA degree in History from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. She was also assistant chief of Health, Education and Welfare in Washington from which she retired and moved to Albuquerque in 1987. Ipiotis -- Ted Ipiotis, age 74, of Santa Fe, died on Friday, October 9, 1998, in Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by parents, James and Anastasia Ipiotis. Mr. Ipiotis was born in Albuquerque on October 25, 1923. He married his wife, Josephine, in Kansas in 1952. He attended the Citadel and served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He then moved to Santa Fe where he owned and operated the Plaza Lounge until 1968. He was also employed by the State of New Mexico for 10 years. He was a hard worker and a good businessman. A compassionate man, he was always there for others in times of trouble. He had a great love of adventure which included traveling, taking his children and grandchildren to Greece. Mr. Ipiotis was very proud of his heritage and instilled this pride in his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Josephine; his beloved children, Gary Ipiotis, Sophie Ipiotis, Marcie Abeyta and husband, Joseph, Chris Ipiotis and wife, Molly, Jackie Morales and husband, Santiago, Joanna Ipiotis, James Ipiotis, Dianna Jones and husband, Del; sister, Mary Daltroff and husband, Shields, of Pagosa Springs, CO; 20 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and cousins, John and Paul Piotis of South Africa, Tony Collyvas of Plomari, Greece, Stratoula Mihaleli, Plomari, Greece. Lawler -- Harvey Alexander Lawler, 84, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1979 died Wednesday, October 7, 1998. He is survived by Ruby, his wife of 57 years; six children; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother, Robert C. Lawler and wife, Josephine of Cudahy, WI; and his aunt, Helen Gamroth of Crystal Lake, IL. Mr. Lawler was retired from Marquette University, in Milwaukee. He was a former member of the Rio Rancho Rock Hounds and the New Mexico Faceters Guild. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 10:00 a.m., at the First Baptist Church in Rio Rancho, (3906 19th Ave.), where he was a member. McAuley -- Eugene D. McAuley, born February 27, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA, died October 7, 1998 in Albuquerque. He is survived by his wife, Leona; step-daughter, Michelle Chavez; daughters, Krista and Lauren; son, Andrew; sisters, Eunice Collins and husband, Don of Evanston, IL and Susan McCullough and husband, Mike of New York, NY; brothers, Jerry of New York, NY and Kevin of Evanston, IL; aunts, Brigid McCauley of Philadelphia, PA, Annie Ferry of Co. Donegal, Ireland; and uncle, Francis McCauley of Sydney, Australia. Mr. McAuley was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mary, who emigrated from Ireland. In 1979, after obtaining a Masters degree from the University of New Mexico, he joined the staff of the Association for Retarded Citizens of Albuquerque (ARCA) where he worked until his death. At ARCA, Gene was instrumental in setting up programs crucial to improving the living standards of persons with disabilities. He was a board member of Alta Mira Specialized Family Services and a consultant to Casa Angelica. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 7:00 p.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Pl. Panagakos -- Marilyn Joan Panagakos, 68, died October 7, 1998 in Albuquerque. She was born January 12, 1930 in Cleveland, OH, to Edward and Neva Smith Uhl. She was a resident of Albuquerque for 38 years. As an active member of the Republican Party, she co-chaired the presidential campaign of Barry Goldwater in Bernalillo County in 1964 and also worked for the party after the campaign. She served as the Director of Collections for the New Mexico Bureau of Revenue-Bernalillo County Region, and also owned and operated Encore Clothing. She retired from Modrall Law Firm as a legal assistant in 1997. She was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Anthony Panagakos of Albuquerque; a daughter, Koren L. Walston and her husband, Kenneth of Albuquerque; a son, Peter Edward Panagakos and wife, DeDe of Rio Rancho; two brothers, Raymond Uhl and wife, Lee of Ohio and Edward Uhl, Jr. and wife, Jeanette of Wisconsin; and two grandchildren, Lindsay Ann and Brandon Anthony Panagakos. Robinson -- Joseph Dent Robinson, Jr. passed away Thursday, October 1, 1998, at his home in Albuquerque. He was born in Albuquerque July 27, 1936, where he spent most of his life. He was a service station manager, but was especially known for his intricate carvings of local birds. Tackett -- Martha Dee Brownfield Tackett, born August 6, 1915 to Alva Dee Brownfield and Matti Harris Brownfield at the Harris Ranch, next to the A.B. Falls Ranch, Three Rivers, New Mexico, died at her home in Albuquerque on October 9, 1998. Although she struggled with cancer during the last four months of her life, she remained ever cheerful, and steadfast in her faith, to the end. Although Dee Tackett graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1936, majoring in English, she never stopped learning and studying and remained a student until the day she died. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and the Junior League, but her most important involvement, outside of her family and friends, was her life in the church. She was a longtime member of St. Mark's on the Mesa Episcopal Church, where she served on the vestry, was a member of the alter guild, worked on diocesan projects, and was active in Seniors and many study and prayer groups, especially the Tuesday morning Communion Group, which she attended almost every Tuesday for the last 16 years. She is survived by her children, Dee Tackett O'Neill of Tucson and her husband, Dan, Ann Policastro of Albuquerque, Paula Tackett of Santa Fe, Paul Winston Tackett of Albuquerque and his wife, Mary Todd (Toddy); several grandsons and granddaughters, Donald Edgar Kilgore IV (Kedin) of New York and his wife, Kimberly Neuhaus, Erin O'Neill and her husband-to-be, Rob Balkind of Greensboro, North Carolina, Christopher Paul Kilgore of Albuquerque, Bonnie Kilgore of Albuquerque, Jennifer O'Neill of Tucson, and Michael Policastro of Albuquerque; two great-grandsons, Jacob and Andrew Kilgore; and countless much cherished cousins, nephews and nieces. All will miss her gentle grace and never-failing love and support. She was preceded in death by her husband, former Supreme Court Justice, Paul Tackett; her mother and father; and her beloved sisters and brothers, Elizabeth Nunn, Jane Skinner and Alva Dee (Sonny) Brownfield. Cremation will take place as she requested.
