Obituary for Herrera

Celia Gurule Herrera, a resident of Albuquerque and a former resident of Espanola, New Mexico passed away Friday, October 9, 1998, following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jose Longino Gurule; second husband, Arthur Herrera; two grandchildren, Dianna Rodriguez and Alex Giron; son-in-law, Eddie Giron. She is survived by her children, Claudina Giron of La Mesilla, Joe H. (Gudo) Gurule and wife, Theresa of Albuquerque, Levi (Gudito) Gurule and wife, Eva of Espanola, Betty Green and husband, Ralph of Albuquerque, Ross Gurule and wife, Marge of Albuquerque, Vivian Covert and husband, Wayne of Denver, CO; 16 grandchildren, Cathy Bustos and husband, David of El Llano, Edwina Sanchez and husband, Lonnie of Santa Cruz, Larry Gurule, Gino Gurule, Veronica Barela and husband, Ernest, Kevin Gurule and wife, Dawn all of Albuquerque, Randy Gurule of Espanola, Lisa Duran and husband, Kenny of Hernandez, Mario Gurule of Espanola, Keith Green and wife, Antoinette, Curtis Green and wife, Rochelle, Cindy Green, Rene Jurado and husband, Balto, Sandra Ramos and husband, Adrian all of Albuquerque and Monica and Glenda Covert of Denver, CO; 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. and a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 1998, in the Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary in Espanola. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 12, 1998, at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Espanola. Fr. Augustine Moore will celebrate the mass. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Espanola. Serving as pallbearers will be, Edwina Sanchez, Veronica Barela, Lisa Duran, Cindy Green, Sondra Ramos and Glenda Covert.
