A.M. (Buck) Jackson, 89, a resident of Albuquerque since 1981, died on Thursday, October 8, 1998, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Jackson was born on Monday, May 12, 1909 in Midland, TX. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Joyce Jackson of Albuquerque; son, Bob Jackson and wife, Ruby of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Betty Tierney and husband, Daniel of Beeville, TX, Rosemary Stakvel and husband, Curley of Cedar Crest, Lee Jackson of Houston, TX, Paula Hayden and husband, Jeff of Albuquerque, Laura Wood and husband, Woody of Beeville, TX, and Rex Jackson and wife, Julie of Austin, TX; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Bill Jackson; and grandson, Jay Morgan Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a member of Central United Methodist Church. Services will be held Monday, October 12, 1998, 2:00 p.m., at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Dr. Charles Crutchfield officiating. Entombment will follow at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas NE, Sunday, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Jackson's memory to Central United Methodist Church, 1615 Copper NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106.
