GEORGE, EARLE E. JR. Earle Emmett George Jr. was born November 19, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan to Earle E. Sr. and Lily Ruth Moon George. After 90 years of full life and service, he peacefully joined our Lord and Savior on January 9, 2015. Earle spent his lifetime in the pursuit of knowledge graduating from Stevens Tech as a Professional Engineer, working for Western Union in NYC, Sandia Corporation for 23 years, and UNM for 15 years. Earle served in the Navy during WWII. After retiring, Earle and Jean moved from Albuquerque where they had lived from 1948 to 1984 to Elephant Butte for the next 20 years. Earle was very active in the community: serving on the Board of Sierra Electrical Coop, T or C and Elephant Butte Zoning and Planning Boards and other community Boards, as an officer in many fraternal organizations, and as an active member of the Volunteer Fire Department and Lake Search and Rescue. He served as a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary for 33 years, serving as Flotilla Commander and Radio Officer for the Elephant Butte State Park. Earle is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jean Louise Rogers George; their four children; son, William and his wife, Nancy and their two sons, Michael and Jacob; daughter, Georgia Kitt and her husband, Larry McKown, and their two daughters, Elizabeth and Michelle and her daughters MacKenzie and Emma Rae, son, James and his wife, Karen, daughter, Linda and her husband, Hollis L. Wilson II and their children, Hollyanna, and her husband Ron Hooks and their children Logan and Ella, Hollis III and his wife, Julie, and their children Arlo, Eve, and Seth, and his wife Marissa and their children Bayla, and Solomon; brother, George Alfred and his wife Carol; nephews, Jonathan and Jeffery and their children; and many other loving relatives and friends. Services will be held at Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel on Tuesday, January 13 at 1pm, with Visitation at 12:30pm. Burial will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery. GENTZ, AGNES VERONICA 1916-2015 Agnes V. Gentz, age 98, of Franklin, formerly of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Ruth Hospice in West Allis, WI. She was born in Pine River, WI on August 16, 1916, the daughter of the late Francis and Margaret Barden VanState. Agnes married Antone Orlowski, he preceded her in death in 1969, she later married John R. Gentz, and he preceded her in death in 2011. Agnes owned and operated her own Real Estate Business for many years. While living in Kenosha she attended St. James Catholic Church. Agnes enjoyed traveling, collecting antiques and gardening. She is survived by her two children, Patrick (Carolyn) Orlowski of Neillsville, WI, Ann (Kent) Bieganski of Greenfield, WI; three step children, Steven (Karen) Gentz of Albuquerque, NM, Lena (Larry) Stephens of Albuquerque, NM, and Chris Gentz of Rio Rancho, NM; five grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; and many step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Orlowski and her four brothers and sisters. ANAYA, MAXINE R. Maxine R. Anaya, 84, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 8, 2015. She was a Mayadorma at San Jose de Duranes for 20 years. She was also a member of the Blue Army. She took part in the Passion of Christ service at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church which is held on Good Friday. A tradition that was started by the Anaya Family. Maxine was born to Max Ramirez Sr. and Teresita Gonzales Ramirez on August 18, 1930. Maxine is preceded in death by her husband Jose F. Anaya Sr. and a son Raymond D. Anaya. She is survived by her loving children; Jose F. Anaya Jr. and wife Pauline, Jerry A. Anaya Sr. and wife Marlene and Rosemary K. Archuleta and husband Philip; 1 brother Max Ramirez Jr. and wife Rita; 2 sisters Margaret R. Sanchez and Becky Lovato; 13 grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends. Maxine will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Maxine's Life Celebration will begin with a Viewing on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at San Jose de Duranes Mission Church, 2110 Los Luceros NW, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. also at San Jose de Duranes. MARTINEZ, TERESA RAFAELA PADILLA age 87, born in Los Padillas, New Mexico to Rafael and Demesia Padilla, passed away peacefully in her childhood home on Monday, January 5, 2015. Teresa was a lifelong New Mexico Educator, beginning her teaching career at the elementary level in San Rafael, New Mexico. She later taught for over twenty years in the Los Lunas Public Schools and loved helping children learn. Teresa became an avid traveler, when upon graduation from Albuquerque High School, Class of 1945,she visited Niagara Falls and New York City with her sisters. Throughout her later years, Teresa traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Holy Land, Mexico and the United States. She loved meeting new people from around the world and hearing about their lives. Teresa received a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1948 from the Catholic Teachers College of New Mexico, later known as the University of Albuqueque. Teresa was a devoted, lifetime member of the Catholic Church and a member of the Legion of Mary, serving in a leadership role throughout her tenure, and a member of the People's Eucharistic League. Teresa was also involved as a Lay Minister with Church of the Ascension, her home parish. She relished the opportunity to serve the church in this capacity. Teresa is survived by a daughter, Dr. Berlinda Martinez-Gallegos and husband, Gilbert of Tega Cay, South Carolina; son Richard Martinez and wife, Gerri; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sisters in law, Predicanda Padilla, Lina Padilla, Alma Martinez, and Stella Ortega; brother in law, Jose Aramante Martinez Jr.; numerous nieces, and nephews, including State Senator Michael Padilla, New Mexico Cabinet Secretary of Taxation and Revenue, Demesia Padilla, and former Secretary of State, Clara Padilla-Andrews; and a host of friends. Teresa was preceded in death by her husband, Ricardo Martinez; her son, Rafael (Ralph) Martinez; parents, Rafael and Demesia Padilla; sisters, Andrea Chavez, Cleotilde (Cleo) Garcia, and Celestina Lopez; brothers, Julian, Ralph, Carmel, and Desiderio (Phil) Padilla. MCMASTER, RAY Ray McMaster passed from this life on January 2, 2015 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born in Buffalo, New York. He was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Pauline McMaster, his parents, Reese and Katherine McMaster, his brother, Robert McMaster, and two beloved daughters, Diane Rae McMaster and Deborah McMaster Kopet. He is survived by two sons Larry and Ray Jr.; his beloved grandson Dennis McCrudden and wife Connie of Alhambra, CA; and his beloved great-granddaughters Abigail and Alyssa McCrudden. He is also survived by so many other special grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, his sisters-in-law and brothers-in law. He was a resident of Cerritos, California for 45 years where he met his wife Pauline. Ray proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean war, in intelligence. He began a civilian career as a Senior Draftsman in Landscape Engineering for the City of Buffalo, NY. After several years, he relocated to Southern California where he continued his career in construction as Senior Estimator and District Manager and eventually formed McMaster Construction until his retirement in 2003. Ray will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank Ambercare and Guided Light for his care. Rosary will be held at 8am with the Mass following at 9am on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin, 9502 4th Street, at the corner of 4th and Alameda.

FREEDMAN, SYLVIA Our mom, Sylvia Freedman, was born on August 20, 1923. Mom passed away at 5:19 in the afternoon on Friday, December 26, 2014. It was snowing. She was well into her 91st year on this planet. Sylvia was born and raised in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area of Pennsylvania. Her family moved to New York City when she was a teenager. Sylvia finished her schooling at DeWitt Clinton High School. She met our dad when they both worked at the IRS. They married, raised a family of 3 boys in the Bronx. Over the years Teddy, Mark, Larry, mom and dad moved and resettled in New Mexico. We loved our mom very much! She had many friends and family who loved her as well. She loved her dog PeeWee, as did her whole neighborhood! Mom instilled in us the values that helped us to be better people. Those values will be with us forever. We will miss you mom. You were the greatest. Dad will be glad to have you back. We love you mom! Our mom, Sylvia Freedman, is survived by her three sons, Ted, Mark and Larry; her two grandchildren, Barak and Sahar, (Mark's children); her daughter-in-law Lorraine Palmer (Ted's wife); and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members. We will all miss mom. The Burial Service will take place on Thursday, January 8th at 10:30am at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. A Memorial Service will take place from 1:30 to 3:30 at Ronald Gardenswartz Jewish Community Center in Albuquerque, 5520 Wyoming Blvd. on Friday, January 9th.
