GARCIA- -- Tillie Lesperance Garcia, age 80, went to be with our Lord in heaven on Friday, February 27, 2009. She was born on January 29, 1929. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Maria Lesperance; brothers Paul and Art Lesperance. She is survived by her three daughters, Betty Jaramillo and husband Randy, Pauline Epperson and husband LeRoy, and Rose (Weda) Garcia; two sons, Anthony Garcia and Art Garcia; her beloved grandchildren, Michelle Lujan and husband Henry, Danny Baker, Joseph Garcia, Melissa Epperson Aguilar and husband Robert, Kristina Epperson, Jeremy Garcia; twelve great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; four sisters, Julia Gonzales, Patsy Garcia, Isabel Valtierra, and Carmen Rodriguez and husband Johnny; and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2009 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services Coal Chapel 1100 Coal Ave. SE. LUJAN -- MaryJane Lujan April 24, 1952 - February 23, 2009 MaryJane was born in Albuquerque. She was raised in the North Valley. She graduated from Valley High School in 1970. MaryJane was very special and was loved by all who knew her. She leaves behind a grieving husband of 36 years Richard Lujan; their two sons Andres and Fabian; two brothers, Gregory and Arthur McCoy; and six very precious grandchildren. Also many family members. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert McCoy; her parents Andy and Jessie McCoy; and her sister Vangie Trujillo. Cremation has taken place. There will be a Rosary at 8:00 a.m. with a Mass in her memory following at 9:00 on March 2, 2009 at The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin 9502, 4th St NW.

MAHLER -- Annelise Mahler, born May 2, 1920 passed away on February 21, 2009 after a brief illness. Ms. Mahler was born in Berend, a small village near Schleswig in northern Germany. She immigrated to the United States in 1953 and became a U. S. citizen in 1958. She resided in southern California for many years and moved to Albuquerque in the late 1990s. For the last 2 years, she lived at Princeton Place Nursing Center. She was preceded in death by her only daughter, Renate Mahler, who passed away in 2003. She is survived by her cousin, Frauke Holtorf of Flensburg, Germany; and her close friends in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, NM, Mark Parshall, Diane Lujan, and Mary Lou Sorenson. A Burial Service will be held Saturday, February 28, 2009, 2:00 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd, NE, Albuquerque 87107. JENNINGS -- Patricia K. Jennings May 26, 1955 to February 14, 2009 Patricia K Jennings died peacefully at her home Saturday morning, February 14, 2009 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her beloved husband, Timothy Zeph Jennings, her children Courtney Ikard, Elliott Ikard and his wife Melanie, Katherine Ikard, Zeph Jennings and Zachary Jennings, her mother Marilyn Burcham and her husband Neil, her father Doug Berryman and his wife Margaret, her sister Fredda Blair and her husband Rick, her brother Doug Berryman and his wife Rhonda, her brother Dan Berryman, her brother Joel Berryman and his wife Tish and her sister Shelley Petersen and husband Eric. She is also survived by Frances Jennings, James Jennings, Jr., Mary Maloney, John Jennings, Thomas Jennings and Carol Rolfs, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to express a special thanks and appreciation to close friends Geneva Bailey, Debbie Armstrong and Michelle Lujan Grisham for their love and care. Patty grew up in Amarillo, Texas but lived most of her life in New Mexico. She has been a resident of Roswell for twenty years. Patty was a golf enthusiast and enjoyed classical music, with a special fondness for pianist Douglas Montgomery. Patty had a distinguished career as an advocate for early intervention, special education and other services for children and families with special needs. She was instrumental in the creation of the New Mexico Medical Insurance Pool, providing health care coverage for New Mexicans who could not obtain or afford health insurance. She was also instrumental in obtaining funding for Inflammatory Breast Cancer Research and numerous other projects to support and enhance the quality of life for New Mexicans. Although Patty was known as a tireless advocate, the truth is her career was second to her love and passion for her family. A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 2:00 pm at the Roswell Convention Center. Pallbearers are Jason Sandel, Joe Andreis, Stuart Ingle, John Vincent Morgan, Jesse French, Bill Wolf, Bill Armstrong and Tom Jennings. Honorary Pallbearers are Andres Morales and Alfredo Gomez. ROYBAL -- Maria Tomasita S. Roybal, 76, went to be with our Lord on February 06, 2009. She was born on September 11, 1932. Maria was preceded in death by her father, Florindo Sanchez; mother, Aurora A. Lucero; sister, Marcella Martinez; and in laws, Mr. & Mrs Roybal; sister in law, Dolores Roybal. She is survived by her husband Gilbert A. Roybal; six sisters, Ambrosia Sanchez and family, Flora Rice and husband, Jerry, Tina Ulibarri and husband, Tony, Viola Lopez and family, Mary Lucero and family, and Charlotte Lucero and family; three brothers Casey Lucero and family, Salvador Lucero and family, and Jose David Lucero; brother in laws Gerald Roybal, Ray Roybal and wife Carolina and family. She is also survived by a special aunt, Ellie Lucero, nieces, nephews, friend, cousins, and one very special cousin, Barbara Lujan. Maria was a loving person who enjoyed having company, loved going to bingo, dancing and enjoyed life. Rosary will be held at Daniels Family Funeral Services on Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at 7:00 p.m.. CANDELARIA -- Neome Candelaria was born on December 5, 1928 to Ramona and Felipe Gutierrez. She lived for a time with her grandparents Felicita and Sisto Baca and her aunt Margaret Baca. She was a life-long resident of Los Griegos and Los Candelarias. She met Samuel Candelaria, the love of her life, in grade school. After Samuel's return from military service during World War II, he and Neome attended and graduated together from Albuquerque High School. They married October 7, 1946. They lived briefly in Williamsport, Pennsylvania and Kansas City, Kansas. Neome and Samuel enjoyed traveling abroad as well as in the United States. They traveled in Mexico and Europe, returning many times to France to visit friends. Neome was a devoted wife and mother of eight children to whom she dedicated her life. She belonged to Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish where she served in a number of ministries for much of her life. She and Samuel were sponsors for many couples in the Pre-Cana Program. Neome and Samuel also participated in weekly bible study groups. She belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society and the St. Vincent De Paul Society. She participated in the Senior Citizens program at the parish. Neome was a catechism teacher in the Religious Education program for many years and for which she was awarded the Saint Francis of Assisi Catechetical Award by Archbishop Sheehan. Neome was a member of the Sunshine Girls and helped to make baptismal garments for newborns. Her enduring faith in God was an inspiration to all who knew her. Neome also worked for many years and retired as an Educational Assistant in the Bilingual Program for Albuquerque Public Schools, first at Valle Vista Elementary School, and later Cochiti Elementary School. She is survived by her brothers, Candido Gutierrez and wife Pauline, Walter Gutierrez and wife Barbara, Sara Gutierrez, widow of Horacio Gutierrez and Jose L. Gutierrez and their families. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Edward Paul; her husband, Samuel; and her brother, Horacio Gutierrez. She is survived by seven children, Christina Candelaria, Candice Demar and husband Daniel, Samuel Candelaria and wife Marcella, Carol Ann Candelaria and husband Nick Fillah, Patrick Candelaria and wife Diana, Mary Hartley and husband Van, Consuelo Barry and husband Kevin. Her beloved grandchildren who survive her are Santiago Gutierrez and wife Carolyn, Danielle Carrillo and husband Brian, Catherine Lujan and husband Dax, Elizabeth DeMar, Nathaniel DeMar, Sara Tuey and husband Vinson, Gabriel Candelaria, Jared Candelaria, Rosanne Candelaria, Armando Candelaria, Dustin Hartley, Capree Hartley, Samuel Barry and Liam Barry and great grandson, Riker Lujan. The Rosary will take place Sunday, February 8, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW. The Funeral Mass will also be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 9, 2009. Interment will follow the Mass in Santa Fe at the National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Gutierrez, Gabriel Candelaria, Nathan DeMar, Armando Candelaria, Dustin Hartley, and Jared Candelaria. Honorary pallbearers will be Santiago Gutierrez, Samuel Barry and Liam Barry. There will be a reception following interment from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Duranes Church hall at the corner of Los Anayas and Los Luceros roads. The family would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to all our family and dear friends for their love and support. We especially want to thank Deacon Jim Delgado for his kindness, and Mary Frances Reza for her help in planning the music and the services. We also thank mothers caregivers for their devotion and companionship. Neome was a gracious and generous friend to all. She saw the good in everyone and supported her family in all their endeavors. MCCLOUD -- Burt J., age 86, a resident of Belen and formerly of Los Alamos went to be with our Lord on Friday, January 30, 2009. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart Council 3131. Burt proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII. He worked for Los Alamos National Laboratory for 34 years as an electronic technician working with computer instrumentation on satellite systems and space shuttles. Burt enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. He coached Little League and was a Boy Scout Leader. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Ollie and Eula Cate McCloud; brother, Gordon McCloud; half-brother, Ollie McCloud, Jr. and half-sister, Susan McCloud. Burt is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Lorencita McCloud Ortiz; two sons, Randal McCloud and wife, Yvonne and Byron McCloud and wife, Naomi; two daughters, Verna Escudero and husband, Dr. Gary Escudero and Dina Carnall and husband, Bruce; nine grandchildren, Heather Lukosky and husband, Chris, Gary Escudero, Jr. and wife, Stephanie, Holly Escudero and husband, Rob, Nichole Edwards and husband, Tanner, Candice McCloud, Carrie McCloud, Diego McCloud, Erica Carnall and Erin Carnall; great-grandson, Leonidas Lukosky; four half-sisters, Mossie Berkshire, Cecile Allison, Mary Kelly and Clara McCloud; two half-brothers, Charles McCloud and Lawrence McCloud; sister-in-law, Martina Vigil; and two brothers-in-law, Orlando Ortiz and wife, Anita and Clyde Ortiz and wife, Maria. He is also survived by his godfather, Charlie Lujan; and many, many loving nieces and nephews.
