ARCHULETA -- Christine Archuleta, 22, a resident of Colorado, died Monday, May 17, 2004. She is survived by her parents, Faustin and Ramona Archuleta; sister, Donna Iskandrani, all of Albuquerque; brother, Ron Archuleta of Scottsdale, AZ; aunts, uncles, cousins and many other family members and friends. Christine became a veterinary technician in Albuquerque at Pima Medical Institute. She was living in Denver, CO preparing to study to be a veterinarian, because of her love of animals. Christine touched many people's lives. Rosary will be recited Friday, 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE. EGAN -- Ann Egan, 78, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 30 years passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2004. Ann was born August 2, 1925 the daughter of Joseph and Angela Manzi DeMaio in Brooklyn, New York. She had been an Administrative Assistant in the banking and insurance industries before she retired. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Ann lead a colorful and varied life. She loved life and had a great sense of humor! As an avid dancer and music lover, Ann belonged to the Rio Ramblers square dancing group. She was an avid sports fan who loved following the UNM Lobos. Ann was a score keeper for Little League and she also enjoyed bowling. Ann was instrumental in establishing a recycling program in Rio Rancho. To that end, she was active with KEEP RIO RANCHO BEAUTIFUL, worked at the Public Library and was a hospital volunteer for five years at what is now West Mesa Medical Center. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Ann was preceded in death by one sister, Julie Devins. She is survived by her husband Thomas of Rio Rancho; four children, Donna Wood and husband Craig of Albuquerque; Kathleen Villarose and husband John of Orlando, FL; Mary Ellen Franklin and husband Dan of Bastrop, TX; Thomas J. Egan and wife Karen of Westin, FL; six grandchildren, Ann-Marie Villarose and Deanna Villarose, Keri and Kristin Franklin, Tyler, Amber Wood, Nikkie Barnett and Chelsie Middleton; one sister, Theresa Johnston and husband, Donald; brother-in-law, Edward Devins; sister-in-law Betty Larson; cousins, Dr. Donald Capra, George DeMaio, Lillian and Julia Gulotta, and Vincent Riehl and family; and nieces and nephews. MONTANO -- Louis (Louie) Montano, Jr. went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 10, 2004. Louie lived the final year of his life doing what he loved best - playing golf; being with family, especially the light of his life, Jaden Marie Montano; & fighting the cancer that took him from us. Louie was born August 6, 1948 in Magdalena, NM, grew up in Albuquerque & graduated from Rio Grande HS in 1967. After attending UNM for a year, he enlisted in the Navy & served his country in Vietnam Completing his tour in the Navy, he returned to Albuquerque to resume his place in his family - always helping. Louie was preceded in death by his father, Louis Montano, Sr. in 1974. He is survived by his mother Onice Montano, two sons Keith & Kenneth, & the light of his life - granddaughter, Jaden Marie. Oldest son of eight children, he is survived by his siblings, Dorothy Montano, Tommy Montano-wife Carmen, Nancy Montano, Donna Starustka, Joey Montano-wife Rita, Charles Montano, & Michelle Gendron-husband Dave. Also, surviving are his maternal aunt, Lena Chavez-husband Eddie, & paternal aunts & uncles, Frances Sanchez- husband Eloy, Santiago Carrillo surviving husband of Auntie Nana, Clorinda Montano surviving wife of Lino & Mela Montano surviving wife of Ernesto. His large & loving family includes numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins. He also leaves behind his life long friend & golf partner, Ken Corazza & many other friends whose lives he touched. The family can be visited & contacted at his mother's home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 18, 2004, at Our Lady of Guadalupe located at 1860 Griegos Rd. NW, followed by a military burial at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe at 3:00 p.m. A reception will proceed after the burial service at New Life City located at 4830 Pan American Fwy. NE, in Albuquerque. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the APS Celebrity Golf Extravaganza that benefits middle school athletics, a tournament that Louie participated in annually. COATES -- Mildred Louise passed away on Tuesday May 11, 2004. She's proceeded in death by her husband Francis E. Coates Sr. She is survived by her children, Nicholas M. Buono, Jr., Francis E. Coates, Jr., John E. Coates, Donna L. Coates, Donald J. Coates and Michael W. Coates. She is also survived by 15 Grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; four brothers; and one sister. Mildred was a Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother and will be missed dearly. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday May 15, 2004 at Riverside Funeral Home. BONACORSA -- Philip "Bono" Bonacorsa, 85, died on May 7, 2004. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Oaks Foxhunt Club in Lakeville, New York, co-owner of the Double "B" Harness Racing Stables in Yonkers, New York, a PHA Ringmaster of Equestrian Events in Long Island, New York, and owner of the Continental Motors in Great Neck, New York. He relocated to New Mexico in 1974 with AMREP to develop Rio Rancho. Later, he worked for Galles Chevrolet. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Bonacorsa; three children Paula Phagan and husband, Dale of Placitas, Donna Calles and Linda Fontaine and husband, Ed, of Albuquerque; brother Joseph Bonacorsa and wife, Mary of New Hyde Park, New York; grandchildren Lauren and David Blackmon, Karen and Steve Taylor, Sam and Marisa Vigil, Ryan Calles, Matthew Byers, Tracy and Michael Loftis, Edward and Cari Fontaine, and Carolyn and Michael Miller. He is also survived by his beloved nieces and nephews. Philip is preceded in death by his son Philip "Tip" Bonacorsa in 2000, his sisters, Natalie Konopacki and Frances Bonacorsa-D'Angelo; and a brother, Michael Bonacorsa. WORMAN -- Florence Koch Worman passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 10, 2004 at the Rio Rancho Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Florence was born on September 22, 1903 in Hewitt, Minnesota. Her parents were the Reverend Benjamin Franklin Koch and Blanche McElrath Koch. Florence was quite accomplished at sewing and knitting. Florence and her late husband, Vernon arrived in the Albuquerque area in 1956. Florence is survived by her son, Donald and wife, Donna of Rio Rancho, son, David and wife, Marlene of Endeavor, Wisconsin; daughter, Betty of Richmond, Virginia; 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon after over 60 years of marriage. DEARING -- Emily Jewel Dearing, age 92, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 9, 2004 at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque surrounded by her loving family. Emily was born March 20, 1912 in Texas to Elzie B. and Cordie Jaco. Her childhood years were spent growing up working with her parents and eleven brothers and sisters farming. She met the love of her life Floyd "Cheesey" Dearing and married in 1929. Emily and Cheesey were married for 45 happy years before he preceded her in death in 1974. Emily and Cheesey made their home in various places throughout the years while Cheesey farmed, worked on ranches, and road construction. Their first child, son Leo was born in Wellington, Texas, soon their daughter, Betty Jo followed as well as daughters, Wanda and Judy. Emily made her career as homemaker and was an expert seamstress and baker. She worked many years at the Albuquerque Livestock Auction, blessing hundreds of hungry cattlemen with her delicious homemade pies. She and Cheesey settled in Albuquerque in 1942, raising their children where they owned a livestock transport business, Floyd "Cheesey" Dearing Trucking for many years. She moved to Bosque Farms in 1976 and enjoyed her children and grandchildren very much. Two words best describe Emily, "family and love". Emily was devoted to her children and grandchildren and enjoyed making annual trips to Oklahoma City to visit her beloved family there. She started her own business in Bosque Farms, Emily's Stitch and Sew in 1976, later moving it to Los Lunas, and then retiring in 1980. She was a great supporter of New Mexico 4-H, sponsoring the Cheesey Dearing Memorial Hard Luck Cowboy and Hard Luck Cowgirl Award at the Bernalillo County 4-H Rodeo from 1975 - 1985. She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren show their 4-H Livestock at surrounding fairs and Junior and High School rodeos throughout the State of New Mexico. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and gardening. She and her quilting friends created many beautiful quilts, which are wonderful treasures to her family members. She was preceded in death by her parents Elzie B. and Cordie Jaco; two brothers, Claude and Herman Jaco, four sisters, Lorina Jaco, Ruby Mae Jaco, Dorothy "Bug" Jeans, and Maudie Grambling; daughter, Betty Jo Reigel; son, Leo D. Dearing; and grandson, Chuck Reigel. She is survived by her daughters, Wanda and husband, Wayne Gilcrease of Carlsbad, NM, Judy and husband, Dwayne Luce of Belen, son-in-law, Norman Reigel of Tucumcari, NM,; daughter-in-law, Cozette Dearing of Bosque Farms; sixteen grandchildren, Bobby Dearing of Albuquerque, Nancy Miller of Clovis, Cindy Hitchcock of Las Vegas, NV, Mike Riegel of Duncan, OK, Cheri Jamison of Albuquerque, Steve Bond of Albuquerque, Jimmy Dearing of Belen, Donna Donnell of Amarillo, TX, Billy King of Bent, Skipper Gilcrease of Carlsbad, Tommy Dearing of Albuquerque, Michele Wright of Stephenville, TX, Tammy Engle of Clint, TX, Jamie Rauch of Moses Lake, WA, Scott Gilcrease of Carlsbad and Amie Dearing of Bosque Farms; 36 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandsons.
