BACA -- Mike, born July 24, 1930, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Thursday, February 24, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was born in Sabinoso, NM, to Sacramento Baca and Annie Lujan Baca. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rosemarie. His children are Mike II and wife, Cynthia, Dominic and wife, Gina, and Monica Barreras and husband, Lawrence. His grandsons are Mike Baca III, Dominic Baca II, and his granddaughters are Rozlynne, Chantelle, Rochelle, Jasmine and Victoria. His two great-grandchildren are Biancha and Santino. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Sacramento and Annie Lujan Baca; his brothers, Charley and Leroy; his father and mother-in-law, Dominic and Lolly Blasi; sisters-in-law Annie Baca and Billie Baca; brothers-in-law, August Linbrugger and Lazaro Martinez. He is survived by his brothers, Secundino, Robert, Gilbert and wife Carolyn, Sacramento and wife, Bertha Rose, John and wife, Pam; his sisters, Eloisa Esquibel and husband, Albert, Helen Saccoman, Irene Linbrugger, Emma Gonzales and husband, Leo, Bertha Martinez, and Esther Self; his sisters-in-law, Margaret Baca, Geraldine Baca and numerous other relatives and friends. Mike was a veteran who served in the Korean War, and he was also a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. He was a retired industrial chemical salesman for Bidall Corp. He belonged to the Victory Hills Neighborhood Assoc. and enjoyed gardening, doing word search puzzles, and watching sports on TV, but most of all loved playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed being in the company of his cat, Boyser. All services will be held at St. Charles Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Pl SE, beginning with visitation on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 6:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m., with full military honors. Thanks to the wonderful help, day and night, from family, neighbors and friends. In lieu of flowers, please give to the charity of your choice.

BATTUELLO -- Mary E. Battuello, age 78, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on Friday, March 4, 2011. She was born in Charleston, South Carolina on August 26, 1932. She was a resident of Albuquerque for over 50 years. Mary enjoyed bingo, camping, bowling, and she loved her puppy dogs. She is survived by her companion of 25 years, Mr. Doane Johnson; her children, Patricia Lawson of Phoenix, AZ, Jim Lawson of Durango, CO, Dale Lawson of Albuquerque, NM and Steve Lawson of Whitehall, IL; Doane's children, Scott Johnson, David Johnson, Debbie Wommack and husband, Jordy all of Albuquerque; grandson, Cory Lawson and granddaughter, Toby Lawson both of Durango, CO, along with Doane's grandchildren, who called her "Grandma Mary"; her twin sister, Martha, her sisters, Eva and Tillie all of Charleston SC and her brother, Joseph of Albuquerque NM, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Roberts, and by her husband, Gene Battuello. Services will be held at the Chester T. BEALMEAR -- Dorothy Mae Bealmear, 84, resident of Albuquerque for over 40 years, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2011. She is survived by her niece, Flora Harris and husband Mike; daughter-in-law, Ruth Banes; and bonus daughters Megan Davis and husband Jeff; and Suzanne Waite and husband Keith. Dorothy was preceded in death by her sons, Brian and David; her daughter Melinda; her husband Dale; and her brother, Ronnie DeRemer. Dorothy was born on September 13, 1926 in Coffeyville, Kansas. She enjoyed reading mysteries--especially Tony Hillerman and Margaret Coel, and was an avid sports fan. She worked in admissions at the University of New Mexico and received an Employee Recognition Award in 1983. She loved dogs, especially Bandita, Gypsy, Angelique, Elvira and Violet. A graveside celebration of Dorothy's life will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menual Blvd NE. BERG -- Nina P. Berg, 86, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 2, 2011. BIGHAM -- Richard D. Bigham, 77, passed away on March 3, 2011 in Rio Rancho, NM. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Veva A. Bigham of Rio Rancho; son, Michael W. EILERS -- Donald D. Eilers, 81, a resident of Los Alamos since 1958, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 28, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Lila Anne Eilers; daughter, Kim Baird and husband, Mike; and grandchildren, Devon Baird and Brendan Baird. Mr. Eilers served in the US Army during the Korean War. He graduated from Morningside College in Sioux City, IA in 1956. Donald worked for Los Alamos National Laboratory from 1958 until 1991. GARDNER -- Charlotte Rae Gardner, born September 22, 1945 in Tulsa, OK, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2011. Charlotte is survived by her husband, Bob; daughter, Mary of Port Orchard, WA; cousin, Tony Huntsberger, who was like a son, his wife, Frannie; daughter, Kimberly and son, Robert of Okmulgee, OK; and many nephews and nieces including great nieces, Katie and Krissie Bressan of Albuquerque. After more than 30 years of work at local camera stores, Charlotte retired, concentrating on her own business, Charlotte's Fotos. She was a photographer with a talent of capturing the beauty of the Southwest and sold her photo cards at several businesses and many enlargements at local arts and crafts shows. Charlotte was also a member of Albuquerque Photo Gallery in Old Town. Charlotte won many friends with her wonderful personality, warm smile and kind heart. GOULD -- Donald G. Gould 89, a resident of Albuquerque, was born on August 28, 1921 and passed away on February 27, 2011. He is survived by his three sons, John, Jeremy and Andrew; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Donald lived an exciting life. He held a masters degree in romance languages from Rutgers University, he was a sailor, Diplomat and traveled extensively, and he was a great cook. He will be greatly missed. Edie was born on October 1, 1919 in Bremen, Germany to Richard C. and Anna (Sanders) Hagemann. She retired in Tarrytown, NY as an executive secretary of a bank. HAGAN -- Albert L. Hagan, 75, of Mountainair, New Mexico went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 19, 2011, after a fourteen month battle with cancer. He was born in Opelousas, LA on January 2, 1936. He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Ethert Hagan (of Oakdale), his mother, Lola Gertrude Fisher Hagan (of Opelousas), and brother Donald Hagan. He is survived by his loving wife, Dianne of Mountainair, New Mexico; one brother Ethert Hagan of Mandeville, LA; a dear church family, and a host of friends around the world. Bro. Hagan served as Manager of Dry Creek Baptist Camp in Dry Creek, LA for 26 years from 1966 until 1992. Before coming to Dry Creek Baptist Camp, he served as RA Director of the Louisiana Baptist Convention. A graduate of Elizabeth High School and Louisiana College, Bro. Hagan was also a beloved pastor of several churches in the Southwest Louisiana area, including Dry Creek Baptist Church. For the last fourteen years, he pastored Immanuel Baptist Church of Estancia, NM. After retiring from Dry Creek Baptist Camp in 1992, Bro. Hagan moved to Mountainair, New Mexico, where he established Eagles' Wings Youth Ranch, a free summer camp and follow-up ministry for disadvantaged at-risk boys and girls. A man's man, he is well remembered for his mentorship of young men and loved coaching basketball. Two memorial services one at Dry Creek Baptist Camp, Dry Creek, LA and one in New Mexico, will be held to honor Christ's work in and through him. These will be announced at a later date. A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., on March 13, 2011 at the Immanuel Baptist Church of Estancia, NM. HALDERMAN-TENORIO -- Bertha Halderman, 53, of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away March 2, 2011. Bertha was born in Vaughn, NM on October 15,1957. She left this world the same way she entered it, with her mother by her side holding her. In life and in death, Bertha will always be remembered as warm, kind, and considerate of others and their surroundings. A homemaker and career woman, she was fun filled, talented, and a joy to love. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Vernon Halderman Sr. and their two children Vanessa Saavedra, along with her husband Jerett, and Vernon Halderman Jr. with Fiancee Elenita. Bertha had five wonderful grandchildren Adrian, Carlito, Katrina, Donovon, and Tatiana. She is also survived by her mother and father Susie and Tony (papi) Luna, her siblings June Tapia, Teddy Tenorio, Mary Ellen Henson, Danny Tenorio and Sister in-law Judy Risinger. Bertha had 16 nieces and nephews with a large extended family whom were a big part of her life from the oldest who called her Tita to the youngest who loved the snacks she had in stock for her visits. Bertha will be forever loved and missed by her family and her many friends. A mass will be held in her honor on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 10:00am at St. Therese Church located at 300 Mildred Avenue Northwest Albuquerque, NM 87107. HUDGENS -- Frank Hudgens, age 80 and a resident of Los Lunas since 1958, went to be with the Lord, his Maker, on Thursday, March 3, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Ethel Hudgens. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy; one daughter, Rebecca Langin; one son, James Randall Hudgens and wife, Tena; grandchildren, Jamie Hudgens, Holly Hudgens, Shealyn Hudgens, Brandon Hudgens, Heather Klintworth and husband Nathan, and Kathy Langin; one great granddaughter, Evelyn Langin; one sister, Anna Faye Hudgens; two brothers, Dervin Hudgens and wife Wanda and Tom Hudgens and wife Carla from Denton, Texas. He was in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict. He received an Honor Reward for Superior Service and an Honor Reward for Meritorious Service from the United States Department of the Interior and retired from the Bureau of Indian Affairs after thirty years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Los Lunas, an adult Sunday school teacher, a deacon and a member of the Gideons International. He loved his Lord and was a faithful servant. Services will be at the First Baptist Church of Los Lunas, 914 S. Los Lentes Road SE, Los Lunas, NM on Wednesday, March 9. HURLEY -- Nancie Keating Hurley 6/15/1927-2/22/11 Nancie Keating Hurley passed away peacefully at Christus-St. Vincent's Hospital in Santa Fe, New Mexico, early in the morning of February 22, 2011. Born and raised on Long Island, she will be buried in the family plot on the East End, in the town of Westhampton Beach, where her family has lived since the early 1600s. She had lived in New Mexico, in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, since the late 1980s. A graduate of The Spence School in New York City, and Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York, she also studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse, School of the Theatre in New York and at the Universite de Laval in Quebec, Canada. Earlier in her life she was a stage actress in New York, and later a social worker and devoted volunteer for the Red Cross and other organizations, including the Junior Leagues of New York and Greenwich, Connecticut, where she lived for many years prior to moving to New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward, William, Robert, and Pierson Keating; by her former husband, James Lance Hurley, mother Anne Pierson Keating, and father William J. Keating. She leaves behind her loving family, including daughter, Joanna Hurley of Santa Fe; nephew David Keating of Albuquerque; sister Lois Keating Learned of Danbury, Connecticut; and nieces Elizabeth and Mary, also of Connecticut, and Carolyn and Anne Keating of New York City. LEWIS -- Arlantha Lewis, age 68, was born March 17, 1942 in Glasgow, Missouri to Albert and Bessie Mae Lewis Sr. Arlantha passed away February 20, 2011 in a local hospital. She graduated from Glasgow High School in 1960. She was a long time employee at the Glasgow Factory as a seamstress making sleeping bags. After her retirement she moved to Albuquerque and became a member of the AME Methodist Church, which she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Margaret Lewis; two brothers, Albert Lewis Jr. and James Lewis. She is survived by one sister, Bertha Mae Kellogg; one step sister, Sadie Cason and one sister-in-law, Caroline Lewis. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews and friends. Arlantha is very greatful for the love extended to her by the church and her pastor. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the Grant Chapel AME Church, 7920 Claremont NE. Dr. John Hill will officiate. PANNELL -- Guy Newton Pannell, 81, longtime resident of Albuquerque passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 26th. Guy was born in Dallas, TX and married Marceline Danley in 1953. Guy proudly served in the U. S. Air Force for 27 years and was stationed in Maine, Korea, England and New Mexico over his career. He greatly enjoyed fishing and his dog, Irish. Guy is preceded in death by his wife, Marcy. He is survived daughter, Pam Lester; son, Douglas Pannell and wife, Kathy; granddaughters: Ashley Wickwire and husband, Eric; and Erin McCarrell; and great-grandaughter, Rylan Wickwire. POSEN -- Stephanie M Posen, 94, died March 2, 2011. She is survived by her sons, Bill Posen and John Posen; grandchildren, Bill, Tom and John; three great grandchildren, Michael, Brennan and Rebecca; and one brother Edward Lech. Mrs. Posen was preceded in death by her husband William F. Posen. Stephanie was born in Chicago, IL to Michael and Victoria, where she owned Cicero's School Grocery Store. She and her husband moved to Albuquerque in 1968 and she worked with pre-school children, helped out at Mitchell Elementary School and was active in senior citizens center activities. Mrs. Posen enjoyed dancing and had many friends. She will be missed by all who knew her. A service will be held Monday, March 7, 2011, 3:00 pm, at French, Lomas Chapel. QUINTANA -- Horacio E. Quintana, 77, a resident of Albuquerque passed away at home on March 4th, 2011. Mr. Quintana is survived by his seven children, Jenny Gonzalez and husband, Norosvaldo, Dolores Pohl and companion, Anthony Saiz, Eloy Quintana and companion, Norma Ballejos, Monica Quintana, Evelyn Sedillo and husband, Herman, Eli Quintana and companion, Patricia Miranda, and Christopher Quintana and wife, Jennifer; his brother, Bobby Pacheco and wife, Stella; nine Grandchildren; seven Great-Grandchildren; a special niece, Patricia Gutierrez; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Quintana was preceded in death by his wife Josephine Quintana; and his sister Emma Sintas. Mr. Quintana was a member of the Catholic Church, and a retired Albuquerque Fire Fighter with 27 years of dedicated service. Mr. Quintana was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Korean War, and was proudly assigned to USS Alvin Cockrell (DE-366) vessel from 1952-1956. REID -- Richard S. C. Reid, 95, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 27, 2011. He is survived by his loving daughter, Marion S. Reid and husband, Chris Brooks, of Boulder Colorado; devoted son, Richard S. Reid of Arlington, Virginia; and grandson Sgt. Adam C. Reid, USMC, of North Carolina. Other surviving family includes his sister, Eleanor Fetters of Michigan; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Sydney Bryan Reid; & his siblings, Conrad, George, and Alice. Born February 18, 1916 in Washington, DC, Richard's family moved to a farm in Port Deposit, MD where he helped on the farm with his brothers & sisters, and then attended Tome Prep school. He earned his Bachelor's Degree at the University of Maryland where he was active in the Army ROTC. Then, like so many of the "Greatest Generation", he joined the US Army at the beginning of World War II and went to Ft. Benning, GA for basic training. He then joined the Army Air Corps and trained as a fighter pilot. He fought valiantly for his country, flying a P47 fighter over war torn Europe, and on one occasion had to bail out of his burning aircraft over Nazi occupied France. He spent 63 days evading the enemy before being reunited with allied forces. After the war and a brief career with American Airlines, Richard became an Air Traffic Controller in Washington, DC in 1953, and was a true pioneer of the profession. In 1958, he moved his family to Albuquerque where he finished his career as a controller and retired in 1976. A resident of the city for 53 years, Richard was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending his spare time hiking and camping throughout New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Colorado. He hiked in and out of the Grand Canyon many times, well into his sixties, and made countless exploratory trips in the Sandia Mountains with his good friend, Royce Fletcher. He was also an accomplished tennis player, and won many senior doubles tournaments throughout the Southwest. Richard was a long time member of the NM Mountain Club leading many hikes and backpacks with that organization including a weekly walk for seniors every Saturday morning. He also volunteered for Meals on Wheels, drove cancer patients to their treatment appointments, and was quite active with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, sponsoring several little "brothers". In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the veterans support organization or charity of your choice. Richard will be interred at Santa Fe National Cemetery, and a celebration of his life is scheduled for April 2 in Albuquerque. Further details will be published in next Sunday's Obituaries. ROGERS -- James L Rogers, 86, passed away at home with family by his side, March 1, 2011. Jim, as he was known by his friends, was born in Wapello, Iowa, May 30, 1924. He moved to Denver with his family and graduated from college with honors from Colorado University. He and his wife moved to Albuquerque in 1953 to work for Sandia National Labs as an electrical engineer. He served in the Navy and was a veteran of WWII. Jim loved his Corvette, dancing, skiing, fishing, and traveling with his family, especially after he retired. He was an excellent chess player and was an accomplished bowler. Called "Mr. Wizard" by his daughter, he always knew how to fix just about anything. He was never happier than in the company of his wife and family. A wonderful husband, father and friend, Jim will be greatly missed. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and his only brother, W. Keith Rogers. Jim is survived by his wife of 59 yrs, Ginny; his daughter Julie DelMarcelle and husband Pierre; son Brian Rogers and wife Kay, all of Alb; and his daughter Lesley Weichbrodt and husband Michael, of Seattle. SANCHEZ -- Delfino Sanchez, 88, loyal husband of 53 years, father, grandfather, brother, and loving friend to all, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 3, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Tommie, children, Michael Sanchez, Martha Martinez and husband Matt, and Henry Sanchez; granddaughters, Helene and Allison Martinez; sister, Juanita Lucero and husband Alfonso; brother, Madaleno and Loren Sanchez; sister-in-law, Melba Saiz; Honario and Rosalie Anaya and numerous beloved nieces nephews and extended family members. Delfino was preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Josefita Sanchez, brothers, Vensus and Seferino; sister, Amalia, and nephew, Fermin. Delfino proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army in the 3434th Ordinance Motor Maintenance Co. during WWII. Upon his return to New Mexico he met Tommie Martinez and they were married on June 15, 1957. He began his career working for the railroad in New Mexico and Texas. After his time with the railroad Delfino had a 40 year career in highway construction, most notably with Brown Construction. He was a loving and kind man who will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 7, 2011 at Shrine of St. Bernadette 11401 Indian School Rd. SHIVER -- William C. Shiver, 85, died on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at the Veterans Medical Center in Albuquerque. Bill was born March 20, 1925 in El Paso, Texas to Jessie Elizabeth Anderson and Chaves Shiver. A long-haul truck driver for most of his working life, he retired from ABF Freight Lines in 1987. He is survived by an ex-wife, Beverly Harrell Shiver, and by five children: Judy Ford (husband, Larry) of Bartonville, TX; Doris Barry of Loma, CO; Jack Shiver (wife, Louise), Bill Shiver (wife, Loretta), and Carolyn Shiver, all of Albuquerque. He also leaves six grandchildren, John Barry, Jr, Aaron Shiver, Lucas Shiver, Natalie Ford, Dorian Shiver and Elliot Shiver and three great-grandchildren, Robert Shiver, Thomas Shiver and Nicholas Shiver. Bill's ashes will be scattered along his favorite highways. There will be no funeral service.

SPENCE -- Marie Spence, 89, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on February 23, 2011. She was born on May 6, 1921 in Memphis, Texas to Mary Amanda Russell Finley and Matison Earl Finley. She graduated from high school in Muleshoe, TX, in 1937. (In July, 2010, she returned to Muleshoe for a class reunion and was the oldest graduate in attendance). She traveled alone by train to Seattle, WA. to begin 54 years of marriage to Robert Cecil (Bob) Spence on June 10, 1942. Within the year, Bob shipped overseas to serve in the European Theatre in WWII. In 1948, they moved to Albuquerque when Bob joined Sandia National Laboratories. His job took them to Las Vegas, NV. in the early 70's for four years, after which they returned to Albuquerque. Marie was an avid bridge player, cook and seamstress. A great pleasure for her was her large extended family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchild, and many wonderful friends through the years. Marie is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her two brothers, Russell Finley and Clifton Finley and his wife, Owetha. She is survived by her daughters: Karon Boutz and husband John, Kelly Vottero and Andy Gonzales, all of Albuquerque, and Karla Spence and partner Linda Davis, of Tucson, AZ; her grandchildren: Paul Boutz and wife Abby of Boston, MA, Shelley Boutz Kapikian and husband Gregg of Annapolis, MD, Danny Boutz of Austin, TX, Amanda Boutz and fiance Ben Specter of Belen, NM, Nick Vottero and girlfriend Jackie Oliver, and Louis (Al) Vottero and girlfriend Laura Baldwin all of Albuquerque; her one great grandchild, Alexander Kapikian; her sister-in-law, Wilma Finley of El Paso, TX; her cousin, Sammie Johnson of Quitaque, TX; five nieces, two nephews, and devoted friends, Jan Gallo, Fran Griffeth and the Boutz extended family. SPOHR -- Louise F. Spohr, 96, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2011. Louise was born in Deming, NM and moved to Albuquerque in 1931. During her Deming High School years Louise won a typing competition, typing 64 wpm and was a member of the basketball team that traveled around the state, winning the Alamagordo District competition 1930-1931. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Seaborn and son, Terry Spohr of Pinehurst Idaho; grandsons, Rick Seaborn, Ron Seaborn (Amy), and Blaine Mynatt (Joy) of Las Cruses, NM. Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Sam Spohr who passed away on July 10, 2010. Louise was choir director and organist for 30 years at Central United Methodist Church and a member for 78 years. She was a graduate of the University of New Mexico, majoring in music and history, also belonging to Kapa Kapa Gama and later a member of PEO. She also loved flowers and gardening and later became an accomplished painter. She also started skiing in her early sixties. Louise was always cheerful in life and loved every Minute of it. SULTEMEIER -- Harold L. Sultemeier, 88, a native New Mexican and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on February 27, 2011. He's survived by his wife of 64 years, Doris; son Kurt and his wife Rita; daughter Suzy and her husband Chuck Heisel; grandchildren Alice and her husband Jason Shoup, Maria and Kurt, Jr; numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Harold was preceded in death by his brothers, William and Lonzie. He graduated from Vaughn High School, Columbia University, received his master's from UNM and was a WWII veteran. Harold taught for more than 30 years for the Albuquerque Public Schools, mostly 5th grade (because of his love of NM history) and was a principal as well. He loved arrowhead hunting, nature, Indian and Hispanic art, flea marketing, fishing, reading and his family. Harold will be deeply missed. TROY -- Yvonne Lang (Angel) Troy, 93, died February 26, 2011. A resident of Albuquerque for over 50 years, Angel was born in Rutland, Vermont to Retha Preville Lang and LeRoy H. Lang. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Irma Myers and Breneice Trombetta. She is survived by her four daughters, Susan Troy, Albuquerque, Malinda Lang Troy and husband, Dan Donovan, Los Angeles; Maura Troy, Tehachapi, CA; and Marcy Troy, Oakton, VA. She is also survived by her "kid" brother, Duane (Red) Lang, Albuquerque; one grandson, Todd Edwards; and one great-grandson, Troy Edwards, of Palmdale CA. She will also be missed by long-time family friend (and the son she never had), Rob Johnson, Dallas. She attended Castleton State Teachers College in Castleton VT and proudly served in the US Marine Corps Womens Reserve in WWII. Following her wishes, Mom has been cremated and a private ceremony will take place in the summer when she will join her tough Scots-Irish and hardy French-Canadian kin in the family cemetery in Rutland, VT. WATSON -- James F. Watson, 78, born July 14, 1933 in Villas, Colorado passed away Monday, February 28, 2011 at 5:10pm. James enlisted in the US Navy in 7/19/50 and was an Aviation Boatswains Mate, awarded 2 Good Conduct Medals, Korean Service Medal, UN Service Ribbon and National Defense Service Medal in service of our country at the time of his discharge in 11/19/1960. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Diana J. Watson, children Stephen Finkenauer, Bradford Finkenauer and wife Koala, Christopher Watson and wife Krista, Vicky Palmer and husband Terry, Cindy Dupler and husband Carl and Lori Hewit; his grandchildren Malcolm Palmer, Amber Finkenauer, Brandon Palmer, Michele Finkenauer, Jameson Hewitt, Elizabeth Hewitt, and Olivia Hewitt; his brothers and sisters Mildred Walters, Bill Watson, Jerry Watson, JoAnne King, Jack Watson, Maxine Watson, and Minnie Watson and numerous nieces and nephews. Service will be held in Santa Fe at the National Cemetery, Wednesday, March 9th at 10:00 am. YOUNG -- Eileen Dahlberg Young, a long-time resident of Albuquerque was born in Grand Rapids, MI August 23, 1923 and passed away February 28, 2011 in Bloomington, IL. She moved to Albuquerque and began working at Sandia Corporation, now Sandia Laboratories, in August 1950 where she was a dedicated and trusted employee. She loved Albuquerque, the climate, its history, especially the Native American culture, her friends and animals. Although she moved to IL her heart stayed in Albuquerque where she developed many life-long friendships. She was gentle, caring, tender hearted and a true friend. She will be greatly missed by her friends and cousins. A graveside service is planned for later this month.
