GLIBERT -- LaDonna A. Glibert of Albuquerque passed away surrounded by her family on December 3, 2009 in Vancouver, WA, at the age of 72. She was born in Randall, Minnesota, to Nels and Hulda Anderson, grew up in Longview, WA, and graduated from RA Long High School in 1955. She spent the last 43 years living in Albuquerque. On February 1, 1958, she married Kenneth Glibert, he survives her at home. She was a member and volunteer at Christ the Ray of Hope Lutheran Church in Albuquerque. She also spent time volunteering at Presbyterian hospital. LaDonna was a homemaker. She enjoyed baking cookies, sewing, scrapbooking, and cake decorating. She loved spending time with her granddaughters and her family. In addition to her loving husband, Ken, she is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Roland Brosius of Battle Ground, WA, and Debra and George Knoske of Cincinnati, OH; her brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Veryl Anderson; sister and brother-in-law, Marlys and Kent Bradley; sister-in-law, Jackie Ladewig; brother-in-law, Stan Fouch; granddaughters, Savannah and Hallie Brosius and Ava Knoske; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2010, at Christ the Ray of Hope Lutheran Church, 7001 San Antonio Dr. N.E., Albuquerque, NM, 87108. GONGWER-SANCHEZ -- Emelia "Millie" Sanchez-Gongwer, born on January 14, 1932, was called to the Lord on January 1, 2010. Emelia lived in Albuquerque her entire life. She is survived by her one daughter, Yolanda Lee and husband William and her six sons, Rudy and wife Jennie, Danny, Anthony and wife Melinda, Dickie, Sam and wife Sherri and Carlos and wife Tina; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Marie; and two brothers, Manuel and Joe. Pallbearers will be: Ryan, Juan, Anthony, Miguel, Daniel and Daniel. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Alma and Crystal. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2010 at the 8th St. Chapel of /Garcia Mortuary, with Evening Service following at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Calvary Chapel on Jefferson and Osuna. GONZALES -- Maximiliano Victor Gonzales passed away on Friday, December 25, 2009 at the age of 78. He battled Alzheimers Disease for 6 years. He was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico on August 1st, 1931 to Victor Gonzales and Emilia Ortiz Gonzales. There, he went to school, delivered newspapers, delivered milk, and was a Boy Scout. The Gonzales' moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in February 1950. Later that year he joined the US Navy and served through 1954. He began working for Mountain Bell in 1955 and retired in February 1990. It was there that he met his wife of 51 years, Emilie M.Garcia Gonzales. He was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Emilia. He is survived by his wife Emilie, son Tim Gonzales, son Chris Gonzales and his wife Denise, stepgrandson Mark Ozbun and his wife Cyndi and their daughters Taylor, Skylar, and Jayden. His surviving brothers are Arthur Gonzales, Gilbert Gonzales and his wife Marlene, and Victor Gonzales and his wife Jane. He will be missed by his immediate family and all of his nephews and nieces and friends. Max loved working for Ma Bell. He had a great sense of humor and loved his family very much. He was an avid fisherman and Lobo fan. He became a favorite of many at both Sterling Memory Care Center and Desert Hills Memory Care Center. We encourage donations to the Alzheimer's Association in lieu of flowers. Services are to be determined and will take place in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

GUTIERREZ -- Virginia. On behalf of the GUTIERREZ Family we would like to thank Daniels Family Funeral Services and especially Gabriel Casaus, for their compassion and professionalism in this difficult time of transition of our beloved mother and grandmother, Virginia Teresa "Tere" Gutierrez, especially her grandson Benjamin R. Gutierrez who prepared his grandmother. A very special thank you goes out to Monsignor Leo Lucero and Father Dennis Garcia for reciting the mass, The Blue Army for their beautiful prayer and farewell to Our mother. HARPER -- Charles W. Harper, 86, passed away December 23, 2009. He was born in Boy River, MN on July 6, 1923 to Roy and Agnes Harper. Charles is survived by his wife of 62 years Betty; and daughter Terry Harper Luker and husband Eric Luker of Cave Creek, AZ. He was preceded in death by his brother, James. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy Uhlenhake. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp Paratroopers where he was wounded in combat in the Solomon Islands and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal. He was a graduate of Madison College, Madison, WI with a degree in accounting. He worked in Los Alamos from 1947 to 1982 when he retired from LANL and moved to Albuquerque. His remains will rest in the Santa Fe national Cemetery. Our family wishes to thank Presbyterian Hospice for their care and comfort.

HERMAN -- Doris L. Herman passed away on December 30, 2009. She is survived by her son, Marc Herman; and her son, Judd Herman, his wife, Allison, and their daughter, Catherine. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was born in 1921, and in spite of a very impoverished upbringing, she was determined to pursue higher education. She was a pioneer female physician; she was one of the first women to attend Georgetown University Medical School; and in 1952, she graduated from USC Medical School, finishing first in her class. She served for many years as a pathologist at the Los Angeles County Medical Center. She conducted research, and with other distinguished physicians, in the 1960s facilitated a groundbreaking study linking smoking to lung cancer. In 1971 she moved to Gallup, NM to work at the Gallup Indian Medical Center, where she ultimately served as Chief Pathologist. During her long career she was a dedicated physician and an inspiring mentor. She was kind and generous, and especially loved to assist young people pursuing higher education and career development. Dr. Herman retired to Albuquerque in 1993, and in retirement became an accomplished amateur painter, often winning recognition at the New Mexico State Fair. Memorial contributions are encouraged to the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, UNM Foundation or Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation, Hospice Services. HUCHMALA -- Arthur "Archie" Huchmala, 83, died peacefully at home December 22, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Evangeline, children, Lawrence Huchmala, John Huchmala and wife Julia, Victoria Huchmala, Catherine Olsen and husband Bradley and Paul Huchmala and wife Frances, grandchildren, John, Matthew, Jason and wife Elizabeth, Sarah, and Rachel, great grandchildren Cailyn and Laison as well as many other family and family friends. KELLY -- Maurice James (Jim) Kelly, 83, passed away peacefully in the family home on Sunday, December 13, 2009. He was born in Butte, Montana on December 2, 1926. His Butte High School class of 1944 graduated early so that Jim and his fellow students could join the war effort. He served in the Navy as a Radioman on Guam Island in the Pacific Theater. After the war, he met his wife of sixty years, Mary Louise (Mae) Woods. He entered the FBI as a Special Agent in 1951, serving in Kansas City, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, and Reno. However, he spent most of his career in New Mexico as a Principal Firearms Instructor & Training Coordinator. He was well known throughout the state among law enforcement agencies for many years, retiring in 1979. Jim was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips with his family and friends. We all remember him telling us to "keep your cheek down" and to "keep your line tight!" After retiring, Jim and Mae enjoyed many trips to Alaska, Hawaii and all around the country visiting friends and family. He is fondly remembered by his family and friends as always "Having a Good Trip!" Jim is survived by his wife Mae; daughter Linda (husband Barry); sons Jim (wife Mary Jo); Joe; John (wife Susan); Jerry (wife Donna); and grandchildren Barry, Kelly-Ann, Kristina, Molly, Leila, Emma, Kyrstyn and Kaytlyn; and Joshua, Jimmy, Emily, and Courtney. He is survived by his three sisters Dorothy Quinn, (husband Dr. James Quinn); Betty Foy, and Marge Keilman (husband Hal), all of Helena, Montana; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. The rosary will be recited on January 7, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Church, with eulogies that night and a reception following at the family home. Mass will be celebrated on January 8, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Heaven. He will be interred at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe in a private ceremony. LANGLEY -- Betty June Langley died peacefully in her sleep on the morning of Saturday, December 26, 2009. She was born in Stillwater, OK on March 9, 1930 to Kenneth I. Langley and Minnie Magdalene Roth Langley. Betty graduated from Tucumcari High School in 1948 and Eastern New Mexico University in 1952. Betty taught school for three years in Anthony, NM. She then returned to school and earned a Masters Degree in Religious Education from Perkins School of Theology at SMU in Dallas, TX. Betty worked in a church in Des Moines, IA for three years and then moved to Santa Fe, NM. She was the Director of Religious Education at St. John's United Methodist Church in Santa Fe for about ten years. Betty then worked for the State of New Mexico Welfare Department and retired after 25 years of service there. She was a member of the St. John's United Methodist Church, in Santa Fe, NM. Betty always loved music and she participated in the music at St. John's UMC as well as playing the piano for some of the nursing homes in Santa Fe. She was a loving and caring person and will be missed. She is survived by her brother Richard's children, Mark, Brad, Linda and Kay; brother, Kenneth Langley and wife, Sue, of Burnett, TX and their daughter, Toshia and son, Todd; brother, Robert Langley and wife, Trish, of Albuquerque, NM and their daughter, Karen and son, Warren. LEE -- Chi Hao (Edwin) Lee was born in Shanghai, China in 1924. He obtained his M.D. from St. John's University Medical School in Shanghai in 1948, and interned at St. Elizabeth Hospital, also in Shanghai. Edwin completed his Fellow at Medical College of Virginia from 1948-49, and Post Doctoral study at Harvard Medical School from 1949-51. His long medical career as a pediatrician took him through Resident at Charity Hospital of New Orleans, LA 1951-52, Chief Resident at Children's Hospital of Chattanooga, TN 1952-53, Chief Resident at Children's Hospital of Corpus Christi, TX 1953-57. Instructor at Tulane Medical School of New Orleans, LA 1951-52, Clinical Assistant Professor at Baylor University School of Medicine 1953-59, Assistant Medical Director at Children's Hospital of Corpus Christi, TX 157-59, Staff Pediatrician at Austin State School in TX 1959-61, Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics 1954, Fellow at American Academy of Pediatrics 1958, and finally private practice in NJ from 1962-91. Edwin's wife Irene is also a native of Shanghai. They were married in 1962. Edwin had broad interests in life. In 1997 he was awarded a U.S. Patent for inventing a "breathing enhancer". He loved to read, listen to good music, watch sports on TV, and was a consummate ballroom dancer. Edwin was also an outspoken person. He frequently wrote to editors and politicians, with his letters often being published. Once he wrote to syndicated columnist Dave Barry about some serious deficiencies in the English language, and Dave agreed with him! Edwin also has published articles in pediatric journals. Edwin humbly pronounced himself an Agnostic throughout his life. Edwin is survived by his wife Irene, a son who is an internist, and a daughter who is an engineer at Intel.
