COLTON -- Corey James Colton, 19, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend, died Wednesday, December 30, 2009. He is survived by his father, David; his mother, Kelly; older brother, Justin; older sister, Lacey; younger brother, Jody; maternal grandparents, Sue and Ray Benjamin; paternal grandmother, Betty Colton; uncle and aunt, LTC Brian and Kerri Benjamin; paternal aunt and uncle, Judy and Cecilio Quintana; paternal uncle, Robert Colton; and numerous other relatives and friends. Corey graduated from La Cueva High School May 2008 and participated in their MCJROTC. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in November 2008 and was currently assigned to Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort, SC. He set physical fitness records at La Cueva, the Albuquerque Marine recruiting office, and in basic training at MCRD, San Diego. Corey was a talented artist with a love for fast sports cars. His plan was to be discharged, return to school, and pursue a career as an Albuquerque Fire Fighter or in the field of architecture/drafting. Words cannot describe our love for him and how much he will be missed. DAUGHETEE -- Alan Daughetee, an employee of Dell Computer, passed away December 30 in a car accident just outside of Lago Vista, TX. He was born on October 16, 1955 to Ruth and Evert Daughetee in Caracas, Venezuela. Alan's life was marked by the impact he had on the people who were fortunate enough to cross his path. His generous spirit, ability to speak the truth in love, and remarkable sense of humor were just a few of the precious character traits those who knew him valued in him. He was kind, loving, and respectful to all he encountered without bias. He is survived by his parents; his sister Vivian Daughetee, her two sons Brian Chism, Kendall Chism and daughter Charity Chism and her three children Isaac, Trason and Aeris; his sister Dania Heffington, her husband Mike and their children N'Kisha and Anndrea; a number of cousins; an aunt, Marjorie Reed & her family, and an uncle, Calvin Daughetee and his family. A Memorial Service will be held at Austin-Peel & Son Funeral home on Wednesday, January 6th at 11:00 a.m. Austin-Peel & Son is located at the SW corner of the intersection of I-35 and 183, 607 E. Anderson Lane. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be given to either The Dell Children's Hospital in Austin, TX or your local Salvation Army.

DAVIS -- Jean Davis, 84, passed away on December 31, 2009. She was born February 26, 1925, in Sioux City, Iowa to Robert and Effie Lent. Jean was a resident of Albuquerque since 1960, and was an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, taking on various rolls as a member. She is survived by her children, Lonnie Cornwell and wife, Debbie of Rowlett Texas, Bobby Cornwell of Garland, TX, Jackie Boughter and husband, Larry, of Tempe AZ, Tim Cornwell and wife, Kathy, and Lisa Kilbreth and husband, Jeff, all of Albuquerque; nine grandchildren, J.T., Kyle, Dustin, Chelsea, Erin, Chris, Brittney, Karli and Katie; 5 great grandchildren, A.J., Quinten, Jill, Barrett, and Lilly Ann; other family members and numerous friends. Jean is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ron Davis; sister, Betty Jane Dulberg, and Bob Cornwell. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will take place at a later date, with burial to follow in Santa Fe National Cemetery. DORSEY -- Jack Dorsey, 93, passed away on December 26, 2009. He was the owner of Dorsey Lobo Pharmacy in Albuquerque, NM for 20 years. Jack is survived by his three children, Richard Dorsey, and his wife Sue, Kay Cerkleski, and her husband Frank, and Martha Dorsey. He is also survived by his two grandsons, Jackson and Frank Cerkleski; and two great-grandchildren. A private family service will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery. DUFF -- CHARLES F. Chuck was born in 1928 and died on Christmas Day, 2009. He lived a long, full life and died surrounded by those he loved. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Akins of Roswell, Georgia and his children, Christine Money of Marysville, Ohio; Gail Tankersley of Roswell, Georgia; Mark Duff of Beverly Hills, CA; and Timothy Duff of Suwanee, Georgia as well as their spouses and his eight grandchildren. His only sibling, James Duff, lives in Palm Desert Springs, California and his brother-in-law, Clint Akins, is from Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. Memorial service will be held at the Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, Georgia at 5:00 p.m. on January 30, 2010. The family will receive friends and loved ones one hour prior. EDMISTER -- Margaret Edmister, Albuquerque resident since 1947, passed away, surrounded by her family, December 27, 2009. FARRAR -- Carla Jean Farrar, 57, a resident of Albuquerque since 1969, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2009. She is survived by her mother, Velora Farrar; sister, Regina Damon and husband Ernest; brother, John Farrar and wife, Marjorie; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Carla was preceded in death by her father, Rex Leon Farrar; and her sister Debra Ann Farrar. She was born on August 1, 1952 in Roswell, NM and graduated from Del Norte High School in Albuquerque, Class of '70. Carla was a loving daughter, sister and aunt and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place and a private scattering will take place at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque at a later date.
