LEW -- Robert T. Lew of Los Lunas passed on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 in Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Honor Lew, brother, Joseph Lew and sister, Michelle Lew. He is survived by his fiance, Pauline Salas; brothers, William and Patrick; sisters, Kathleen and Mary; nieces, Caitlyn and Jessica; and nephew Charles. Robert was a veteran of the United States Army, a National Forest Service firefighter, and served for over twenty years with the Veteran's Administration. A Rosary and Mass will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2010, 9:30 a.m., at San Clemente Catholic Church in Los Lunas. Peggy is survived by husband of 61 years Curly Martin; sons: Gary Martin (Janet), Lary Martin (Carol) and Mark Martin (Brenda); brother: Gerry Health (Laura); sister: Pat Heimbauch (Ray), 4 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. MAZON -- Dolores C. Mazon, 80, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home on January 1, 2010, with her loving family at her side. Mrs. Mazon is survived by her children, David Mazon and fiancee, Rebecca Golden of Tishomingo, OK, Joyce Lopez and husband, Jim, Sylvia Safley and husband, John, Arleen Serrato, Eileen Adams and husband, Marc, Dorothy Padilla and husband, Henry, all of Albuquerque; her brother, Frank Sedillos; her sister, Jennie Rhoades; grandchildren, Jimmy Lopez, Lawrence Safley, Joseph Carrillo, Paul Gonzales, Michael Serrato, Brian Padilla, James Padilla, Joseph Padilla, Roxanne McFadden, Jennifer Mazon, Marlo Gonzales, Rachel Gonzales, Diana Lopez, Ashley Adams, Adriana Christine Serrato, and Kathlene Dolores Mazon; her great-grandchildren, Lawrence Safley, Jacob Griego, Xavier Safley, Jack McFadden, Leo McFadden, Ethan Davies, Harrison Davies, David Lopez, Joseph Carrillo, Kayla Lopez, Rhiannon Alderette, Madison Lopez, Alexis Carrillo, Samantha Montoya, Hannah Felix, Ava Salas, and one on the way; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Mazon was preceded in death by her parents, Juan Jose and Rosauvra Sedillos; her sisters, Julia Gonzales, Andrea Carrillo, and Rose Bergman; her sister in law, Barbara Sedillos; and her beloved great-grandson, Uriah Daniel Montoya, whom she endearingly referred to as "the lover." Dolores was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Monday, January 4, 2010 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., by Deacon Robert Vigil. Final visitation will be Tuesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW, from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with a Communion Service to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., Deacon Robert Vigil, presider. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Safley , Paul Gonzales, Michael Serrato, Lawrence Safley Jr., James Padilla, and Joseph Padilla. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Lopez and Joseph Carrillo. A special note of gratitude to Marlo Rose Gonzales, for her compassion and gentle hands, in helping make her grandmother's transition to Heaven comfortable and peaceful. MCDOWELL -- Anthony McDowell of Tijeras, NM went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2009. Anthony was born in San Antonio, TX on December 13, 1919. He was nine days old when his mother died of the Spanish flu in 1919. He lived with his grandparents in Clarksville, TX where he grew up and was an excellent football player and had many friends. He joined the Air Corps (now the Air Force) in 1941, serving as an aerial photographer which he enjoyed and made many friends. After discharge, he lived in Albuquerque, NM near his sister, Norine Liston and worked at Sears and other places until he became disabled. He was a member of the DAV of New Mexico. He was a gifted artist and won several awards for his paintings. Survivors include one sister, Norine Liston of Tijeras, NM; one nephew Jerry Liston and wife Mary Liston and their son, Stephen Liston; one niece, Mary Jane Cherry of Omaha, TX and many cousins. MEIER -- Dale Robert Meier, age 46, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, December 31, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Danita Meier, parents, Robert G. Meier, and Maydelle Meier, both of Albuquerque, a sister, Deborah Meier Gonzales, and her husband, Ricardo and two children, Rici, and Johnelle, a brother, David G. Meier, his wife Sheryl Meier and their son, Benjamin Meier, of Mansfield, Texas and Debra Erven, friend and companion. Dale was a graduate of Sandia High School, and became proficient in auto painting in Albuquerque and Denver, CO. A memorial service will be held at French - University Chapel, Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. Pastor Rick Donaho officiating.
