HARPER -- Charles W. Harper, 86, passed away December 23, 2009. He was born in Boy River, MN on July 6, 1923 to Roy and Agnes Harper. Charles is survived by his wife of 62 years Betty; and daughter Terry Harper Luker and husband Eric Luker of Cave Creek, AZ. He was preceded in death by his brother, James. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy Uhlenhake. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp Paratroopers where he was wounded in combat in the Solomon Islands and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal. He was a graduate of Madison College, Madison, WI with a degree in accounting. He worked in Los Alamos from 1947 to 1982 when he retired from LANL and moved to Albuquerque. His remains will rest in the Santa Fe national Cemetery. Our family wishes to thank Presbyterian Hospice for their care and comfort.
