ANSLEY -- Joseph Rhett Ansley, 48, of Albuquerque/Ramah, NM, died in a work related accident in Arkansas on January 14, 2009. Joseph was born in Gallup, New Mexico on January 23, 1960, the second son of Jimmie and Carol Ansley. He grew up in Ramah, NM where he developed a love of horses and rodeo. Joseph loved dancing, nature and life. He is remembered by family and countless friends for his charm and optimism and ability to find fun and adventure in every situation. He is survived by his wife, Cristi; son, Lance (Antoinette); and granddaughter, Cheyenne; parents, Jimmie Ansley and Carol Ansley; two brothers Calvin (Gail), Parley; and three sisters Colleen Hutchinson (Marshall), Yolonda Broome (Jeff), & Tanya Tanner (Tony). Visitation will be from 9:00-9:45 a.m., with Funeral Services following at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 19, 2009 at the LDS chapel in Ramah, NM. BANDONI -- Ernestine Bandoni, 64, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1985, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2009. Ernestine was born July 8, 1944 the daughter of Sherman and Sandra Cavert Hall in Sidney, Nebraska. Ernestine loved to sew, making clothes and blankets. She was a devoted Christian who loved God. Ernestine was a very caring mother who had lots of love to give to her family. She was always willing to help anyone she could. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Sandra Hall; and one brother, Delvin Hall. Ernestine is survived by her husband of 28 years, Theodore Bandoni of Rio Rancho; five children, Leah Salazar of Albuquerque, Sharon Smith and husband Doug of Canon City, CO, Diana Clark and husband James of Lubbock, TX, Tony Salazar and wife Olivia of Cubero, NM, and Christy Cain and husband Tommy of Rio Rancho; thirteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one sister, Shirley Chenoweth of Longview, TX. A special thank you to Jean Duncan of VistaCare Hospice for her compassion and care of Ernestine. BLANCHETTE -- Frances R. Blanchette, nee Borek, 91, a resident of Albuquerque for 22 years, died January 12, 2009. Mrs. Blanchette was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, who died in 1975. She is survived by her three children Rosemary Garvey of Westwood, NJ; Frank Blanchette and wife Linda of Daufuskie Island, SC; and Lynne Scott and husband Jack of Albuquerque, NM. She leaves behind 14 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Frances was one of 11 children, and is survived by two sisters and two brothers. A long-time resident of Montclair, NJ and Lake Worth, FL, she and her husband founded the Blanchette Tool & Gage Mfg. Corp. of Clifton, NJ. They were active members of the Upper Montclair Country Club for many years. Following the death of her husband, Frances served as President of the Company until her retirement in 1986. After moving to Albuquerque, Frances served as a docent at the All Indian Pueblo Cultural Center and acquired an extensive collection of Indian Art. She loved to travel, and during her ventures collected local art and craft work. Frances had an early career in weaving and was accomplished in crafts and needlepoint. A Mass was held for the immediate family at St Jude's Catholic Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico, after cremation at Sunset Memorial Park. In the spring, there will be a Memorial Mass in celebration of her life, followed by the interment of her ashes in the family plot at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair, New Jersey. CARRICK -- Paul D. Carrick Paul was born July 5, 1952 in Quincy, Illinois. Paul passed away at home with his family by his side January 1, 2009. He was 56. A lifelong resident of Albuquerque, he graduated from Highland High School and was Branch Manager of Tricor Braun. He is survived by his son, Daniel R. Carrick; Daniel's Mother, Siobhan Carrick; mother, Marjorie Carrick; and brother, Robert Carrick. He was preceded in death by his father, David Carrick. COMEAU -- Matthew Brian Comeau, age 20, died January 11, 2008 in Albuquerque. He was born in Albuquerque on March, 8, 1988 and attended Cibola High School. Matthew was currently in the United States Army stationed with the 2/ 69 Armor Battalion, Fort Benning, Georgia, and held the rank of Specialist. He was awarded the Combat Action Badge, two Army Commendation Medals and the Army Achievement Medal for service in Iraq. Matthew is survived by his parents, Steve and Sherry Comeau, from Albuquerque; and his brother Timothy Comeau and wife, Phoebe, both of whom are currently NCO's in the United States Marine Corps, stationed in Okinawa, Japan and who are expecting their first baby any day. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, La Verne Stark from Albuquerque; his paternal grandfather, Paul Comeau and his wife Linda from Las Cruces; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. DAMMROSE -- Eupha Dammrose, age 96, mother of Karmen Van Dyke; and grandmother of Jeff P. and Matthew D. Van Dyke; great-grandmother of David, Justin, Kirsten, and Gabriel (all of Albuquerque) died in Eagle, Idaho, on December 3, 2008. For nearly 40 years, Eupha "wintered" in Albuquerque, and shared her musical gifts and good humor with several Presbyterian congregations and Presbyterian Hospital. DAVIS -- Helen "Eileene" Davis, age 64, of Albuquerque, passed away in her home on January 7, 2009, after a long fought and courageous battle with cancer. Helen is survived by her husband, Parke, of 31 years; daughter Kate Davis-Butters and her husband Nathan Butters; one granddaughter, Kylie Kathryn Butters; two brothers (both residing in England, UK), John Radnor and wife Carol, and Philip Radnor and wife Patricia. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Helen Radnor. Born in Bellshill, Scotland, on March 23, 1944, as Helen Marian Radnor, Helen lived in the United Kingdom until meeting her husband in 1977. She moved to New Mexico in 1993 and later found work at the U.S. Department of Energy as an administrator. Helen loved her family and friends dearly; she cherished every moment spent with them, especially her granddaughter. Helen was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. At her request, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 16, 2009, 2:00 p.m., at the Sunset Memorial Park Chapel, Albuquerque. Internment will follow. DENTON -- Tommie Denton was born January 26, 1943 in Fort Sumner, New Mexico. HILL -- William Boyd Hill, 81, passed from this life to Heaven on Tuesday, January 13, 2009. Born in Logan, NM, on Sunday, October 9, 1927, Bill came to Albuquerque in a covered wagon with his family the following year. He attended Albuquerque High School and met the love of his life, Nelda Jo Tidwell at her uncle's drug store. They were married June 16, 1946, and spent most of their married life in Albuquerque's North Valley. He was a loving husband, a wonderful father, son, brother and uncle, an awesome grandfather and a very special great- grandfather. Nelda preceded him in death in 2004 after 58 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Julia Duncan, Elsie Davis; and his daughter, Sue Ellen Coffin and her husband, Charles T. Coffin. Bill is survived by his sister, Ruth Kelly of El Paso, TX; son Randy and wife, Pat; daughters, Linda and Leslie Hill all of Albuquerque; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, numerous loving nieces and nephews, and many, many long-time friends. A retired ironworker, Bill was an avid horseman and a long-time member of the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Posse. INGRAM -- George Edwin Ingram, a resident of Albuquerque since 1957, passed away Friday, January 9, 2009. His wife, Orvella Jeane Ingram predeceased him August 29, 2000. George is survived by his daughter, Linda Jeane Walton and her husband William A. (Buddy) Walton III; his grandson, David Nicholas Walton and his wife Katharine J. (Katie) Walton; his son, Bryan Allen Ingram and his wife Bonnie Evans Ingram; his grandsons, Kristopher Bryan Ingram and Stephen Allen Ingram, all of Albuquerque. He is survived by his second wife Martha J. Ingram; stepchildren, and step-grandchildren. George was born November 8, 1930. He was hired at Sandia National Labs in 1957, and retired in 1993. George was very creative. He loved to invent electronic gadgets and played ping pong. He enjoyed advanced square dancing, country-western dancing, line-dancing, and round-dancing. He also traveled extensively. He was a scientist and inventor with Sandia National Laboratories. He will be sorely missed. JOHNSON-CORLIS -- Claudia Jo Johnson-Corlis, 66, a resident of Albuquerque since 1964, lost her year long battle with brain cancer Sunday, January 12, 2009 and moved on to a better place. Claudia was a fighter to the end. She was known for her no-nonsense style of communication and honest opinions. A wonderful mother and grandmother (affectionately known as "Granny" after the Beverly Hillbillies TV show character), she will be sorely missed. The matriarch of the Johnson-Corlis family, her brand of family loyalty and leadership will be hard to emulate. Always one to offer support to others and "rally the troops" to help out family and friends in times of need, Claudia was a force to be reckoned with. "Let's get organized" was her mantra and "I know I'm beautiful, tell me I'm efficient" was her personal motto. She is survived by her husband, Norman Corlis; her mother, Betty Newman; her sons, Todd Johnson and wife, Kristin (with grandchildren Ryan and Maura) and Joel Johnson and wife, Tracy; her daughters, Kimberly Harrell and husband, Mark (with grandson Grady), Jessica Martinez and husband, James (with grandchildren Dru Bailey and Thomas), Debi Corlis, and Tom Gay, all of the Albuquerque area; brother and sisters include Ronald Newman and wife, Pam of Westcliffe, CO, Nancy Casillas of Las Cruces, NM, and Amy Suttles and husband, Erik of Pagosa Springs, CO. Claudia was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Newman. She was a Licensed Independent Social Worker and had a successful private practice in this field. In addition, she served on numerous boards, committees, and associations in the field of psychiatric social work. She held a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washburn University in Topeka, KS and a Master of Social Work from Arizona State University. KEITH -- Donald G. Keith, 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 14, 2009. Don was born Tuesday, March 27, 1928 in West Texas and was active in the family farming and ranching business. He joined the Army in 1953, then he attended Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, Colorado where he met and married Marianne. After graduating in 1958, they came to Albuquerque and soon became active in real estate and land development. He and Bill Thompson formed Keith & Thompson Realtors, built and operated apartment complexes in the university area which his family still operates. He enjoyed many happy years playing tennis at the Tennis Club of Albuquerque, where he served as President and long time member of the "Dawn Patrol". Donald is survived by his wife, Marianne; sons, Brian Keith and son, Redmon, Scott Keith and wife, Lori and their children, Donald, Richard, Marty, Nicole and grand-daughter, Alexis; brother Larry Keith and wife, Mary Lois of Childress, TX; sisters, LaDelle Gann and husband, Royce Don of Paducah, TX, Ruby Nell Rogers of Pleasant Hill, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. KOPLOWITZ -- Ina P. Koplowitz, 78, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 31 years, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2009. Ina was born July 4, 1930 the daughter of Jack and Rachel Ruben Berkman in Brooklyn, New York. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Ina will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Ina is survived by her husband of 57 years, Norman Koplowitz of Rio Rancho; two children, Carey D. LEASE -- Joline A. Lease passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2009 with her family by her side. Joline was adored and loved by all who knew her. She was born October 28, 1925 in El Paso, Texas to the late Guido and Dorothy Giomi of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Joline grew up in Albuquerque along with her three sisters, Dorothy (Giomi) Isburgh, Patsy (Giomi) Wilson and Connie (Giomi) Ball. She attended St. Mary's High School, sang in the choir at the Immaculate Conception Church and then graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1943. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband Edwin E. Lease of 42 years. Her three devoted children Richard Dow and wife Carol of Camarillo, CA, Nancy Dow of Albuquerque, Kathy (Dow) Wilson of Albuquerque; grandchildren Tara Broussard and husband Todd of Lake Charles LA; Melanie Whitaker and husband Michael Gallegos of Bosque Farms, NM; Chad Wilson and wife Sara of Phoenix, AZ, and Brian Dow of Santa Barbara, CA. Joline and Ed together shared eight children; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Joline was also preceded in death by grandson Aaron Bigbie; step-son Richard Lease; and step-grandson Troy Lease. In the early 1950's while raising her three children Joline vas very active in the Albuquerque Little Theater and local garden clubs. Joline had a love for nature and music. In her retirement from Mountain Bell Telephone Company (of 32 years), she took up oil painting and renewed her love for gardening. Above all, Joline cherished spending time with her family. Joline and Edwin loved traveling in their RV's throughout the USA. They spent many evenings admiring the beautiful sunsets and landscapes surrounding their home at Cochiti Lake, NM, where they resided for 26 years. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Care Free Living located at 10916 Juan Tabo Place NE where she had resided since June of 2006. The family extends their gratitude to the staff at Care Free Living for the loving care they provided to Joline. We would also like to extend our thanks to the compassionate staff of Zia Hospice. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Erlinda, Bennie, Emily, Joseph, and most recently Agapito Silva. SAMPSON -- Noma L. Roberts Sampson, 83, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, entered into rest January 14, 2009. She was born in Milford, Utah on April 26, 1925 to Jenny L. Johnson and Carl Roberts. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Donald Sampson, (later they were married in the Bountiful Temple on May 16, 1996); daughter, Jodi (Ted) Ridgway; grandson, Mike (Leasa) Foust; granddaughter, Tammi Snow; six great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Duane and Dale Roberts. Noma was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. Her greatest joy was making a beautiful home for her husband, and being a wonderful mother and grandmother. TIBBETTS -- George Tibbetts, 75, born in Rockland, MA, and longtime resident of Tijeras, passed away on January 7, 2009. George served aboard the USS Purdy during the Korean War. He was the Commander of American Legion Post 377 in California, and later a member of American Legion Post 49 in Albuquerque. George was the owner and operator of George's Auto Shop in Cedar Crest for many years. George was the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back. He will be missed by his wife, Barbara Tibbetts of Tijeras: brother, Reggie Tibbetts and his wife, Dene of Bedias, TX; sisters-in-law, Billie Tibbetts, Sally Tibbetts, and Anna Tibbetts; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends; and maybe most of all by his dog, Mocha. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Vera Tibbetts; brothers, Robert (Bud) and wife, Ethel, Vernon Eugene, and Kenny W. Tibbetts; sisters, Geraldine MacCarvel and her husband, Mac, and Vera Infusino and husband, Frank. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to their "angel", Virginia Reynolds, for her care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of George's life will be held later this summer in Tijeras.

TORRES -- Sofia Elena "Manga" Torres born April 11, 1943, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2009 while surrounded by her loving family. She leaves behind her two children, Richard "Bebo" Torres & Mona Whiting; her two granddaughters whom she loved unconditionally, Melanie & Brittni. Manga, as she was known to many, is also survived by her sisters Lucy, Nora, Antonia, & Peggy; brothers Juan & Benny; numerous other family and friends & long time friend Ann Parada. Manga will be greatly missed especially by her granddaughter Melanie whom she helped raise! A Memorial Service in her honor will be held on Saturday January 17, 2009 at 12 p.m.-1p.m. at Agua Vida Ministry at 144 Texas NE with food and refreshments following the Service. A special thanks to the doctors & nurses at UNM Hospital for their care of Manga. We would also like to express heartfelt thanks & much gratitude to all our family for helping us get through this most difficult time, her sisters who stayed by Manga's side on her last days-Thank you all very much for all your support and your prayers! May she rest in peace!
