Charles (Charlie) Ross Shimek passed away Thursday January 8, 2009 at the age of 71 in Albuquerque NM. Charlie was born August 20, 1937 in Rock Creek, MN to Joseph and Bernadine Gilbert Shimek. He is survived by his daughter Tammy Barlow of Albuquerque, NM; two sons C. Zane Shimek of Las Vegas, NM; Quentin Shimek of Tijeras, NM; five grandchildren M. Joseph, Logan, Jessica, Aiden, Elise; two great-grandchildren Xavier and Kelly; brothers William, Dean, Ronald, Bernard and sister Mary Ann; numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends and acquaintances. Cremation has taken place, and Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday the 17th in Tijeras, NM.
