She is preceded in death by her husband, John R. Garcia on November 26, 1996. She is survived by her aunt, Bertha Morales; uncle, Rudy Morales; children, Dolores G. Chavez and husband, Pat, Larry Garcia, John A. Garcia; a grandson she raised, Joel R. Hill and wife, Barbara; grandchildren, Christopher, Richard, Matthew, Denise and Evangeline; and great-grandchildren, Desiree, Robert, Candice, Brianna, Niyah, Anthony, Julianne, Melokei, and Xavier. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 16, 2009 at The First Spanish Baptist Church, 812 Fruit Ave. NW at 10:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Christopher Chavez, Matthew Chavez, Robert Hill, Richard Garcia, Eddie Robles and Vince Herrera.
