Albrecht -- Helen M. Albrecht, 90, passed away at St. Clare Meadows Care Center in Baraboo, WI on Tuesday, April 10, 2001. Helen was born on November 25, 1910 in Indiana. She moved to New Mexico with her first husband, Edgar Murray, who later passed away while they where traveling in Sweden. Helen and Edgar had a bowling alley in Los Lunas, NM and a dairy farm in Bosque Farms, NM. Helen was the last living founder of the Peralta Memorial Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in the local libraries and helped to establish the Los Lunas Public Library. She also worked in the county clerk's office. Helen graduated from De Pauw University where she was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. In 1980, after being a widow for three years, she married James Albrecht. She was a member of St. Camillus in Wisconsin. Helen is survived by her loving husband, James Albrecht, of Merrimac, WI; the Murray children, Donald and wife, Alanna of Phoenix, Douglas of Las Vegas, Paul and wife, Gail of Albuquerque, Bruce and wife, Carole of CA; one special granddaughter, Lisa; the Albrecht children, James M. and wife, Rita of Merrimac, WI, Margaret and husband, Hank Loncki of Lodi, WI, Barbara and husband, Phil Rowley of AL, and Mike of Albuquerque; and eight special grandchildren. Coy -- Doug Coy, 72, a resident of Albuquerque died Sunday, May 13, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lola Coy; daughter, Christine Koch of Lakeland, FL; granddaughters, Sherri Brockman-Tabb and husband, Jack and Teresa Madonia and husband, Stephen; great-grandchildren, Addison Tabb, Austin Brockman, Savannah Brockman, Stephen Madonia, Jr., and Lauren Madonia. Doug was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. His life was very much devoted to his family. He was a member of the Quarter Horse Association. Doug will be missed very much. Davis -- Martha Jane Davis, 47, formerly of Belen and now of Los Lunas peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2001. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Martha was a graduate of Belen High School. She worked at the Circle K in Belen for several years. She then moved on to work for the Giant Corporation as clerk in the Los Lunas store and then went on to work at the Isleta Gaming Palace until her illness. She loved her husband, Robbin with all her heart and her son, Matt and his girlfriend, Michelle and her grandson, Marcos, who lit up her life with joy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Flora Ornelas and one sister, Josephita"Josie" Niedens. Martha is survived by her husband of twelve years, Robbin; her son, Matt and his girlfriend, Michelle; and her loving grandson, Marcos all of Los Lunas. She also leaves behind her dear brothers and sisters, Simon Ornelas and his wife, Bertha; Arthur Ornelas and a special friend Mike Frelander; Odie Davis; and Connie Montoya and her husband, Tony. She is also survived by her loving nieces, nephews, cousins and many other loved ones. A Viewing was held on Monday, May 14 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home. Esposito -- Marie"LaVergne", 80, Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many, peacefully returned home to Our Heavenly Father on Thursday May 10th. She was born on November 6th, 1920 in Albuquerque. She was an active member of"The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" and served the church in many positions. Her family and the gospel were the light of her life. No one was ever a stranger to her and she was always ready to help. She is survived by her six children, Dennis Hansen and wife, Laurie of Twin Falls Idaho, Peggy Montgomery and husband, Richard, Linda P. King, Carolyn L. McClosky and her husband, Jack, Charlie E. Esposito, Yvonne Gibney and her husband, Lou, all residents of New Mexico. She has 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters, Evelyn Oates and her husband, Larry of Albuquerque and Louise Lasley of California. She was loved and will be greatly missed but always remembered by those who knew her. Viewing will held from 9:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. in the Relief Society Room at the Haines St. Chapel with services following at 10:00 a.m. in the Haines St. Chapel. There will be no graveside services. Hall -- Dorothy R. Hall, age 85, a resident of Albuquerque for 20 years, passed away May 11, 2001. She is survived by her sons, Bertram M. Hughes -- Elsie Lucille (Lou) Hughes, 73, loving wife, mother, grandmother, Great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, has been called home by the Lord on Saturday, May 12, 2001. Lou was born in Vernon Township, Lake County, Illinois on July 27, 1927. She moved to Gillette, Wyoming as a small child and eventually resided in Sheridan, Wyoming for most of her life. She married Eugene A. Hughes on July 26, 1954. They moved to Long Beach, CA in 1969 and then to Albuquerque, NM in 1974 where she sold Real Estate for a few years. She was a long-time employee of Murphy's Mule Barn as a cashier and manager. She is survived by her loving husband, Eugene (Gene) Hughes; step-son, Eugene (Gene) Hughes of Great Falls, MT; daughter, Velma Edson and husband, Jerry of Idaho Falls, ID, daughter, Ruth Kho and husband, Robert of Corrales, NM, daughter, Doris Drennan and husband, Larry of Albuquerque, NM, daughter, Delores (Zip) Ashby and husband, Ray of Sophia, NC; 24 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and one sister, June Ward of Alton, IL. Julian -- Marshal R. Julian, 83, a resident of Albuquerque since 1934, died Saturday, May 12, 2001. He is survived by his wife, June Julian of the family home; two daughters, Margaret Swain and husband, George of Albuquerque and Lucille Donegan of Keene, NH; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Joyce Scheef of Topeka, KS. Mr. Julian graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1936. He was a veteran of the Army serving during WWII and the Korean War. He was a charter member of the Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church. Mr. Julian was past president of the Albuquerque Men's Bowling Association and past president of the New Mexico State Men�s Bowling Association. He was a member of the Zia Roamers Good Sam RV Chapter, a member and past master of the Zia Daylight Masonic Lodge, and past patron of Eastern Star. Kelly -- Mildred S. Kelly passed away on May 10, 2001 after a brief illness. She was born in Van Houten, NM on November 21, 1914. She had a wonderful marriage of 51 years to Ulis B. Kelly who preceded her in death on June 14, 1999. She is survived by her son, Robert J. Kelly and wife, Claudia; granddaughter, Kristin, whom she adored; brothers, Mike Sims and wife, Darnell and John Simovich and wife, Marie; sisters-in-law, Opal Kelly and Geraldine Kennedy and husband, Clifford; brother-in-law, John Kelly and wife, Pauline; and numerous nieces, nephews and grandnieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ann Gatti and Ruth Raicevich. Her family was everything to her and she kept in touch weekly with them. Mildred worked at various secretarial and clerical jobs in their travels in the military. She was active in her church, La Mesa Presbyterian in Albuquerque, and a volunteer at Kirtland Air Force Base. Lovato -- Amanda P. Lovato, 15, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on May 12, 2001. Amanda is the loving daughter of Frances and her step father, Josh. Marentes -- Mr. Martin Marentes died Saturday, May 12, 2001 in Amarillo, TX at the age of 33. He is survived by his father, Antonio Marentes; mother, Bertha Marentes; brothers, Antonio Marentes, Carlos Marentes, Alejandro Ramon Marentes, Pedro Marentes, Cruz Marentes and Alfredo Marentes; sisters, Angelica Ponce, Elizabeth Rivera, Cristina Marentes, Bertha Alicia Marentes and Maria Elena Huff; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Marentes will be held on Thursday at San Jose Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Monget -- Ralph Roland Monget, 72, a resident of Albuquerque since 1973, died Thursday, May 10, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Maria Monget of Albuquerque; sons, John P. Monget and wife, Loretta of Albuquerque and Ralph R. Monget, Jr. and wife, Alicia of Las Cruces; daughters, Toni M. Harris and husband, Glynn David and Romenia E. Montgomery and husband, Steve, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, David Harris, Jessica Harris, Hope Harris, James Montgomery, Kevin Montgomery, Shannon Montgomery, Steven Monget and Andrew P. Monget; great-grandchildren, Donte Harris and Deja Harris; brothers, Robert P. Monget, Jr. and Edward Wright; and numerous other family members and friends. Mr. Monget was a Korean and Vietnam War era veteran who retired from the Air Force after serving his country proudly for 27 years. He then began a second career with the U.S. Postal Service, retiring after 18 years in 1993. Mr. Monget was an avid fisherman and hunter. Above all else, he had an undying love for his family and they will miss his humor, his company and his love. Muller -- Carlos Bernardino Muller born July 7, 1979 died on Saturday, May 12, 2001 in Albuquerque, N.M. Carlos is survived by his parents, Avelino and Victoria Muller; one sister, Monica and niece, Mariah; grandparents, Abelino and Rita Muller, Merlinda Muller and Francisco and Adelfa Amparan. Carlos is also survived by his finance, Casandra Serna. She is expecting their child who is due in September 2001. Carlos is eternally loved by his numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Carlos loved his family, singing, rap, playing golf and fishing. He graduated from Manzano High School Whenever we needed Carlos' helping hand, he was always there for us, he was our handyman. We will always remember Carlos' quiet, shy smile. Carlos is with God. He is now our guardian angel. Sanchez -- Mary Lowe Sanchez, died peacefully, surrounded by her family May 13, 2001, at her home of 61 years in Taos at the age of 86. Mary had been suffering from a chronic illness. Her rich life began on July 21, 1914, born in Taos and delivered by Doc Martin. Almost all of Mary Eliza's life was spent in Northern New Mexico. Some of her favorite remembrances of childhood included panning for gold with her father at his mine in Red River, fiestas in Santa Fe and Taos, making miniature adobe houses while living and going to school on the San Juan Pueblo and boarding school in Santa Cruz where she excelled in studies but also loved to play basketball. After college in Nebraska, Mary decided to settle in Taos, close to her father to whom she was devoted. In 1934, she married Joe A. Sanchez and in 1935 gave birth to her only child, Gene. She was always active in civic organizations. Mary was appointed Deputy County Clerk in 1936 and she was the 2nd woman appointed to the City Council. Mary assumed more responsibility when she was named District Court Clerk and Chief Deputy County Treasurer. She worked as the local board clerk for the Selective Service until the war ended. In 1946 Mary put her business acumen to work by opening the successful curio/woman's clothing store called Plaza Dress and Curio Shop which she ran for 16 years. She always loved art and her passion for fine art and was stimulated by her friendships with the Taos Founders, Fechin, Gaspard, Dole Reed and many others. She herself was an impressionist painter who experimented with abstract expressionism. She studied abroad in Italy and in Taos with Emil Bristtram. In 1960, Mary, was approached by artists Mario Larrinaga and Eric Gibberd to join in a venture to open an art gallery. Not a passive stockholder, Mary was the Associate Director and Secretary of what eventually became known as Gallery A. Ultimately, Mary took over the Directorship and ownership of the gallery and it remains, today, one of New Mexico's most successful and oldest galleries. Because of her love for art and her good eye she became patron and representative to many fine artists such as her good friend, Gene Kloss. Barbara Latham, Howard Cook, Kenneth Adams, Elmer Schooley and a host of other artists were represented by Mary's gallery over the 41 years. She nurtured the careers of many and also helped countless clients who began collecting art under her guidance. In 1994 her son, Gene, took over the administration of Gallery A and Mary continued to work part time until health issues forced her to retire in January of 2000. Generous with her time, energy and charitable contributions, Mary served on the boards of Holy Cross Hospital and Millicent Rogers Museum. Over the years Mary's reputation has become virtually legendary in the arts, a role model known for her boundless energy and dedication that brought success to every venture she undertook. Mary L. Sanchez has become an integral part of Taos's history. She will be long remembered and treasured by her family, her many friends, clients and business associates for her generous spirit, her loyalty and her enthusiasm for life. She was preceded in death by her father, Corydon Capen Lowe, her mother, Domatila"Tillie" Reed, her brothers, Larkin and Ben and two sisters, Lucy and Domatila who both died as infants. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Joe Arsenio Sanchez; her son, Gene, daughter-in-law, Jules; three grandsons, Corydan, Benjamin and James; three great-grandchildren, Samantha, Michael and Jason; nephew, Ben Lowe (Karen) of Albuquerque; niece, Terry Lowe of California and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 18, 2001 at 12:00 noon at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Memorial Reception will be held on Friday, May 18, 2001 at 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at Gallery A, 107 Kit Carson Rd. Arrangements by Rivera-Hanlon Funeral Home. Valenti -- Paul Joseph Valenti, 73, passed away on May 12, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Josephine Ann; his daughter, Elizabeth Rhiger and her husband, Charles; his son, Joseph and his wife, Patricia, grandson Justin; daughter Paula Brannock and grandchildren, Daniel and Amy. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1948 and retired from the N.Y. Police Dept. in 1974. Services will be held at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd NE on Friday at 9:00 a.m.

Wadell -- Eleanor R."Ellie" Wadell, 61, a resident of Albuquerque since 1981, died on Wednesday, May 9, 2001. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Lt. Col. James A. Wadell USAF-Retired of Albuquerque; daughters, Lara W. Kelley and husband, Bryan K. of Tucson, AZ and Kristel H. Jonkosky and husband, Charles K. Jr. of Phoenix, AZ. Eleanor faithfully served her country as an Air Force wife and civil servant. She served her community as a Brownie and Girl Scout leader and also taught school. She was of Welsh heritage and grew up in the Philadelphia area. Eleanor was a graduate of Grove City College in Pennsylvania. She loved her family and enjoyed reading, flowers and quilting. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, May 15, 2001, 3:00 p.m. at Kirtland Air Force Base East Chapel, Chaplain Greg L. Woodbury, officiating. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements by French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel.

Yambao -- Carlos Vo Yambao, 27, a resident of Albuquerque since 1983, died Saturday, May 12, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Kristin Yambao of Albuquerque; stepdaughter, Ashley; daughters, Chloe and Eva; sons, Xavier and Elijah; father, Manuel Yambao of Albuquerque; mother, Nhu-Mai Vo and husband, Ky Dinh of Albuquerque; brothers, Michael and Thien-Nam; sister, Di-An; grandparents, Edwin and Elsie Piper; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Carlos was a dedicated and loving husband, father and son and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was born in Vietnam and came to the United States in 1983. Carlos graduated from Highland High School in 1991 and attended the Art Center. He was very accomplished as a computer animator in such films as �Men In Black,� �The Siege,� �Battlefield Earth,� �X-Files,� and numerous other films in which he worked with Joe Conti. Carlos was preparing to work with George Lucas on numerous films. He also instructed computer animation in the computer lab at TVI. Carlos was an avid fisherman and soccer player. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, May 16, 2001, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Deacon Paul Nguyen reciting. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, May 17, 2001, 9:30 a.m., with Father Joseph Thai Minh Tran, Celebrant. Cremation to follow.
