Mr. Martin Marentes died Saturday, May 12, 2001 in Amarillo, TX at the age of 33. He is survived by his father, Antonio Marentes; mother, Bertha Marentes; brothers, Antonio Marentes, Carlos Marentes, Alejandro Ramon Marentes, Pedro Marentes, Cruz Marentes and Alfredo Marentes; sisters, Angelica Ponce, Elizabeth Rivera, Cristina Marentes, Bertha Alicia Marentes and Maria Elena Huff; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Marentes will be held on Thursday at San Jose Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his brothers, Antonio, Carlos, Alejandro, Pedro, Cruz and Alfredo Marentes. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Marentes, Carlos Marentes Jr., Emiliano Marentes, Marcos Bustamante, Jose Ponce, Josue Ponce, Elias Ponce and Gregorio Ponce. Visitation for Mr. Marentes will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Mortuary Chapel. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
