Albrecht -- Helen M. Albrecht, 90, passed away at St. Clare Meadows Care Center in Baraboo, WI on Tuesday, April 10, 2001. Helen was born on November 25, 1910 in Indiana. She moved to New Mexico with her first husband, Edgar Murray, who later passed away while they where traveling in Sweden. Helen and Edgar had a bowling alley in Los Lunas, NM and a dairy farm in Bosque Farms, NM. Helen was the last living founder of the Peralta Memorial Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in the local libraries and helped to establish the Los Lunas Public Library. She also worked in the county clerk's office. Helen graduated from De Pauw University where she was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. In 1980, after being a widow for three years, she married James Albrecht. She was a member of St. Camillus in Wisconsin. Helen is survived by her loving husband, James Albrecht, of Merrimac, WI; the Murray children, Donald and wife, Alanna of Phoenix, Douglas of Las Vegas, Paul and wife, Gail of Albuquerque, Bruce and wife, Carole of CA; one special granddaughter, Lisa; the Albrecht children, James M. and wife, Rita of Merrimac, WI, Margaret and husband, Hank Loncki of Lodi, WI, Barbara and husband, Phil Rowley of AL, and Mike of Albuquerque; and eight special grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2001, 10:00 a.m. at the Peralta Memorial United Methodist Church. Romero Funeral Home, Belen, NM
