Ervin -- Raymond F. Ervin, a resident of Bosque Farms, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2000, after a long illness. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta. Ray retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years of outstanding and dedicated service, retiring as an Aircraft Mechanic and a Flight Engineer. He retired from the Civil Service at Kirtland Air Force Base. He was an avid outdoorsman and never missed a chance to go hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Maurice L. Ervin and Gertrude M. Briggs. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Jo Ann of the family home in Bosque Farms; two children, Wendy Petersdorff and her husband, Rick of Jacksonville, FL and John A. Ervin and his wife, Laura of Virginia Beach, VA; three grandchildren, Joseph, Felicia, and Sean; three sisters, Theresa Bechtold, Marie Vider, and Loretta Zeman and her husband, Charles, all of Pueblo, CO; three brothers, Larry Ervin and his wife, Lee, Charles Briggs and his wife, Patti, all of Pueblo, CO, and Patrick Briggs and his wife, Joanie of Spring, TX; sister-in-law, Olga McBride of Pueblo, CO. Ray is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be held on Sunday, 6:00 p.m., at Romero Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Geuss -- Donald William Geuss died on May 4, 2000 in Albuquerque. He was born in Easton, PA and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He moved to Albuquerque where he was employed at Sandia Labs for 28 years. He was an active member of the Bible Teaching Center, a member of the Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Department, and Co-Director of Shilo Youth Camp. Survivors include his wife, Rev. Bonnie Geuss of Albuquerque; children, mark Geuss and wife, Alva of Albuquerque, Christy Garcia and husband, Tom of Rio Rancho, Daryl Geuss and wife, Cynthia of Albuquerque, Glenn Geuss and wife, Michelle of Albuquerque, Donald Geuss and wife, Josephine of Tulsa, OK and Gary Geuss and wife, Roxanne of Rio Rancho; foster children, Diane Stevenson and husband, Stewart of Albuquerque, and Bradley Morgan of Denver, CO; brother, Dale Geuss and wife, Mary Margaret of Easton, PA; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three foster great-grandchildren. Griego -- Marvin Natividad Griego, 48, passed away May 3, 2000. He was preceded in death by his father, Nestor D. Griego. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; his mother, Nettie I. Griego; one brother, Nestor E. Griego; three sisters, Diana, Katherine, and Audrey; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and family who loved and will miss her. Grimes -- Zelma Grimes, 103, passed away May 2, 2000. She was born July 14, 1896 to Frank and Mary Grimes in Cuero, TX, where she was the youngest of nine children. After graduation from Cuero High School, she completed her Masters Degree studies in Home Economics at Prairie View University. From there she taught Home Economics in schools in Texas, Oklahoma and Mississippi. For the last 25+ years, Miss Grimes had worked and retired from the YMCA. She is survived by her niece, Hortense Newton of Yoakum, TX; nephews, Frank Goodson and Walter Wayne Goodson of Yoakum, TX, and Willie Hicks of Los Angeles, CA; numerous other nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews; as well as her special friends, Hattee Moss, and Les and Harriet James. The family wishes to thank the staff at Sunbridge West Mesa for making Miss Grimes feel as if she was part of a family. Cremation arrangements are by Sunrise Society, (891-8200).

Haar -- Eric Haar passed away unexpectedly May 3, 2000 at the age of 21. He is survived by his parents, Patrick and Debra of Albuquerque; brother, Jon and his wife, Heather of South Korea; sister, Allison of Albuquerque; grandparents, Leo and Eleanor Haar of Aberdeen, South Dakota and Rodney and Delores Peterson of Bismarck, ND; five uncles, Michael Haar and wife, Pam of Silver Lake, KS, Brad Haar and wife, Shirley of Madison, SD, John Haar of Chicago, Brian Peterson and wife, Judy of Bismarck, ND and Bruce Peterson and wife, Tammy of Chandler, AZ; and many cousins and good friends, Lauren and Kristen Frost, Sean Mackey, Stuart Lamb, John Coyle and many others. Eric attended schools in Minnesota and New Mexico before graduating from La Cueva High School in May, 1997. After graduation he worked at a variety of jobs and attended college in South Dakota for a year. Eric was an avid soccer and hockey player and he had a passion for model trains. He left behind a great number of people whom he helped in various ways. Klauschie -- Jose Klauschie, 75, a resident of Albuquerque for 50 years, died Thursday, May 4, 2000. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Frank H. Klauschie of the family home; daughter, Rita B. Conlon and husband, John; son, William F. Klauschie and wife, Linda, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, John W. Conlon and wife, Joy, Frank W. Conlon and wife, Melynda, Maria T. Rupley and Steve Prindle, Bridget A. Conlon, Jennifer L. Klauschie, Nathan Klauschie, Kate Klauschie, Samuel"Sam" Klauschie, Christina Klauschie and Jimmie Klauschie; great-grandchildren, Johnathan Conlon, Alex Prindle and Emily Prindle; sister, Rachel Roth and husband, Felix of Germany; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Klauschie was born in Steendorp, Belgium on July 8, 1924. She married Frank H. Klauschie on May 25, 1946 in Antwerpen, Belgium. After the war they returned to Frank's home state of Nebraska and then moved to Albuquerque in 1950. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church where she was actively involved in the school, The Community at Prayer, and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Mrs. Klauschie was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother who always put her family first. Her love was so great that it extended beyond her family to everyone she met. She was famous for her ox-tail soup. Mrs. Klauschie loved to knit and her children and grandchildren enjoy sweaters and afghans she made. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Monday, 9:30 a.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Pl. SE, with Father Joseph Roy, Celebrant and Father Bob Keller, O.P., Co-Celebrant. La Bine -- Edward Joseph La Bine died Tuesday, May 2, at the age of 89. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; daughter, Barbara Tellier, and grandchildren, Catherine and Jacob Tellier of Albuquerque; son, Thomas, and grandchildren, Nicholas and Scott La Bine; sister, Delia Chaudoir of Green Bay, WI; and nephew, Fritz La Bine of Long Lake, WI. He was preceded in death by sister, Celia; brothers, Art, Ernest, Fred, Delore and Herman; baby son, Robert; and daughter, Joan. Mr. La Bine was born in Coleman, Wisconsin, August 4, 1910 to Herman La Bine and Celia St. Germaine. He married Eleanor Louise Holmes in June of 1934 and settled in Tipler, Wisconsin. He was a farmer, school bus driver, and woodsman before retiring to Albuquerque in August of 1980. The family wishes to thank the staff at Albuquerque Manor and Sandia Hospice for his care in recent months. French Mortuary is in charge of cremation. He had been a resident of Albuquerque for the past five years, and was an active member of the Bear Canyon Senior Center and of Grace Church. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Harold leaves his beloved partner, Dreama C. Small; his son, Harold Louck Jr. and wife, Aida and their children, Stephanie, Jennifer, and Alec, all of Moorpark, CA; his daughter, Linda Radar and husband, Dick and her daughter, Dorothy, all of Gardenia, CA; his mother, Jessie Louck of Aledo, IL; his brother, Dan Louck of Hyattsville, MD; and many other relatives and friends. Martinez -- 1919-2000 Marcos G. Martinez, a resident of Belen, died on May 4, 2000. He was born on November 13, 1919 in Valverde, NM to Casimiro and Genoveva Martinez and lived in San Marcial, NM during his youth. A World War II veteran, Marcos served his country in the Navy and was aboard the U.S.S. West Virginia that was sunk at the bombing of Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. He also served aboard the U.S.S. Lexington, the U.S.S. Copahee, U.S.S. Iowa, and the U.S.S. Hancock. He received the following decorations: Asiatic; Pacific Nine Stars; American Area; African; European Area; Philippine Liberation Two Stars; American Defense One Star; Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon; Victory Medal World War II; and the Good Conduct Medal. Following the end of World War II, he married Rosenda Armijo on July 8, 1946. He retired from Sandia Labs in 1981 after 25 years of service. Marcos was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, and the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, Albuquerque Chapter. He is survived by his loving wife, Rosenda of Belen; seven children, Vangie D. Martinez of Albuquerque, Jerry G. Martinez and wife, Eva of Belen, Monico E. Martinez of Jarales, Ramon A. Martinez and wife, Betty of Pueblitos, Jose M. Martinez and wife, Anna of Belen, Irene C. Garcia and husband, Donald of Belen, and Bernadette F. Martinez of Lewisville, TX; 21 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Other survivors include his siblings, Filiberto Martinez of Socorro, Josie Gonzales of Belen, Siprianita Ortega of Belen; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church with a Rosary to be recited at 5:00 p.m. Following the Rosary, at 6:00 p.m., will be a gathering for family and friends at the Parish Hall. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 8, 2000, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church with Father Tom Greancy officiating. Burial with Military Honors will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Brian Martinez, Christopher and Jose Martinez, Samuel Martinez, Derek Crnkovich and Carla Martinez. Mcgregor -- Grant R. McGregor, 87, beloved husband of June L. McGregor, died of cancer on May 3, 2000, at the Washington Home and Hospice in Washington, D.C. Born on August 27, 1912 in Lake Valley, New Mexico, he grew up on his family's ranch near Hillsboro. He attended New Mexico State and then worked as an electrician and mechanic in mines near Silver City and Magdalena. Mr. McGregor moved to Albuquerque in 1947. In 1948, after convincing Farmers of the advantages of having an office convenient to his clients, he opened his own agent office - Albuquerque's first - on Fourth Street NW. He operated that office for fifty years, until he retired in spring, 1998. Mr. McGregor was honored with membership in the Farmers' Toppers Club on 13 occasions, and he was selected for the President's Council five times. He became a Mason in 1936 and was Master of Magdalena Lodge in 1975 and 1976. He was also a Shriner. He helped to found St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in 1950, where he served on the Vestry several times. Survivors include his wife, June L. McGregor; a brother, Malcolm McGregor; a daughter, Kaye Loughrey; two step-sons; two step-daughters; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family asks that donations be made in his memory to the Transportation Fund, Ballut Abyad Temple, P.O. Box 8410, Albuquerque, NM 87198, which enables New Mexico children to travel to the Shriner's Hospital for Children. An announcement will be made regarding a memorial service being planned for this summer in Albuquerque.

Moya -- Mrs. Frances L. Moya, 65, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on May 4, 2000, at home with her loved ones at her side. Riordan -- Frank Baker Riordan passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2000 at the age of 89. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marti; and by his brother, Rodney and sister, Maude. He is survived by his children, Mary Riordan, Julie Rogers and husband, Pat, Tim Riordan and wife, Lori, Andy Riordan, and Kitty Riordan; as well as six grandchildren. He was born in Solomon, Kansas on October 27, 1910 and moved to Albuquerque with his family in 1922. He attended St. Mary's School, Albuquerque High School, and the University of New Mexico, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He served in World War II in the Army Air Corps as a reconnaissance photographer. In 1928, he started working at Riedling Music Company, which he eventually became owner of, in 1955, and made it one of Albuquerque's most successful music stores. He served on the boards of the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, and the Goodwill. He was also an active member of Kiwanis and the Executive Association of Greater Albuquerque. He was a loyal supporter of Lobo Sports, most especially Lobo basketball, which he loved to watch. He was a much loved father and grandfather, and will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank Sandia Hospice for their loving care and support near the end. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, 3301 Menaul Blvd. NE, Suite #4, Albuquerque, NM 87107. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., this evening, at Sandia Funeral Care, 7601 Wyoming NE. A Memorial service will be held on Monday, May 8, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE.

Rodriguez -- Frances D. Rodriguez, 68, born November 2, 1931 in Truchas, New Mexico, went to the Lord on May 6, 2000. Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend of many. She was preceded in death by Modesto Rodriguez; daughters, Sylvia Rodriguez; grandson, Dennis Lee Trujillo. Mrs. Rodriguez is survived by sons, Alex Rodriguez and Rod Rodriguez; daughters, Clara Trujillo and husband, Dennis, Hazel Chavez, Becky Mendoza and husband, Jose; 17 grandchildren whom adored her; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Emily Montoya and husband, Filiberto, Dolores Trujillo, Lena Salazar and Vera Marujo; special friend, Vrial Mendoza; and also adored by many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She will be greatly loved and will be missed by many. Go in peace. Mrs. Rodriguez was a member of the Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. in Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, with visitation after 6:30 p.m. Herman Flores reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 9:00 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW, with final visitation at the church after 8:30 a.m. Father Manuel, Celebrant of the Mass. Sanchez -- Eulogio S. Sanchez, 87, a resident of Jarales, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2000. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Eulogio proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII, receiving a Purple Heart for his bravery and courage. Eulogio retired from the Bureau of Reclamation. He was also a well-known area businessman, owning and operating Larry's Fruit Stand for over 32 years. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Brian Sanchez. Eulogio is survived by his loving wife, Estella of 63 years of the family home in Jarales; his five children, Joe Sanchez of Jarales, Lourdes Ponce and her husband, Richard of Alhambra, CA, Alfonso Sanchez of Jarales, Macario Sanchez of Belen, Lorenzo Sanchez of Jarales; 15 loving grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; his sister, Mercedes Vergada. Eulogio is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be held on Monday, 7:00 p.m., at Romero Funeral Home. Shelto -- Mr. Jon H. Shelto, 58, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on May 4, 2000. Mr. Shelto is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, Mariah; one daughter, Jazzy Shelto; two sons, Darrel Mullendore and Charles Shelto and wife, Denise; six grandchildren, Darrle Jr., Brittany, Charles, John, Mariah, Lucerta and Jon Andrew; three sisters, Ellen Dawkins and husband, Louis, Marilyn Shelto and Karen Lowe; three brothers, Steven Shelto and wife, Marie, Clarence Shelto and Kevin Shelto; several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Mr. Shelto was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, a Minister of the word, A Gospel singer, a painter, and loved his family. A prayer service will be Sunday afternoon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor James Mitchell, officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. Walter -- Grace Hoover Walter, age 86, a former resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday in Ft. Worth, TX, where she had been residing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence M. Walter in 1979. She is survived by her son, Patrick Lawrence Walter and wife, La Vonne of Ft. Worth, TX; grandchildren, Christopher Lawrence Walter, M.D. and wife, Heidi of Las Vegas, NV, Darron Patrick Walter and wife, Kristin of Albuquerque, and their mother, Tersa Walter; great-granddaughter, Bailey Morgan Walter; and sister, Thelma Johnston of New York. Family visitation will be at the funeral home, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday. Warchol -- Denise"Dee Dee" Warchol, 39, a resident of Albuquerque, died following surgery on Friday, May 5, 2000. She was born in Tucson and had lived in Albuquerque since 1997. She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Jose Warchol. He was her soul mate and best friend, just as she was his. She is also survived by sons, Evan Brown and Kristofer Mortensen and daughter, Alex Mortensen of Albuquerque; father, Dennis Mortensen of Tucson, AZ; brothers, Craig Mortensen and wife, Lynne of Phoenix, AZ, Michael Mortensen and wife, Susan, Ben Mortensen of Tucson, AZ;"adopted" sister, Anita Vasquez of Phoenix, AZ; four nieces and three nephews; uncle and aunt, James and Jeannine Nunez of Tucson, AZ. Dee Dee will be remembered as a loving, cherished and devoted wife, mother and friend. She was a gentle person and a friend to all whom she touched. She enjoyed being active in her children's lives. She loved flowers, quilting and sewing. Dee Dee left us very suddenly and unexpectedly, carried in the arms of angels and laid to rest in God's hands.
