Maldonado -- Mrs. Florinda Maldonado, 88, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on May 5, 2000. Mrs. Maldonado is survived by three daughters, Mela Gutierrez and husband, Robert, Erlinda Gabaldon and husband, Gilbert and Angela Sanchez and husband, Henry; four sons, George McAfee and wife, Stella, Joe McAfee and wife, Annie of Whitier, CA, Leroy McAfee and wife, Isabel of Chandler, AZ and Frank McAfee and wife, Gloria of Chilili, NM; three sisters, Perfy Marquez and husband, Tony, Trinidad Gallegos and Lilly Keylon and husband, Jack; one brother, Daniel Gutierrez and wife, Oralia; 22 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Maldonado; parents, Francisco and Manuelita Gutierrez; grandson, Frank McAfee Jr.; sisters, Anastacia Valencia and Josephine Gabaldon and a brother, Vigilio Gutierrez. Mrs. Maldonado was a member of the Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited Sunday evening, 8:00 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW, with visitation at the church after 7:30 p.m. Gabriella Nieto reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, 9:00 a.m., at Holy Family Church with visitation after 8:30 a.m. Father Manuel Viera, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Russell McAfee, Chris McAfee, Chris Sanchez, Steven Pacheco, Marcos Sanchez and David Cabrera. Honorary will be Rudy Acosta Jr., Nicholas Sanchez, Joshua Blair, Eli Gonzales and Garrett Vigil. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, in charge of the arrangements.
