Obituary for Shelto

Mr. Jon H. Shelto, 58, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on May 4, 2000. Mr. Shelto is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, Mariah; one daughter, Jazzy Shelto; two sons, Darrel Mullendore and Charles Shelto and wife, Denise; six grandchildren, Darrle Jr., Brittany, Charles, John, Mariah, Lucerta and Jon Andrew; three sisters, Ellen Dawkins and husband, Louis, Marilyn Shelto and Karen Lowe; three brothers, Steven Shelto and wife, Marie, Clarence Shelto and Kevin Shelto; several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Mr. Shelto was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, a Minister of the word, A Gospel singer, a painter, and loved his family. A prayer service will be Sunday afternoon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor James Mitchell, officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. A Committal service with full Military Honors is scheduled for Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Martin Salazar, Juanito Salazar, Michael Montoya, Frankie Montoya, Angelo Mares, and Joey Martinez. Gabaldon Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
