His activities and hobbies included wrestling, football, running, weight-lifting, and fishing. Carman -- Donnie Gene Carman, 61, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, June 18, 1999 after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Shirley R. Carman of Albuquerque; daughters, Donna R. Carman, Blanca Carman, Cindy Kraus, Julia Enriquez, Michele Paynter and Maria Scarpelli; sons, Donald Carman, Darell Carman and Andrew Oesman; beloved grandchildren; one great-grandson; many brothers, sisters, family members and friends. His family and friends will remember him for his kind, loving and giving heart. Mr. Carman served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was very active in the Teamsters Local #492 as President, Business Agent, Steward and member. Cox -- Mary S. Cox, 101, a resident of Fort Collins, CO formerly of Bosque Farms from 1943-1951, and Albuquerque from 1951-1975, died Wednesday, June 16, 1999. She is survived by a daughter, Betty Ruth Moseley, and husband, William W. of Fort Collins, CO; son, James L. Cox and wife, Nell of Bosque Farms; daughter, Linnie Belle Hyde and husband, Walter of Cedar Crest; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her husband, Newt H. Cox; and grandson, Burl H. Cox. She taught school for 21 years at Isleta Pueblo and the Albuquerque Indian School. Mrs. Cox was a former member of Heights Baptist Church in Albuquerque. Services will be held Monday, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Danielson -- Carl Evan Danielson passed away quietly at home on Thursday, June 17. Dan came to Albuquerque from Chicago with his family. He became an active member in community and church activities. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Juanita; five children, Carol (Randall), Mark (Cindy), Jeanne, Carrie, and Tom; six grandchildren, Jeannette (Ken) Evan, Denita (Todd), Donnie (Monique), Tige, and Patrick; and two great-grandchildren, Emma and Clayton. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 20, 1:30 p.m., at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 114 Carlisle SE. Durrie -- Elizabeth Browning Durrie, 51, of Washington, DC, died at her home in Georgetown after a courageous eight month fight with gastric cancer. She was raised in Albuquerque, graduating from Highland High and attending UNM for two years before transferring to, and graduating from, Santa Clara University in California. She was most recently the two-term past President and longterm board member of St. Francis Center for loss and bereavement. She was also a dynamic and tireless fund-raiser for the scholarship and development programs of her children's schools in Washington, the National Cathedral School, and the Maret School. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Georgetown, Pi Beta Phi sorority while at UNM, the Junior Leagues of New York and Washington, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also a member of Kenwood Country Club where she played competitive club tennis; she was an accomplished athlete and avid fan. Survivors include her husband of 30 years, J. Nicoll Durrie Jr. (also raised in Albuquerque); two children, Justin Durrie of Portland, OR and Kyle Durrie of Brunswick, ME; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George W. Browning Jr. of Little Rock (and Albuquerque for 40 years); and two brothers, George W. Browning III and Edward C. Viereckt, both of Baltimore. Memorial services were held June 15 at Christ Church. Gough -- Joan Wells Gough, 72, of Charlottesville, Virginia, died Thursday, June 17, 1999 at a Charlottesville, VA hospital. Born July 9, 1926 in Concord, NH, she was the daughter of the late Chauncey Wells and Beulah Griffin Wells. She was a 1944 graduate of Newton Wellesly Hospital School of Nursing and practiced nursing for many years in Massachusetts, New York, New Hampshire, and New Jersey and also an antique dealer associated with Blue Ridge Antique Emporium, and Antiquer's Mall. She is survived by four sons, Eric Gough and his wife, Ting of Wilton, CT, Edward Gough and his wife, Roberta of Rochester, NY, Cameron Gough and his wife, DiNyce of Hackettestown, NJ and Andrew Gough and his wife, Joan of Brookfield, CT; one daughter, Kristina Gough of Charlottesville, VA; seven grandchildren, Sam, Tim, Jennifer, Mathew, William, Ian and Erik. Griffith -- William"Bill" Griffith, 76, a resident of Albuquerque for three years, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, June 16, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Betty Griffith of Albuquerque; sons, William C. Griffith Jr. and wife, Nancy of Washington, Charles L. Griffith of Colorado; step-children, Richard Skoumal and wife, Sue of Louisiana, Carey Skoumal of Colorado, Cheryl Skoumal of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Elin, Gregory, Katie, and Jessica Griffith, all of Washington; step-grandchildren, Danielle and Nicholas Weiss, both of Louisiana, and Nicole Skoumal of Albuquerque; brother, James Griffith and wife, Joy of British Columbia; sisters, Mary Thompson of Minnesota and Marjorie Hacker and husband, Harley of Montana; and many nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. Bill retired from the United States Air Force as a Lt. Col. after 28 years of dedicated service as a Fighter Pilot. Lang -- Yolanda Turrieta Lang. The dancer took her final bow on Wednesday, June 16, 1999 after a short ravaging bout with cancer and its treatments. Surviving is Yolanda's husband, Bob and their children and a large number of family, friends, and fans. She loved them all and we all loved her. Her musician friends sent her out with beautiful renditions of the music that was her passion. He was a native New Mexican, raised in Virden, New Mexico, earned his Law degree at George Washington University, and practiced law for 30 years in Albuquerque. Pino -- David Pino, 57, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, June 17, 1999. Mr. Pino was a parishioner of St. Edwin's Catholic Church; he retired from the Albuquerque Public Schools after 25 years of employment; David enjoyed fishing, camping and the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his father, Samual Pino. He is survived by his loving wife, Celina Pino of the family home; one daughter, Brenda Nieto and fiance, Danny Lial; one son, Michael Pino and wife, Melissa; his precious grandchildren, Luciano Martinez, Ashley Nieto, Floyd Pino, Adrian Pino, and Mischa Pino. Also surviving are his mother, Gabrielita Pino; one brother, Nicholas Pino and wife, Juanita; and one sister, Cruzita Clark and husband, Bob. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. Swingle -- Margaret Swingle, age 85, a resident of Albuquerque for 45 years, went home to be with the Lord on June 18, 1999. Taber -- Teddy Taber, 16, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, June 17, 1999, as a result of an auto accident. He is survived by his parents, Ted and Linda Taber of Albuquerque; sisters, Rachel Taber of Rush Springs, OK, Janna Hobson and Megan Taber, both of Albuquerque; brother, Jeff Hobson of Albuquerque; grandparents, Hazel Taber of Tucson, AZ and Jack and Corky Welch of Albuquerque, Shirley Decker and Terrie Childress of Rush Springs, OK; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Teddy attended Cibola High School and was active in football and wrestling. He was dearly loved by many friends and will be greatly missed. Wilson -- William R."Bob" Wilson, 52, a resident of the Rio Rancho area since 1980, died at the V.A. Hospital on Thursday, June 17, 1999. Mr. Wilson leaves behind his loving wife, Glenda Wilson; daughter, Tracy Vanessa Cervantes and husband, John; a precious grandson, John Christopher; mother, Nora Wilson; sister, Martha Ledlow; and brother, Dean Wilson. Bob was born in Hartselle, AL, March 2, 1947. He was married to Glenda M. Gray on January 21, 1967. In October 1968 a daughter was born, Tracy Vanessa. Mr. Wilson spent 23 years of his life in the Air Force receiving the Air Force Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster; Achievement Medal; Outstanding Unit Award with an oak leaf cluster; Organized Excellence Award; Good Conduct Medal with one silver oak leaf cluster; National Defense Service Medal; Overseas Short Tour Ribbon with one oak leaf cluster; Overseas Long Tour Ribbon; Longevity Service Award Ribbon with four oak leaf clusters; NCO PME Graduate Ribbon with one oak leaf cluster; Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon; and Training Ribbon.
