Obituary for Wilson

William R."Bob" Wilson, 52, a resident of the Rio Rancho area since 1980, died at the V.A. Hospital on Thursday, June 17, 1999. Mr. Wilson leaves behind his loving wife, Glenda Wilson; daughter, Tracy Vanessa Cervantes and husband, John; a precious grandson, John Christopher; mother, Nora Wilson; sister, Martha Ledlow; and brother, Dean Wilson. Bob was born in Hartselle, AL, March 2, 1947. He was married to Glenda M. Gray on January 21, 1967. In October 1968 a daughter was born, Tracy Vanessa. Mr. Wilson spent 23 years of his life in the Air Force receiving the Air Force Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster; Achievement Medal; Outstanding Unit Award with an oak leaf cluster; Organized Excellence Award; Good Conduct Medal with one silver oak leaf cluster; National Defense Service Medal; Overseas Short Tour Ribbon with one oak leaf cluster; Overseas Long Tour Ribbon; Longevity Service Award Ribbon with four oak leaf clusters; NCO PME Graduate Ribbon with one oak leaf cluster; Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon; and Training Ribbon. Services will be held Monday, 10:00 a.m., at Kirtland Air Force Base-East Chapel, with Chaplain Jeff James officiating. Interment will take place at 12:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
