Obituary for Gough

Joan Wells Gough, 72, of Charlottesville, Virginia, died Thursday, June 17, 1999 at a Charlottesville, VA hospital. Born July 9, 1926 in Concord, NH, she was the daughter of the late Chauncey Wells and Beulah Griffin Wells. She was a 1944 graduate of Newton Wellesly Hospital School of Nursing and practiced nursing for many years in Massachusetts, New York, New Hampshire, and New Jersey and also an antique dealer associated with Blue Ridge Antique Emporium, and Antiquer's Mall. She is survived by four sons, Eric Gough and his wife, Ting of Wilton, CT, Edward Gough and his wife, Roberta of Rochester, NY, Cameron Gough and his wife, DiNyce of Hackettestown, NJ and Andrew Gough and his wife, Joan of Brookfield, CT; one daughter, Kristina Gough of Charlottesville, VA; seven grandchildren, Sam, Tim, Jennifer, Mathew, William, Ian and Erik. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, June 20, 1999 at the Hill & Wood Funeral Home in Charlottesville, VA.
