Obituary for Griffith

William"Bill" Griffith, 76, a resident of Albuquerque for three years, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, June 16, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Betty Griffith of Albuquerque; sons, William C. Griffith Jr. and wife, Nancy of Washington, Charles L. Griffith of Colorado; step-children, Richard Skoumal and wife, Sue of Louisiana, Carey Skoumal of Colorado, Cheryl Skoumal of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Elin, Gregory, Katie, and Jessica Griffith, all of Washington; step-grandchildren, Danielle and Nicholas Weiss, both of Louisiana, and Nicole Skoumal of Albuquerque; brother, James Griffith and wife, Joy of British Columbia; sisters, Mary Thompson of Minnesota and Marjorie Hacker and husband, Harley of Montana; and many nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. Bill retired from the United States Air Force as a Lt. Col. after 28 years of dedicated service as a Fighter Pilot. He was also involved in Gideons International since 1981, and was a member of Sandia Baptist Church. Cremation has taken place and services will be held Saturday, June 26, 1:30 p.m., at Sandia Baptist Church, Dr. Bob Butler officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Gideons International, P.O.
