Allen -- Angeline Flora Allen passed away on November 9, 1998 after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, Winton E. Allen; two daughters, Judith Simmons and Adrianne Herring; and a son, Winton E. Allen, Jr. Mrs. Allen had nine grandchildren, Robert Simmons, Roderick Simmons, Kenneth Simmons, Andrew Simmons, Jennifer Simmons, Liane Blake, Lauren MacQuarrie, Kristina Jennings, Jason Allen; and seven great-grandchildren. Survivors also include her sister, Paula Schultz, Margaret Brooks, Sylvia Hernandez; sister-in-law, Josephine Hernandez; and many nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of Jose E. Hernandez and Martina Lucero Hernandez and was born in Bernalillo on September 27, 1914. She married Winton Allen in 1938, and for many years, lived away, returning to New Mexico in 1982. Mrs. Allen was a member of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Paradise Hills. A Memorial service will be held there at a later date with burial at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Bodenchuk -- John M. Bodenchuk, 80, of Alamogordo, died Wednesday, November 11, 1998 at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces. Mr. Bodenchuk was born April 19, 1918 in New York. He retired as a research engineer, and had lived in Alamogordo since 1973. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church; Beach Lodge #354, F. & A.M. in Florida; Sacramento Lodge #24, A.F. & A.M. in Alamogordo; Scottish Rite Consistory in Orlando, FL; Ballut Abyad Shrine Temple in Albuquerque; Rocket Shrine Club in Alamogordo; the national and local retired officers associations; the Air Force Association; and the local cancer support group. Survivors include his wife, Martha of the family home; three children, Lynn Ellen Von Hagel and her husband, Lance of St. Cloud, FL, Michael J. Bodenchuk and his wife, Debby of Grantsville, UT and John M. Bodenchuk Jr. of Tucson, AZ; and four grandchildren, Lacy and W. Ryan Daugherty of St. Cloud, FL and Hunter A. and Leigh Ann Bodenchuk of Grantsville, UT. Memorial services will be conducted Monday, 11:00 a.m., at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1212 Washington Ave., Alamogordo, with the Rev. Michael Struck officiating. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Hamitlon-O'Dell Funeral Home, 1334 N. Scenic Dr., Alamogordo. Carter -- Mary Carter, 86, a resident of Albuquerque for two years, died Friday, November 13, 1998. She was born June 13, 1912 in Oklahoma and resided in the Alamogordo area for over 40 years prior to moving to Albuquerque. Mrs. Carter is survived by her son, Doug Carter and wife, Mary of Midland, TX; daughters, Billie Jo Montgomery of Irvin, TX, Maxine Hebert and husband Kenneth of Albuquerque, May Carlson and husband, Rod Moulton of El Paso, TX, Fern Ellis and husband, Harvey of Boles Acres, NM, and Lenora Sandoval and husband, Richard of Colorado City, CO; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Chavez -- Thomas A. Chavez, 33, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died Thursday, November 12, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Velma (June) Tapia-Chavez of Albuquerque; daughters, Antoinette Tapia and Desiree Chavez, both of Albuquerque; parents, Elfego and Reina Chavez of Torreon; brother, Norbert Chavez and wife, Elva of San Antonio, TX; sisters, Carmen Sanchez and husband, Frank, Lupe Vigil and husband, Irvin, all of Albuquerque, Linda Herrera and husband, David of Long Beach, CA, Cathleen Chavez and Jessica Barboa and husband, Mark, all of Albuquerque; many loving nieces, nephews and cousins; paternal grandmother, Concepcion Chavez of Albuquerque; and Godsons, Daniel Tapia and Michael Chavez. Mr. Chavez was raised in Torreon, NM. He graduated from Estancia High School in 1983. Mr. Chavez served in the New Mexico National Guard. Coffman -- Waple Warren Coffman passed away November 5, 1998, a resident of Albuquerque for 53 years and Bloomfield, NM for nine years. Born in Homer, Louisiana on January 14, 1921 to L.H. and Dora Coffman. He attended the University of New Mexico, served in the Navy in WWII. Waple was a building contractor in Albuquerque and Colorado Springs, CO in the 50s and 60s. He was an avid reader and outdoorsman. He is survived by two sons, Gary Warren and Gene Niles Coffman of Gallup, NM and Las Vegas, NV; one grandsons, Preston; two sisters, Frances Pizinger, Melba Quick of Albuquerque; nieces, Sandra Stevens of Portland, OR, Patricia Desmond of Las Vegas, NV; nephews, Danny and Randall Quick of Albuquerque. Cremation has taken place. Services are pending at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe.

Cotton -- Catherine (Kay) P. Cotton, died November 13, 1998. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, John F. Cotton. She is survived by a son Theodore Cotton, New Orleans; a granddaughter, Alice Cotton-Lee, of Sackville, New Brunswick; a great-grandson Isaac; her brother, J. Robert Puckett, of Socorro; nephews Robert Lopez Tuckett, Iloilo, Philipines, Holm O. Bursom, Socorro, Earl F. Puckett, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, W. Robert Puckett, Naples, Florida, and James E. Puckett, Albuquerque. Kay was an airline hostess for Braniff Airlines before going to the Philippine Islands as secretary to the Alien Property Administrator after World War II. There she met John F. Cotton who became president of Manila Electric Company. They retired in Albuquerque in 1964. Mrs. Cotton was active in her church, First United Methodist. Crain -- R. Gene Crain, 59, a resident of Albuquerque since 1989, died Friday, November 13, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Karen E. Crain of Albuquerque; mother, Ruby Johnson of Ohio; four sisters; and one brother. Mr. Crain was a retired business manager of Local #953 Operating Engineers. He served in the U.S. Navy, attended the Oasis Family Church, and was an active member of the Bernalillo County Democratic Party. Eastman -- Mark Dewayne Eastman, 51, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 1998. Mark was born October 5, 1947, the son of Phillip D. and Beverly Richards Eastman in Albuquerque. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict. Mark worked in construction. He had been a member of the First United Methodist Church of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Beverly Eastman. Mark is survived by his sister, Kim DeMar and her husband, Roger of Corrales; three nieces, Jill Strahlendorf of Albuquerque, Jennifer DeMar and Stacy DeMar of Corrales. Filsinger -- Erwin C. Filsinger, 95, died Wednesday, November 11, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Lucille Filsinger; daughter, Erleen Casey; grandchildren, Janice Duggan and husband, Randell and La Donna Jones; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Filsinger moved to Albuquerque in 1949 from Warrenton, MO. He worked at Sandia National Laboratories for 16 1/2 years. Mr. Filsinger was a member of First Congregational Church. Gerber -- Ragnhild Schjervheim Gerber, 84, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away November 12, 1998. She is survived by her daughter, Michele (Mikki); son, David; sister, Selma Holt; as well as other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; her parents, Osmund and Anette Schjervheim; four brothers, Tom, Arvid, Alf Schjervheim and Peter Peterson. She was a gentle, warm, thoughtful and"down to earth" North Dakota woman. She was marvelously creative, artistic and had a wonderful sense of style. Beloved wife of Robert P. Lloyd -- SUSAN MERIDITH LLOYDA service celebrating the life of Susan Meridith Lloyd was held on Thursday, November 12, 1998 in Bakersfield, CA. Susan passed away Friday, November 6, 1998 after a courageous seven month battle with ovarian cancer. Susan was born February 6, 1947 in Morristown, New Jersey. She moved with her family to Albuquerque in 1952 and graduated from Sandia High School in 1965. In 1970, Susan graduated from New Mexico State University and began her teaching career in Bakerfield, CA. Susan is survived by her parents, Kenneth and Irma Lloyd, Albuquerque; brother, Kenneth and wife, Lee, Dallas, TX; brother, David and wife, Patricia, Lubbock, TX; one niece and four nephews; and her special friend and companion, Barbara J. Mcvicker -- B.L."Mac" McVicker, age 89, a resident of Albuquerque for 45 years, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Winnie McVicker of Albuquerque; daughter, Nancy Miller and husband, Ron of Albuquerque; son, Gary McVicker and wife, Pat of Golden, CO; sisters, Lois Bailey of Hennessey, OK and Neva Logan of Blackwell, OK; grandchildren, Diana Lynn McVicker of Bel Air, MD and Lauren Lee McVicker of Golden, CO. Mr. McVicker was preceded in death by three brothers. For some 40 years, Mac built bridges and over passes throughout New Mexico. He retired in 1981. Moya -- Sylvia T. Moya, 74, beloved wife and mother, peacefully went to be with the Lord, November 12, 1998. She was a dedicated member of Corrales Mission Church. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ramon G. Moya; sons, Roger Moya and wife Mary of California, Gilbert Moya of Denver, Raymond Moya Jr. and wife, Veronica, and Joseph Moya; daughter, Jennie Padilla and husband Joe; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; mother, Inez Tafoya; 15 brothers and sisters; and numerous family and friends who loved and will greatly miss her. Reedy -- Jeannette Catherine Reedy, born April 7, 1910 in Farmersville, OH, died November 11, 1998. First born and first to join her heavenly father of seven children born to Nora Askins Reedy and Raymond Leroy Reedy. She is survived by three brothers, Leonard Reedy and wife, Janice of Middletown, OH, Luther Reedy of Palmetto, FL, and Donald Reedy of Bokeelia, FL; three sisters, Virginia Hassen of Las Vegas, NV, Ruby Lange and husband, Fred of Ft. Meyers, FL, and Phyllis Young of Albuquerque. Jeannette had no children of her own, but was a very adored and beloved aunt to all her nieces and nephews, and a warm and loving friend to many. Before moving to Albuquerque in 1945 because of her mother's health, Jeannette was employed as a supervisor at the telephone company in Dayton, OH. Here she attended Browning Business School and completed an accounting course with LaSalle University in Illinois. She worked first in direct sales and then as a bookkeeper for several companies and a seasonal federal employee. Jeannette was a member of St. Timothy's Evangelical Lutheran Church where she served on the council and chaired the Hospitality Committee for 25 years. She was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority and held local and state offices. Miss Reedy was also a member of Parliamentarians. Her interests were many and varied, one of her favorites being gourmet cooking. She entertained family and friends with her lavish cuisine and was generous in sharing cooking secrets and recipes. Jeannette's life was a model of Christian devotion to her church, family and friends. Memorial services will be held Monday, 11:00 a.m., at St. Timothy's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 211 Jefferson NE, with Pastor Jonathan Holmer officiating. Roussos -- David Ernest Roussos, 37, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, November 12, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth"Lisa" Roussos; mother, Flora P. Zamora -- Mike M. Zamora, 90, beloved husband, father, grandfathers and brother, was called home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 12, 1998. He was born on July 8, 1908 in San Ignacio, NM. He was a resident of Albuquerque. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Magdalena Zamora of the family home; his son, Wil Lucero and wife Judy, of Manteca, CA; two grandsons, Justin Lucero and Gabriel Lucero; two sisters, Dulcinea De Luna of Long Beach, CA, Eugenia Martinez of El Paso, CA; and several nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his loving family.
