R. Gene Crain, 59, a resident of Albuquerque since 1989, died Friday, November 13, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Karen E. Crain of Albuquerque; mother, Ruby Johnson of Ohio; four sisters; and one brother. Mr. Crain was a retired business manager of Local #953 Operating Engineers. He served in the U.S. Navy, attended the Oasis Family Church, and was an active member of the Bernalillo County Democratic Party. Services will be held Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas NE. Cremation will follow the services. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas NE, Monday, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Oasis Family Church, 4800 Lomas NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
