Moralez -- Mr. Robert (Wapa) G. Moralez died Monday, December 30, 2002 in Albuquerque at the age of 55. Mr. Moralez is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Inez Moralez, and brothers, David, Frank and Anthony Moralez. He is survived by his daughter, Frances Moralez; brothers, Wilfred and wife, Barbara, Albert and wife, Lorraine, Toby and wife, Marcella, Chris and Joe Moralez; sisters, Corrine Moralez, Mary Silva and husband, Joe, Juanita Martinez and husband, Peter, Flora Vi Dera and husband, Efran, Gloria Moralez, Erlinda Cordova, Josie Ponce and Sally Padilla; and many nephews and nieces. Funeral Services for Mr. Moralez will be held on Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at San Jose Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Julian Cordova, Joey Moralez, Steven Moralez, Martin Silva, Juan Chavez and Albert Moralez Jr. A Rosary for Mr. Moralez will be recited on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Church. Cordova -- Mrs. Monica S. Cordova, 82, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on December 30, 2002. Mrs. Cordova is survived by her daughter, Nancy Silva and husband Arthur; one son, Antonio S. Cordova; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Silva; many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Mrs. Cordova was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Cordova; two sons, Charles and Robert; her parents, Roberto and Vidala Silva. Mrs. Cordova was a member of the Catholic Church. A visitation for Mrs. Cordova will be Thursday evening at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto. A final visitation will be Friday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Manuel Viera. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Arthur Silva, David J.Silva, Tony Dean Cordova, Joseph Torres, Jerry Cordova and Danny Cordova. Salazar -- Marcos M. Salazar, 86, a resident of Corrales, died Saturday, December 14, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Adelina Salazar of Corrales; children, Mel Salazar and wife, Grace of Corrales, Rachel Craft and husband, Bill of Oceanside, CA, Fidel Salazar and wife, Yvonne, David Salazar and wife, Yolanda, Rebecka Goodwin and Ray Flores, Elizabeth Sandoval and husband, Nazario, and Stella Cordova and husband, Jaimie all of Albuquerque; brother, Roy Salazar and wife, Charlotte of Indio, CA; sisters, Clara Rodriguez of Santa Fe, and Clorinda of Minnesota; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Priscilla Anctil in 1972 and by two grandsons. Marcos was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was also a member of the Bricklayerís Union Local #2. During the Great Depression he worked in many CC Camps here in New Mexico. During WWII he worked in Saginaw, Michigan building tanks and jeeps. He also worked on many of the exhibits at the Albuquerque Zoo. A service will be Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at French MortuaryóWestside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course, NW, (3 blocks N. of Paseo del Norte) with Pastor Max Martinez officiating. A second service will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Central Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2201 Estancia NW with Pastor Rick Dye, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Andrew Salazar, Michael Salazar, Micah Salazar, Joey Salazar, Phillip Anctil, Joseph Garcia, Donald Garcia, and Ernie Manzanares. Cortez -- Mr. Margo Cortez died Monday, December 9, 2002 in Albuquerque at the age of 83. Mr. Cortez was part owner of Brewer Specialties. In 1970 he received the Colonel Aid de Camp from the staff of the Governor of New Mexico, David F. Cargo. He was also the captain of the ushers at the 8:00 a.m. Mass at St. Therese Catholic Church. He was a considered a beloved honorary grandfather to many. Mr. Cortez is survived by his wife, Betty (Negrita) Cortez of the family home; son, Arnold J. Cortez and wife, Donna of Rio Rancho; beloved sister-in-law, Della Tafoya; brother, Albert J. Cortez and wife, Flora; his twin sister, Tomasita Chavez; sisters, Angie Gurule and husband, Luciano, and Margaret Armijo and husband, Luis; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mr. Cortez will be held on Thursday at St. Therese Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Lucero, Carlos Rodriguez, Paul Cortez, Vincent Gurule, Lee Armijo and Anthony Cortez. Honorary pallbearers will be Erik Hickman, William Hoskobec, Vince Cordova, Ray Lucero, George Lucero, Ray Silva, Dan Archuleta, Mike Ruiz, Frank Ruiz, Donald Montoya, Earl Santillanes, Albert Molinar, Adolph Lucero, Roger Madrid, Simon Chaves, Bobby Jaramillo and Robert Cortez. You were taken from us without a warning, leaving us without a chance to hold your hand or say good-bye. Little did we know that, that morning of November 23rd, 2001, God would call your name, and you would answer his call. In life we loved youdearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did'nt go alone for part of us went with you that morning that God called you home. Cordova -- Mary Elizabeth Cordova, Our Blessed Mother, born September 5, 1929, a devoted Christian, departed on November 5, 2002 to with our lord Jesus Christ. She is survived by four sons, Vincent Jr., Richard, Morris, and Mark Cordova; three daughters Anna Marie, Susanne, and Nancy Cordova; Fourteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Charlie and Richard Baca; and five sisters, Lena Hamilton, Virginia Chavez, Delores Hensley, Margaret Garcia, and Jennie Petty. She was preceded in death by brother, Jimmy Baca; sister, Agnes Armijo, and Gloria Castillo.
