Brooks -- Arthur J. Brooks, age 56, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, nephew and friend was called home to be with the Lord, Saturday, November 2, 2002, after a long illness. Arthur was born in Alliance,OH to the late Roy and Velma Leone Brooks Green; and was a long time resident of Rio Rancho. He graduated in 1965 from McKinley High School in Sebring, OH. Arthur served our country in the Untied States Air Force for six years; and received many awards and medals. He was a very active member of the American Legion Post #69, and of Post #118 until his illness. He was preceded in death by his step father, Shearron Green; two uncles, Arthur Moore and Wendell Moore. Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Kathleen (Kathy) T. Brooks of the family home; stepson, Gregory J. Andersen and wife Bonnie; his grandchildren, Kara, Kaycee, Kalista and Kirsten Andersen. Also surviving are sisters, Billie Jean Gallagher and husband Jim; stepsisters, Sharon Ann, Susie Green and Linda Faudrer; numerous sister and brother in laws; his aunt Vaunda Gorby and uncle Ray, uncle Jack Moore and aunt Judy both of Sebring, OH, uncle Richard Moore and aunt Maggie of Spokane, WA; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives; and a host of friends. Funeral services for Arthur will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda. Fellowship and refreshments will follow the services at the American Legion Post #69, 9000 4th Street NW. Calico -- David J. Calico, age 64, and an Albuquerque resident of 35 years died November 2, 2002. Survivors include his wife, Bernice of Albuquerque; daughter, Melissa Garcia of Albuquerque; sons, Todd Calico of Albuquerque, Chris Calico of ND, Paul Torres of Albuquerque; brother, Steve Calico of TX; and five grandchildren. Viewing and visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 8, 2002 at Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave. SE. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, November 9, 2002 in Palm Chapel located in Strong-Thorne Mortuary with Mr. Larry Pierson officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park 700 Yale Blvd SE. Strong-Thorne Mortuary is handling his arrangements.

Clark -- Emma E. Clark 1925-2002 Emma Elizabeth Clark, 77 passed away at the Heritage Health Care Center on Monday, November 4, 2002. She was born in Scammon Kansas on June 2, 1925, the daughter of Robert E. Clark and Myrtle"Billy" Bushnell Clark. As a young girl, she moved with her family to New Mexico. Emma married John Jacob Dinkel, the couple later divorced. She worked for an extended care facility in Southern California for many years as a dietary aide. She was pursuing her education to become a dietician when her daughter-in-law was killed. She quit school and returned to New Mexico to raise her grandsons, then 18 months and 6 months old. Emma was an avid reader. She also painted with oils. Surviving are her sons John Dinkel, Clinton Dinkel, and Brion Dinkel all of Chanute; three great grandchildren; sister Juanita Hill of Tucumcari, New Mexico; and brother Samuel Guy Perkins of Raton, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. at the Johnson Mortuary with Reverend Faron Morales officiating.

Cordova -- Mary Elizabeth Cordova, Our Blessed Mother, born September 5, 1929, a devoted Christian, departed on November 5, 2002 to with our lord Jesus Christ. She is survived by four sons, Vincent Jr., Richard, Morris, and Mark Cordova; three daughters Anna Marie, Susanne, and Nancy Cordova; Fourteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Charlie and Richard Baca; and five sisters, Lena Hamilton, Virginia Chavez, Delores Hensley, Margaret Garcia, and Jennie Petty. She was preceded in death by brother, Jimmy Baca; sister, Agnes Armijo, and Gloria Castillo.

Etoll -- Sarah M. Etoll, age 53, and an Albuquerque resident of 46 years died November 6, 2002. Survivors include her sister, Rachel; brothers, Michael, Christopher and Daniel. Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive her. Sarah was employed in the N.I.C. Unit at Presbyterian Hospital for 34 years and was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Viewing and visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Saturday, November 9, 2002 at Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE. Hunter -- Walter W. Hunter, 81, resident of North Liberty, IA, died Wednesday, November 6, 2002, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 11, 2002, at the Solon United Methodist Church, Solon, Iowa. Burial will be in the Lisbon Cemetery. Linville -- Charles"Chuck" Hubert Linville, 63, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 16 years, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2002. Chuck was born May 31, 1939 the son of Hubert Robison and Rebecca Jean Caplinger Linville in Greensburg, Indiana. Chuck had been a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service before retiring. Chuck was known as"Dad" of Chris-n-Dad's Baseball Card and Sports Shop at Montano Plaza from 1990 to 1993. He is survived by his wife, Janet"Kelli" Linville of the family home; three children, Leslie Jackson and husband, Teron of Florida, Tracie Walker and husband, Mike of Florida, and Christopher Linville and Lisa Masters of Rio Rancho; one sister, Mary Linville of Indiana; ten grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Chuck was an"adoptive" Dad to numerous friends. The Visitation for Chuck will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2002 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho, with a Graveside Service at 2:00 PM in Vista Verde Memorial Park. Russell -- Butch Russell, 56, a resident of Belen, peacefully joined our Lord on Wednesday, November 6, 2002. Butch was a long time employer of Transwestern Pipeline, but his heart and focus were always on his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Athalie Russell of Deming, NM. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Betty; his two sons, Warren and his wife, Jennifer of Las Cruces; and Aaron and his wife, Natalie of McKinney, TX; one granddaughter, Sutton; two sisters, Martie Smith and her husband, Jim of Rio Rancho, NM; and Loujean Getman and her husband, Raymond of Belen. He is also survived by his loving niece and nephews. A viewing will be held on Friday, November 8, 2002 from 2:30pm-5:00pm at Romero Funeral Home and a funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 9, 2002 at 10:00am at the First Baptist Church of Belen. Sedillo -- John Anthony Sedillo, 65, passed away peacefully, Monday, November 4, 2002, after a short illness. He was born May 19, 1937 to Juanita and Erminio Sedillo of Old Town, Albuquerque. John attended San Felipe Elementary School and St. Marys High School. Following high school, he entered the U.S. Navy in July 1954 and was assigned to the U.S.S. George K. McKenzie. After being honorably discharged in May 1958, he was employed by Albuquerque Southern Union Gas Company. In 1974, John took a transfer to continue his career with Southern Union Gas in El Paso, TX as Supervisor of Construction. He retired in 1996 as Superintendent, returning to Albuquerque in 1999. John was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather; and a friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all. John is survived by his wife of 46 years, Helen, who was his high school sweetheart; his three daughters and their families, Christine and husband, Mike Campos and their daughters, Stephanie and Andrea of Pflugerville, TX, Marie and husband, Pete Baeza and their daughter, Lia and son, Jonathan of El Paso, TX, and Lisa Richter and her son, Danny and daughter, Shelly of Amelia, OH. John is also mourned by his brother, Joe Sedillo; sisters, Mary Gonzales and Stella Madrid; many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Margaret Sanchez. John and Helen enjoyed traveling to many parts of the world. Along the way, they made many long-lasting friends from their cruises and tours. We would especially like to give our thanks to Sun Tours for all our fond, special memories. John was very active as a volunteer in several organizations. His dedication began in El Paso at the Columbia Hospital and also as a Court Appointed Special Advocate in Children's Court (C.A.S.A.). When returning to Albuquerque his volunteering service continued at St. Joseph Hospital. He loved being their mailman and being on the Medical Advisory Council. John continued as a C.A.S.A. Representative from 1997-2002. John was also on the Advisory Council for the Department of Senior Affairs from 1999-2002. He worked with the A.A.R.P. from 1998-2001 and also as a Docent for the Hispanic Cultural Center, 2000-2002. Mass will be celebrated, Friday, November 8, 2002, at 10:00 a.m., at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. John will be greatly missed by all that were touched by his kindness and love. Safely Home I am home in Heaven, dear ones; Oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty In this everlasting light. Then you must not grieve so sorely, For I love you dearly still; Try to look beyond earth's shadows, Pray to trust our Father's Will. Severns -- It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lulu Belle Severns. She passed away Sunday, November 3, 2002. She was 88 years old and was born November 20, 1913 in Williamsburg, Iowa. Lu was a wonderful wife for more than 50 years to Joseph William Severns, who preceded her in death in 1985. Living in Southern California most of her life, after Joe's death, Lu moved to Albuquerque to be closer to her son and his family. She is survived by her son, William; her daughter-in-law, Diane; and two granddaughters, Brittany Lynn and Kristin Melissa. She is also survived by three sisters, Carol, Vera Jean, and Dorothy, all of California. Lu was a delight to all who knew her, always the life of any gathering and a wonderful storyteller. One of her favorites was how she survived the Battle of Deming. Lu and her husband, Joe, after joining the Army Air Corps. in 1942, were transferred to Deming, NM from Whittier, CA. There she fought the weather, the blowing dust and dust Pneumonia. She was such a lively and funny lady that even her stories of her Deming years were fun to listen to again and again. Lulu was an accomplished organist and pianist. She was proud of the fact that she never took formal music lessons, and could play totally by ear. Her family and friends were always delighted when she sat down at the keyboard to play a tune. Music brought endless joy to her life. Lulu Belle was loved by all who knew her, young and old alike. Her upbeat, comical, sweet nature and quick smile will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Services will be held Saturday, November 9, 2002, at 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will take place at Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, CA, where she will be buried next to her beloved husband Joe. Williams -- James R. Williams, 52, a resident of Albuquerque for 40 years, passed away on November 6, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Maria Williams of Albuquerque; 3 stepchildren, Cesar Ruiz - Jimenez and wife, Kristen of Albuquerque, Edgar Ruiz of Albuquerque and Patricia Ruiz of San Diego, CA; 2 brothers, Fred Williams and Ronald Williams and companion, Marlene all of Albuquerque; 2 sisters, Clara Money and husband, Richard of EspaŅola, NM and Carolyn Williams of Albuquerque; aunt, Lupe Henrichsen of Pagosa Springs, CO. James is also survived by 3 step grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church and of the American Legion Post 100. James was also a great fan of B.B. King. Rosary will be recited on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, 3828 4th St. NW. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE.
