Arrington -- Armstead Arrington, 83, a resident of Albuquerque since 1945, went to Heaven on Tuesday, December 31, 2002."One in a Million,""Triple A," or"Tootley," as he is fondly remembered, began his life on a farm. It is from that humble start that he became the"honest as the day is long,""generous to a fault," and"as hardworking and sometimes as stubborn as a mule" tower of a man. He loved his family, and was loyal in work and in friendship. He lived out a full life in serving others; in the Army, Dept. of Energy, but more importantly in faith. He left a powerful legacy through his love of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Through his church attendance, study of The Bible, his praise and worship through song, his gifts of compassion and generosity along with the angelic presence of his wife, that instilled in his son, granddaughter and especially his great grandsons a life's time example to the importance of a personal relationship with Christ. He is greatly missed as he is survived by his son, Patrick Arrington and Mado Sutton, Daughter-in-law, Janice Arrington, Granddaughter, Becky and husband Thom Knowlton, and his treasured great-grandsons, Nathanael and Nicolas Knowlton, all of Los Lunas. He is also survived by 5 sisters, Ida Mae Poythress, Mary Hawkins, Jean Walker, Ethel Hedgepeth, Barbara Ayscue; and by his brother Marion Arrington, all of North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife Katie in 1995 and his brother Sam soon thereafter. Services will be held Friday, January 10, 2003 at 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation available same day from 9:30 am til time of service. Arrangements by French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.

Baber -- In Memory of Cameron Groom Baber 9/13/90 - 1/05/02 My dear Cameron, You are so missed. Things in this life on earth are just not the same. There is a huge"twinkle" missing in everything. Everyone notices it, feels it - as it should be. We miss your hugs, your willingness to help, your confidant ways, your pranks and playfulness, your charm, your competitive spirit, and yes, your strong will. We miss all the lessons we taught each other in those eleven years, as well as the tears - you had such a soft and sentimental heart. You demonstrated to all you exuberance for life, not always in permissible ways, but nonetheless, everyone remembers, everyone is sad, but we are all the better I can see, for who you were and what you gave. Your brother Logan is stronger in a Cameron sort of way - you'd be so proud. We know you adored and looked up to your big brother. He misses you terribly. We see it in so many ways, both big and small, but most all he missed how you made him laugh. No one could do it like you. We see it as we watch the videos of you boys growing up. He watches and laughs at your antics over and over. We hear a distinctive laugh. A laugh that is a unique language reserved only for you. You boys has so much fun together in your short eleven years as we look at the many pictures of everything you did and the miles of footage was shot. What some may have seen as a nuisance or expense has become a treasure where we can see you alive and well - doing what you did best, enjoying everything as it was happening. People and friends have supported, mourned, and comforted us in abundance, but none have forgotten. All remember and share different memories they miss and for that we are so grateful and proud of you. Cameron, you were a high maintenance child, but obviously it paid off - you made a world of difference. We're so proud of you, Cameron, especially your struggles that led to triumphs; you perseverance that led to victory, but most of all, we're thankful and proud of the boldness of your love and faith in your Lord Jesus Christ. As your IBIG necklace declares on the back"I am not ashamed" Romans 1:16. Those letters IBIG are synonymous with you, Cameron, as your Dad & I have it displayed on our license plates & many kids have the necklaces. We are grieving the loss of the dreams we had for you, as our son and as a brother. Our broken hearts are comforted by the fact that God has indeed tested our faith to the core and we stand strong only through His grace and mercy. He has given us His"peace that passes all understanding." We know you are walking and worshipping our King and someday soon, we as a family, not only here on earth, but as a family in Christ, will be together forever. Until that day, Cameron, we know the Lord has big plans for us, just like He had a plan for you. I used to tell you after nightly prayers,"Cameron, God has a big plan for you" and you would respond rather impatiently,"Well, what is it mom? I wish He would just tell me." I would remind you to wait on the Lord and pray for His will to be done, not our will. One of my favourite verses to claim is Psalm 27:13-14"I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord, Be of good courage, and He will strengthen your heart. Wait, I say on the Lord!" That is what God has so graciously shown Himself to be especially this past year-faithful to those who wait on Him. Thank you, Cameron, and thank you, Lord. We love and miss you, Cameron - see you soon! Mom, Dad & Logan

Bill is remembered as a caring and devoted husband, father, minister, teacher, and businessman who loved people as they were. He practiced unconditional love and always had time for anyone; his advice and counsel was sought frequently. His good sense of humor also added to his appeal.
